Butch should be permanently saved onto your cell phone and perhaps on speed dial! Neighbors had recommended him so i called, left a msg, returned my call, and showed up promptly at my house (i mean... literally on the dot) at 8am 2 weeks later. He is a family owned operated business- nice father and son duo so they divide and conquer the tasks. Not weird, shady, strange, etc..(unlike some random contractors) totally professional and gets to the point. I say this bc you've got to be vigilant and cautious who enters your home! So its TRUE, his prices are beyond FAIR! Lamp plus charged me $135 for a simple ceiling plan, butch charges less than 1\2 of that. He was in and out. Clearly, hes a veteran bc he installed my fans like he was tying his shoes! Uses 1 hand to lift it up while using the other to rewire. From what ive seen, took 2 people for each installation. Anyways, thank you for being so professional, patient, and affordable- makes home owners like us feel like its ok to splurge without breaking the bank. read more

We just had Butch B Electric do work in our home. We are very pleased with Butch's work. He replaced all the electrical outlets and switches in our home, and put up 3 fans. The work was done in a great time frame and the work was very reasonable, considering this is a licenced electrician. He found and repaired a plug that had burned inside, the plug was actually still working, we were unaware of this and think what could have happened, if we did not have this work done. We prefer to use local companies when we hire work. Butch is from the Rancho Cucamonga area, and has pride in his company. I called Butch early evening on a weekday to fix an electrical outlet problem and he was booked for the next two weeks, but advised me over the phone how to trouble shoot the problem on my own and that I could call back if I had any more issues or to see if he could fit me in his schedule since my kitchen outlets were dead. I followed Butch's advice and fixed the problem within 10 minutes. Kudos to Butch as he didn't have to give advice to fix the problem on my own; hence missing a job opportunity to make some money. I don't easily rate with 5 stars because I regard this category as perfection. But in this review, Butch earned it and here's why: 1. He promptly called back to discuss the job and set up an appointment to come look at it. 2. He arrived early to the appointment, is friendly, professional, and confident. He's to the point and all business (which I liked) and patiently answered my questions. 3. He emailed a contract detailing the work he would perform and itemized each task with a price quote. 4. The day he started the job, he again arrived early and explained what he would be doing. 5. He covered the furniture and floors with plastic and was very neat and cleaned up before starting the next phase in another room. 6. He worked without taking a break and finished the job in the time frame he quoted. 7. He presented me with an itemized receipt of the work and price for each phase of the job. We are extremely pleased with the work Butch did and would call him in the future should the need arise. He's been in business for 41 years and his knowledge and skill show what decades of experience will get you. I will gladly recommend him to friends who live within the area that Butch services. Butch worked on our home renovation as part of a team with another contractor we hired. We liked his work and also hired him to put recessed lighting throughout our home. He did a great job, was professional and his pricing was competitive. However, we are very disappointed with the lack of follow through after the initial work was done. We have minor things regarding his work that still need attention (a switch not working properly plus he promised a stand for one of our dimmer light remote controls). We also had more work that we discussed with Butch, which he agreed he was willing to do and kept promising to give us a bid. After emailing back and forth and waiting on him to come through with his bid, he stopped communication. We are confused as to why and kindly sent him an email asking that he please at least let us know if his schedule does not allow him to proceed with our project. No response after several follow-up attempts. It's really disheartening because (with doing a whole house renovation) when we think we've found a good contractor we want to continue to rely on that company. His work is great quality but the overall experience was displeasing and stressful. read more

It's sooooo tough finding a reliable handyman and unfortunately regardless of the good reviews, I can't say I found one because he never even came by to do the job he said he would. So I can't even tell you if his work is as good as others say. As another reviewer mentioned, he will commit to you and then you never hear back from him. I had a simple fix that was needed, he gave me a quote and said he would come by later in the day since it was a quick job. He never called or passed by so I called him the next day twice and left a voicemail each time. I never received a call back to at least acknowledge my calls. He could have very well been busier with a bigger job but he shouldn't have committed to fixing the issue I was having and professionally he could have just called back and said sorry but I'm not able to come for the next week if that was the case! None the less, I ended up finding a different wonderful handy man that respected my time and had great professionalism with his keeping me notified of his arrival and came by an hour later....did the job for half of what butch quoted. read more
