He even finished a day earlier than the quoted turnaround so I can make my hard deadline. Lexington painting did not sacrifice quality even with the short turn. The painting was smooth and even, and covered up the dark grey accent walls left by the previous owner. Even though it took more coats that originally quoted, Spiro did not charge me extra. Finally, the communication was excellent. Karen provided COIs and multiple SOWs quickly, and Spiro either texted or called to explain everything to ensure I was comfortable with the job. (Every other person we emailed for a quote did the same. None came to visit, and with COVID I was cool with that.) His quote was consistent with most of the other highly rated folk we reached out to for quotes. What set him apart was his clear emails with detailed pricing. It was clear that he knew painting was expensive, and people imagine doing everything at once and think of it as all-or-nothing. His pricing model showed it was some-at-a-time. (We did go all in though :) ) He was very responsive on email and answered questions from the mundane to the esoteric with patience and clarity. He came the day before the job was supposed to start to drop off supplies and map out everything that was should happen with me and his team. His team was great, polite, and professional. The speed and quality of the work was amazing. Everyone was happy to answer questions and explain what was happening. For me, the true test was with an accident that happened. I hired George after I had…read moremultiple floor to ceiling mirrored wall panels removed and needed the walls behind them repaired and painted. Because of some other renovation hiccups, I had to postpone a couple of times and George was more than accommodating and even squeezed me in last minute when I was ready to go. My building is a bit of a nightmare. And unless you use their recommendation, gives everyone contractor a crazy hard time, including sending George and his employee Dan away the first time they came. Despite this, George and Dan could not have been more flexible and nicer about it. I have not had them paint yet, as I'm waiting to have some other work completed first (will update when they are), but I am so excited for when they do because the repaired walls look so much better already!!
