I start my car and the Exact same issue was there! I went right away and they told him and his attitude changed right away! He said sorry we can't help, we were told to just install the parts" they didn't even diagnose the issue they just wanted to make a quick $500! after talking back and forth the General Manager says "you want your f***n money back or what" I then tell him since you want to be disrespectful yes! He said we'll talk Monday and walked away.   Monday comes no call, I leave 3 VM. I went Tuesday and he was very upset that I was there he said sorry the Owner left overseas and I can not refund you until 1 week. Made no sense! He then calls the COPS to my house and says he was scared for his life and Banned me from the shop. Keep in mind I've been going there for 4-5 Years and recommended them many times. I make a claim with the bank to dispute the charges and I get my refund. It is now 12/27/24 about a month later and I NOW I'm being charged $500 again the $500. I said i wasn't going to do the review but all this headache when the GM said we will issue a refund and now they are playing games. So we will be going to court to file a claim. Also i have reached out to the local news and they are looking into it.

It took about 2 hours and ran me about $200~ but saved me what would've been thousands in damages. The man at his desk (Larry) who I believe was the one who did the maintenance check was very nice to us even though we were almost half an hour late to our appointment initially, I was extremely apologetic and he didn't seem to mind at all.(again, very sorry about that) They even spoke to my family and recommended a dealership for us to try (didn't seem like a money grab, wasn't on a business card they wrote it on the back of a blank piece of paper in pen) so hopefully my car hunting goes better....

Since then, we have taken multiple vehicles in, for everything from basic oil changes to suspension replacements. An anecdote: there was one time one of my control arms broke while driving and I had my car towed there. They looked into the issue, and Chris called me to let me know that Nissan would probably cover this under warranty, because there had been what was almost a recall, but you had to actually experience the problem first (they wouldn't replace them preventively). I didn't know about this, and they could have just diagnosed the issue and done the repair themselves, and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, they saved me hundreds of dollars. Their work has always been reasonably priced and completed to our satisfaction. I'm glad that Aaron, who had been operating as the main mechanic as it was, purchased the business and is continuing on as Syverson Automotive. I also really like the small shop feel -- if there's a question on the work done or recommended to be done, he's right there and you can actually talk to him. The only negative: it can take a bit to get in sometimes, so give them a call a couple weeks before you might want to be scheduled, if you can.

Bobby's prices were so reasonable that I could afford to upgrade to longer-lasting ceramic pads - nice! He also got the van up on the alignment machine, and within a few minutes readjusted the alignment, including the steering wheel that was off-kilter and driving me absolutely nuts. I always ask and beg them to "fix everything you touch" but they always reply "don't fix what's not broke". Can't know if it's the right path but maybe it saves a lot of money. I've spent a ton there but never got sold blinker fluid or similar scams. Wait times can extend to a week sometimes. They'll give a ride nearby if you're not a jerk.

After asking friends and neighbors with no luck I turned to Yelp and saw the great reviews for Monona Motors. I had seen this place dozens of times on walks and bike rides - it is just a mile away so I thought I would give them a try. It is a tiny place so it is hard to get into but I was not in a rush - two weeks out was OK. Greg and the guys were really friendly and straightforward in helping to figure out what was wrong. They only fixed what was wrong and did so in a cost effective way. They also discovered a very rusted out part that needed replacing in order to replace a rocker arm (I saw the old one - wow I am lucky it didn't fall apart). They tried getting the part from Nissan but due to pandemic supply chain issues it was not available but they found one from the South on Ebay for a quarter of the price of new. It was in great shape (no salt used down there). I like their initiative in trying Ebay for the part. I brought the car back for this additional work. It was done quickly and for the price quoted. So far so good with both the brake job and the front end work - and I am sure I saved a ton of $ going to these guys. I am glad I found them on Yelp!
