Called Butch after my ac went out Yesterday. Came out the today and did a fantastic job. I am one of those people that like to watch and ask a lot of questions and I know that can be irritating. Butch took his time to explain everything and even showed me where the ac was leaking from and was very helpful in me understanding what was going on. They used to be my go to. The older couple sold the business to a couple of money hungry guys. Now, the people who own the business are just like every other stereotype of the mechanic you DON'T want: They charge an arm and a leg for everything and you can't trust them. It took three visits over the course of a month for them to fix my door handle and they charged me for the time it took them to correct their mistakes (that had nothing to do with me). By the way, the door handle is NOT actually fixed. Also, they put my tires on wrong. I took my car back for them to fix it and had a flat tire later that day. Exhausting. Never going back. read more

1st time going to this shop , My father used to take his car and truck to this auto repair shop all the time and had the same thing happen to his vehicles. Small dents and scratches. But never anything like what happen to my WRX STI. I washed my car the night before I broke down and would have see this . They had cameras .But It's Best not to leave your car over night things happen when it's left out.. This looks more like damage from when someone may have hit me when my car was parked but the Front right side bumper , side panel and tire .. It's almost like the Mechanic working on the car may have hit something. They cut 100 $ off the repairs. But this may cost more to fix . read more

I went in on a Saturday morning at 10 AM called them at 8 AM. They got me in that same day put my truck up on a test drive and the mechanic immediately found the issue, very knowledgeable. It was a upper control arm bushing that another dealership never tightened and try to sell me on the lower control arm bushings which was not needed. I cannot recommend them high enough On being honest and having integrity for a mechanic is priceless nowadays. Great job I will be a customer for a long time because first impressions make a difference! Roger was one of the nicest and easygoing mechanics who really knows what he is doing! Butch's Auto is the most HONEST, KNOWLEDGABLE, and fairly priced Auto Repair I have EVER been to! I have been a loyal customer of Butch's Auto for 10 years. Before finding them, I had been through sooo many mechanics that over-charged - and that I could NOT trust. I can honestly say that I totally trust Butch's Auto....I drive out of my way from Clearwater because they are totally worth the drive. On one occassion, my car was giving me trouble, and I thought for sure it would cost me big $$....but, Butch informed me that it was a simple fix and he did NOT EVEN CHARGE me!!! When I told his wife Sharon how amazed I was - she said "We answer to a Higher Power" Praise GOD! When I went searching for a new used car, I made sure to have Butch look at the vehicle before buying - He went over everything with a fine-tooth comb. And was instrumental in helping me find a GOOD RELIABLE car! Now, I don't even bother going to the 'cheap' places to get my oil changed. You know...the places that tell you that you need to get a 'what-ever-flush' because your car is in serious trouble if you don't?! Service wasn't bad, but this guy is so outrageous. He just replace a coil ( ONE ) replace all the spark plugs and I had to pay 500.00 ... 100.00 just for connect the computer to my car, 200.00 parts and 200.00 labor for a job that my mechanic do for 100.00 plus parts ( 65.00 ) and included 4 coils and a set of Spark plugs ) ... I DON NOT RECOMMEND and honest mechanic that steal my money on my face. read more

Great people with reasonable prices. Took my truck the other day to replace a freeze plug, immediately they took it back took a look and gave me the estimate. I called Butch's for an estimate on getting a belt replaced. They said I could come in and they would take a look to make sure we know exactly what's going on. They actually showed me all 3 belts on my car, and I could easily see how worn down they were. I was worried that it would be very pricey to replace them, as all the other estimates I had gotten for just one belt were well over $300. They charged less than $200 for all 3, AND topped off my power steering fluid at no extra cost. They discussed a couple things with me, but there was no pressure at all to do any further work. They understood that I don't want to put a whole lot of money into my 17 year old car, and actually encouraged me to keep it that way. But they wanted me to know what was going on, so I had all the information and I knew what was most important to keep the car at least running, and what wasn't so critical. Any other place I've gone to, they have tried to pressure me into doing so many things, charging not only for parts but extra charges for labor, too. Butch's didn't charge extra labor for doing 3 belts. This was my first time going here, but I know I will be back! The people are very friendly, and I'm so grateful that they did only what I asked without even trying to pressure me into doing more. I recommend Butch's to everyone! read more
