The old 12g, 20 amp circuit wasn't gonna get it done. We decided the easiest and most cost-effective way to do this would be to run conduit on the inside of my garage. (They would have done inside the walls, but I didn't even want to see how much that would cost) The bid came in lower than 3 others and higher than one. One guy wanted to charge $500 more, and run that saggy flex conduit along the wall in my garage. He said he wouldn't do EMT. Another guy wanted $1,000 more to do the exact same job Bright Bulbs bid. Luis and his apprentice showed up right on time, and 3 minutes later Luis was already bending conduit. There's an art to it, and Luis is the artist. TL;DR Great knowledgeable on the ground electrician with non-responsive AI like service department. Gisele (electrician) came out for free in person tech assessment. He was on time, friendly, and patient to explain the plan and provide options on how to achieve what I expected to be done. I was going to move forward after hearing the 2 options and waited for quote. Now the not-so-pretty part. Gustavo (service department) sent over 2 different options. One with the main panel upgrade of 4.4k+ and the other one with 1.1k. I was a bit confused since the assessment does not stated it was required. Sent the questions for follow up. No response at all for days. For first 2-3 days they kept sending text messages urging me to sign for the 4.4k option and ignoring my questions to clarify. Reached out to Gisele on Yelp and he was able to forward my same questions I sent to their service department days ago for follow up. Surprise, get some non-answers nonsense. Gave them one more chance to clear things up. Nothing. Gustavo the AI has move on to scam another client. Ended up finding another electrician that was able to get it done with 1k to the charging location I want and got the job done under 3 hrs. Guys don't waste your time on this one, there are better options with true professionals. This company ain't it. read more

We had two fans that needed to be installed and an outlet that had outlived the mount it was in and had sunk into the wall. Tony came out and was on time. Tony reviewed what needed to get accomplished and started to work. The main issue was that where we wanted one fan the old box was too small and wouldn't have supported a fan. He had to go into our attic to replace the electrical box. Because we have blown insulation the work was slow and dusty. Tony worked very hard and got every thing set up. Once the new box was in, the fan went right up. The second fan was easier, but had its own issues. Modern ceiling fan with two controller head units that had to be mounted in a specific way. Tony had difficulty, but worked it out without getting frustrated. The outlet was installed in a box that had to be 60 years old and was falling apart in the wall. Tony got down on his hands and knees and got working on it. Tony was able to fix the box. Tony was very friendly and worked very hard. If you are getting a Tesla charger installed at your home, Bright Bulbs is the company to use. After reaching out to multiple electric companies for estimates through Yelp, Matt at Bright Bulbs was the first to reach out and offer a free home inspection. Other companies asked for a picture of my panel. Since it seemed simpler to send pictures to the other companies, I did that first. I was told I didn't have enough space in my panel and needed to either upgrade my entire panel (for $5500+) or install a subpanel (for $1200+). Ouch! I decided to take Matt up on his offer for that free inspection. I was crossing my fingers but not super hopeful. Not only was Matt super courteous and friendly, but he went above and beyond. He checked my panel to see what was being used and what was free. He then checked my a/c and spa to see how much energy they needed. After that he computed the numbers. Matt said I had just enough space in my current panel!! That sweet and very conscientious man worked his magic and made it happen using my current panel. All I needed was a new breaker. They did a great job installing recessed lights (with dimmers) in my cathedral ceilings and a bedroom. They measured and made suggestions about placement, and made sure I was happy before they started the work. They doublechecked the types of lights I wanted, and made sure the cathedral ceiling lights were positioned properly before leaving the worksite. They also installed a chandelier which they then had to take down, since one part of the chandelier did not work (product defect, not Bright Bulbs issue). They were very conscientious about putting it all back in the box for a return. Only drawback was the drywall patching was not quite up to par (for running new electrical lines). Since I am very picky and was about to paint, I had a professional drywaller come to redo that part. But if you won't have a lot of drywall repair needed, this should not be an issue. read more
