Enjoyable evening with delicious food and drinks. We highly recommend The Alchemist restaurant. Our server was pleasant and attentive. My drink was The Butterfly Effect and it was served in a beaker with dry ice so it looked amazing as well as refreshing. I ordered the Pulled Rib BBQ sandwich and fries while my partner ordered the steak. The steak came to the table on a lava stone still in the process of cooking on the stone. This allowed for him to cook the steak to his liking right at the table. This was fun and enjoyable. Both meals were tasty. My Pull Rib sandwich was the most flavorful and I would order it again. Loved this place! Ambiance, food, service were exceptional. Got the osso bucco, burger, and chicken teriyaki skewers. Also got the drink in the skull for two--the dry ice was gimmicky and we loved it lol. 9yo asked if his drink could smoke too, and they brought his juice like straight out of a cauldron. read more

We were recommended this place from a friend and we were not disappointed. Started with drinks and all of them tasted good. Then we had a platter to share and it was tasty with chicken, sweet potato fries, nachos and vegetables. For main we took the peeri peeri chicken and pizza. It was so much food so we couldn't eat all. But we really enjoyed the food. The service was ok, a little bit slow specially when we wanted to pay. read more

After reading excellent reviews, I decided to treat myself to a nice meal out while on vacation. The food did not disappoint. I had the lamb chops with roasted carrots, onion and beets with mashed garlic potatoes. The chops were very flavorful with just the right amount of meat to fat ratio. The veggies were roasted well. Top it off with a glass of wine. My only issue with this restaurant is the service. If not for that, it would be four and a half stars. It only gets three because it took almost two hours from sitting down to leaving, and I was alone and only ordered the wine and main course. It looked like there was only one or two servers and one bartender for the entire place, and it was full when I went around 20:00. After I requested the bill, I waited 30 minutes to get it (no exaggeration, I could tell by text message timestamps). I almost left money on the table and walked out. But I waited and finally was able to pay. I don't know if this is normal, but perhaps expect slow service if you visit during a busier dinner service. Food was A+. read more

Wow, absolutely blown away by this place. The layout and decor is very modern, and I haven't really seen anything like it before in Warsaw. There's an option to sit outside or in which is also a plus in the summer months. The menu was full of tasty options and it was exceptionally hard to choose. In the end we started with sweet potato fries, which were crunchy on the outside and tender in the middle. Very yummy. After that I had the peanut butter bacon burger and my friend had the digitally smoked chicken. Both were very, very good. I'm already excited to go back and try something else. The dishes came out looking great, and there's plenty of food in all the meals. We both left feeling very full. The cocktail list is also very impressive with with new twist on old classics. We sampled a couple of them and they were also great. Service was good, our waiter was a little odd but very pleasant and got everything right. I definitely recommend The Alchemist. We had a fantastic family dinner at the Alchemist. The food was amazing! Each dish was innovative and beautifully presented. Steaks and shrimp served on hot stone platters and the sweet potatoe fries were creamy on the inside yet still crispy. Salads where fresh and huge. Staff was attentive and very accommodating. To call this place a gastropub, the pub part needs a bit more to be desired. They have 7 beers on self serve taps, which is cool but more variety is needed. The decor is modern and the food is food. Overall, a place wouldn't mind coming back to and hanging out. read more

Very disappointed on pretty much all levels It took over an hour to get the food (if you want quick food, then order the pizza) Considering I yelped this place, it is the FIRST time that I have ever had a BAD experience from this, so I guess it was due Poor starters (avoid prawns), poor main and overall VERY poor. Amazing place in Warsaw. They have an awesome beer wall where you can get 7 beers on tap (even in Erlemeyers!). They have a system with a beer card where you pay per click, very convenient! The food was also amazing. Jerk chicken in a basket looks brilliant and tastes even better. Oreo peanut butter cheesecake as a dessert was as delicious as it sounds. Restaurant has a great ambiance and is located in a really nice area. The beer wall where you can pour your beer is a fun experience. Good selection of beer or you can choose cider or prosecco. Food is heightened pub food. Had a burger which was a little pink inside so definitely recommend asking for well done if you prefer this. Service was good. We went there 3 times, the first time it was great and would have gotten a 5 from me but the last 2 times it was deplorable. Firstly, we aren't drinkers, we go to places for the food and that's exactly what GASTROpub means. So I'm not interested in the beer or drinks nonsense, just the food and like I said first time all was good but the last 2 times the food wad dry, flavorless, not as written on the menu and just plain bad. Their prices aren't exactly cheap so they could and should do better. Nice outdoor seating (almost always windy) Even so tasteless bland food has no excuse. Beware of false reputations read more
