I highly recommend Bear Electric! I hired this company to install a 240V outlet for my Tesla. On two separate phone calls, I was quoted the same price. When the technician arrived, he recommended upgrading to an EV-specific outlet, explaining it was the better choice. I appreciated the recommendation, but I was disappointed that it increased the price by $100. I felt that option should have been discussed during the initial phone calls so I could make an informed decision before the appointment. After I posted my original review, the owner personally came back to my home to make things right. He offered to refund the $100 price difference, but I declined because I didn't feel it was fair after the work had already been completed. Instead, he replaced two breakers that genuinely needed replacement at no charge. I really respect a company that stands behind its work and makes the effort to address a customer's concerns. While I still believe the pricing options should have been explained upfront, I also believe it's important to recognize excellent customer service when a business takes responsibility and follows through. Story time: Recently I had ChargePoint charger exploded, it blew out the inner and outer cover of the charger and my vehicle stopped charging without any noticed. I began go search for electrician near by me asap as I need to charge my vehicle. Scheduled with Bear and two tech showed up today. They upgraded my NEMA 6-50 to NEMA 14-50 and also found out one of my breaker is going bad. They upgraded EV plug, changed out the breaker and added a surge protector. The first time I used them they installed my ring hardwired camera. I asked them if they can change a 3-way light switch which they said it was out of code compliance which I understood. I was later told by a different electrician company that the 3-way switch can be changed but it would cost more money to have it in compliance. I recently used them again and they set up an 4 plug outlet in my garage. I also asked if they can fix my address light but they brushed that away, but did help me find the transformer for that. I put out a project using Yelp's handy tool to get competing quotes. I simply wanted to replace a smart ship that was defective with standard switches. I uploaded pictures of the current wiring and the new switch I wanted installed. Sam gave me a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to his arrival. Upon arrival they were very professional, friendly and respectful of my home. They quickly placed shoe covers on. I showed them the switch and they were done within minutes. Sam showed me that the multimeter was showing a possible bad breaker and asked if he could check the circuit breaker box.
