They certainly had not caused those issues, but it would have been helpull to know. They cost me time from work and money besides. He never let me finish a sentence and was frustrated when he couldnt get the story straight. Every question he asked was biting and condescending, where if he let me finish and listened he would have had the answers. When he finally got a better picture of the issue he responded with 'I have a hard time believing that.' He went from 'thats not possible' to 'if we had done that' to 'this is what we do when that happens'. It turned into one of the situations where he said too much because he thought I didn't understand what he was saying. Looking at Google and the description-its an absolute lie. All of the part stores in the area know me. By name. And Ive taught the young bucks behind the counter a thing or two. I am smart enough to ask about the things that I don't know and I know how to ask nicely. He'd begrudgingly told me to make it in by 7:15 am to fit me in. Didnt offer the work for free (removing the leaking oil drain plug that they didnt use a crush washer with and is not coming out), didnt go into what could may be done to fix it and what they can offer for any price. I know how to fix it, his customer services was the worst Ive experienced in a long time.

Due to the subframe, they recommended I have no further work done on the vehicle, and that I stop driving the car immediately. They literally said, "Do not put another dime into this car. After asking friends and neighbors with no luck I turned to Yelp and saw the great reviews for Monona Motors. I had seen this place dozens of times on walks and bike rides - it is just a mile away so I thought I would give them a try. It is a tiny place so it is hard to get into but I was not in a rush - two weeks out was OK. Greg and the guys were really friendly and straightforward in helping to figure out what was wrong. They only fixed what was wrong and did so in a cost effective way. They also discovered a very rusted out part that needed replacing in order to replace a rocker arm (I saw the old one - wow I am lucky it didn't fall apart). They tried getting the part from Nissan but due to pandemic supply chain issues it was not available but they found one from the South on Ebay for a quarter of the price of new. It was in great shape (no salt used down there). I like their initiative in trying Ebay for the part. I brought the car back for this additional work. It was done quickly and for the price quoted. So far so good with both the brake job and the front end work - and I am sure I saved a ton of $ going to these guys. I am glad I found them on Yelp!
