I moved to Fort Myers FL in July 2021 and hired Kevin Kobie to inspect my AC unit prior to closing…read moreon my home. Kevin recommended I replace the pan under the unit because there was an old stain on the ceiling under the unit on the drywall, (no leaking water was noticed at that time). I took his professional advice and hired him to replace the pan. Since then I have had two active leaks that stained the ceiling and damaged the drywall under the inside unit. I stayed with his company until I was informed, he retired and his son took over 2025 and I have had Cool RX come out to service the AC unit as recommended. in Feb 2026 my unit shut off and there was a new active stain on the drywall ceiling and called Cool RX to come out, they did and got the unit running. They recommended I replace or rebuild the condenser to stop the water leaking out. I waited to have anything done due to an unforeseen medical issue requiring traveling to Boston to have surgery and was laid up in MA for three (may 2026) months (first time being away from the FL home). I returned in August 2026 to find another active leak and the unit off. I called Cool Rx and the son kevin came out the same day and got the unit running, we again discussed replacing the Condenser or the whole AC Unit completely. When I asked his opinion on why it keeps leaking he said the pan under the unit was to small and thats why its leaking out. I said "so your saying your father Kevin who installed the pan in 2021 caused this leaking water damage to my ceiling?" He must have not been unaware his father did the original work because he was stopped talking right there. So now I'm going to get a couple different opinions from other AC Companies to see what they think. I'm not upset with the son.

Matt the manager told tech to to get 2 filters. Tech came back with wrong filter. Matt said he would contact me with a time and day to replace filter. Week later never heard back. ***I picked this company bc they were a small family business. I feel they were NOT transparent in letting me know they were in the process of selling and merging w a large company. I should've been given that info to make a more informed decision as who I would go with for a new AC. If I knew they were considering a merge I DEFINITELY would have gone with a different company for a new AC!!

Up until the hurricane happened, I was satisfied with all of your work. After I got power in my house, I discovered that a mini split was not blowing the cold air where my 83-year-old mother was staying. The room was very muggy and hot. Some type of object ran into the unit and damaged the coil in the outside unit, so all freon licked out from the outside unit. I called your company and I got Dorothy. She set up a technician to come out. A technician came to my house the next day and told me I needed some type of coil and there was no ETA that could be obtained by your company. After a while, your phones started working in your office but there was no Internet yet, I was told by Whitney. So, almost 3 weeks after the hurricane, we still did not have air in that part of the house. I called your company again and Whitney told me it's a discontinued item and she has no idea when it can be found or found at all at this point. Then I asked for a new outside unit to buy, but I never got a definite answer from Whitney on the new unit to install. She was talking very fast and nervously constantly, interpreting my every word, and telling me the phones were ringing off the hook and she is very busy, and I had a hard time understanding what she was talking about. I just asked her to speak a little slower so I could understand her with a little joke (I can not think that fast, LOL ) I think Whitney did not take my remark that well. She hangs up the phone. It left me in the dark. Next day, I called another air conditioning company, and the technician came the same day. Within one hour of work, he welded the pipe that had a leak, it was ugly but it was fixed. I was so upset that the company I used for all my 3 houses' services and repairs, in addition to all the referrals to my friends. The next day, I called your office and Whitney answered the phone. I just asked her why your technician could not weld the pipe 2 weeks ago as the other technician did. She told me that your company does not do repairs, only change parts for safety reasons. I was not rude or upsetting her of any kind, but for some reason, she was not nice at all and told me she could not help me at this point and hung up the phone. ( The reason for my last call was that I was going to ask if you guys could get me a new outside unit). A few days later Dorothy called me to tell me that I should take my business somewhere else.
