I Got my inspection here, fixed what they said needed fixed (my rear brakes and rotors) and they told me to come back the next day and they'll throw on the sticker. I come back the next day, waited 30 mins and they said it's all set and ready- that was 2 months and 15-16 days ago. I get pulled over yesterday, the cop tells me that my inspection sticker is out of date. He recommended me go to back to butler tires and confront them about it and get my sticker. I did, I told them exactly what happened and how they never put the sticker on, they tried looking for the file of my name (couldn't find it) they try looking up my plate (couldn't find it) then they told me that they don't keep inspection files past 2 months. (In Pennsylvania, im pretty sure it's illegal for an official state inspection station to discard state inspection files after only two months, they were pulling a fast one on me) I did like this place at first, they seemed nice and professional, bought tires here too but after this I'm never getting it serviced here again. I think they took advantage of me because I'm young. It's disappointing and disheartening to see. I wish the best for the business but man it's a shame. read more

In December 2025 I was in a jam and needed my new snow tires mounted on my wheels. Butler Tires for Less agreed to mount and spin the four tires and remove my summer tires and wheels. In the process all four wheels for the snow tires were scuffed and slightly damaged. At the time, I didn't consider it bad enough to post a comment but did contact the service manager to mention the issue. He was apologetic and even offered to "fix" the damage but I did not accept the offer since it was only cosmetic damage. Fast forward to yesterday April 12, 2026. I wanted to remove the snow tires/wheels and install the summer tires/wheels on the vehicle. The lug nuts are supposed to be torqued to 100 ft -lbs but most of the lug nuts were so difficult to remove that I had to use a breaker bar on them. This was on a Sunday or I would have taken the car to Butler Tires for Less and have them swap the tires/wheels. Now I have concern that my rotors may be warped. Obviously, I won't be going back to this business. On April 15, 2026 in response to Tony K's request, I provided my contact information. It is now April 26 and, so far, no reply from Tony so i will consider this matter closed. read more

Since they don't take appointments for oil changes they told me to come before 8 to get serviced as fast as possible. Nonetheless it still took 2 hours to perform said oil change and they charged double what I pay in NJ. I'm just not not sure what all the hype is about. read more

I have been a faithful customer for more than 30 years . Very recently I returned due to concerns of two tires I purchased 6 months ago. One was almost completely bald. I was told it was due to Mechanical reasons and insisted I obtain two more tires for safety reasons . I did with cash . He took $20 off because he said he probably could turn the old ones into the manufacturer for defaults . I didn't think until later that you only gave me $20 off when you'll probably get the full reimbursement! Wait, it gets better . After the tires were installed, the guy that put them on asked me to step outside . He told me not to say anything to them, but they put winter tires on instead of all seasons but said that they look like all seasons but I would not want to run them in the summer . He continued to tell me that he had two tires he got from some other vehicle and could sell them to me for $60 that way I could have them put on in the summer . Are you kidding me! I will be approaching the owner today! I can't believe that they would put two winter tires on without telling me . I'm in the process of selling that vehicle this year and I would have been screwed not knowing those two tires are winter tires and would have to turn around and buy two regular tires . And he gave me a lousy $20 off ! I am so disappointed in this business ethics because Butler Tires For Less have always been a staple in this County and I wouldn't refer my worst enemy there now read more

I will not be getting my car inspected at this company anymore. I recently took my car in for an inspection. I own a handicap van and I have had it there before, with only little issues. This time when I took it in, it took them over a day to inspect and when they called me to tell me the problems they quoted me a price and I said to go ahead with the repairs. That was on Friday. On Monday they called me and said that they messed up and found that a coil, that had not been seen on the first inspection (why I don't know. They must not have eyes to see such things). BUT, they could not fix this problem and would refer me to another auto repair place to get it done. SO, in summation, they fixed some of the problems, then decided to find another problem, charge me for the inspection (even though it was not completed), not fix the new problem, but sold me a part to go get it fixed somewhere else. This place is a bunch of crooks! If I had known that they couldn't fix all the problems I would have not had them fix it and took it somewhere else and not give you the money. I feel like I was stolen from just to make a buck. I supposedly have a 2 year warranty on my brakes and rotors, but I can tell you I would rather pay someone else to fix it then to take it back there to get it looked at. I have referred you many times, but will not do that anymore. read more

I've done business with this company for more than 2 decades. I now refuse to spend another penny here and I will tell you why. They have decent tires at a decent price, however, their service center is FAR LESS THAN DESIRABLE. I spent approx $1600 there on my suspension and brakes for inspection of 2020. The $1600 does NOT include tires- INSPECTION ONLY. Since then, less than 20,000 miles & 18months passed, I have replaced both control arms and a ball joint that they "replaced" and charged me for.... I have all of the receipts to prove it. My "e-brake" was repaired/replaced in 2020 for inspection and just a month and 1/2 ago it literally fell into my tire and locked up my back tire costing me an additional $260+ to fix again ($180 in 2020) not 18 months later. Find out last week that this $260 repair was a load of crap and my e-brake is 100% useless and DOESN'T even WORK AT ALL..that's after being replaced/repaired TWICE by the same garage. I've never had to replace an e-brake on a vehicle - much less twice- and never by any friends or colleagues twice in the same 18 months. IF THEY'RE ACTUALLY even doing the work they are charging me for, then that means they're putting utter garbage on my vehicle. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE at any cost. Rotation and rebalancing is free, throughout the life of the tires, how awesome is that. Been loyal customers for years, Sadly I had a big issue today with a moron on the phone ( not any of the regulars/ owner.. of that I am certain) he was rude when I questioned his quote , because it was vastly different from what I was told Friday. When I asked to speak with someone in charge , or the boss. i was then berated & hung up on. Obviously, when the price per tire more than doubles , It causes someone to question it.. As of before closing on Friday they had many in stock, So this jerk was trying to pull a fast one, why? The staff was polite but incompetent. I bought four brand new tires in February and one was going flat by April. I took it back and they said they could not find a leak but they cleaned the bead and replaced the valve. The tire was still going flat. I took it back and they said it was the light sensor and forced the light off. It was still going flat. I took it to the dealership who promptly found a nail in the tire. They didn't have my tires in stock so I went to Walmart. Guess what? The new valve was leaking in addition to the nail. I will now ALWAYS go to Walmart as they have a $10 road hazard insurance that guarantees replacement of your tire if this happens. Butler tire doesn't offer this. read more

Local tire shop, carrying Firestone, Uniroyal, Michelin, and other brands manufactured by them (e.g., Riken). The prices are pretty good, and the older folks who work there are friendly and helpful, but the shop monkeys are morons. Despite being asked politely to hand-torque lug nuts (and being told what the torque spec is), the monkeys immediately reach for the air impact wrench and torque the snot out of your lug nuts. In addition to being bad for aluminum wheels (you can distort the seating surface for the lug nuts and/or warp the wheel and then it's ruined), these monkeys cross-threaded three of my wife's lug nuts and broke two studs. When she brought it back for them to fix it, the monkey on duty immediately reached for ... (drum roll) ... an air impact wrench and overtorqued the lug nuts on the replacement studs. Yeah, time is money, but a few seconds extra per lug nut to use an air ratchet instead of an impact wrench, and then a torque wrench to finish the job, buys customer satisfaction. Charge an extra five bucks for the job to make up the time difference. Recommendation: shop them for tires at good prices, but use a second vehicle to bring your wheels to them, and then mount the wheels and torque them yourself. read more

This place is great! Lowest prices around for good name-brand tires. Time-wise, it was totally worth it to drive from Pittsburgh to Butler to get my tires; I believe I was back home with my new tires faster than if I had gone to my local Pep-boys (based on past experience.) Butler Tires for Less does not take appointments (but you can call to check inventory and price for the tires you want); you just show up, go to the desk and give them your keys and tell them what you need, then have a seat. I barely had time to watch a bit of a daytime talk show on the tv in the waiting area and enjoy my complimentary coffee before my car was ready. I have bought tires their for several years and only heard one bad thing about them one of the workers is not to be trusted ,stories about people having spare tires and many items in their car stolen,i have dealt with them because of their prices and i knew the problem worker and always avoided him,he will sometimes approach you when you arrive and try to sell you tires without you going inside all under the table don't go for it he did finally get me,it doesn't do any good to complain about him he is the brother of the owner. read more

These guys are great. Honest and great prices. You do not have to ask for rebates. They inform you of rebates. Today, I had a screw in a tire and I went in and they took care of me. On one occasion they suggested a less expensive tire (the same brand on my vehicle) over a more expensive tire. Friendly from the minute you walk in until you leave. read more

This place deserves simply 0 stars! If you feel like paying $40-$140 PER TIRE more than ANY Walmart across the U.S. then get your tires here! So I called to get a price quote on 4 tires and they began to tell me the cheapest they could get the tires for themselves was for $130 a tire and was getting me a sweet deal. I was somewhat ignorant at the time but proceeded give the exact tires a price check at Walmart who was charging only $87 for the EXACT SAME TIRE.( This was under no sale or discount straight from the manufacturer through Walmart) Therefore I bought them at Walmart, cool! After a few days when Walmart shipped them for store pick up they were busy so I figured I would get them simply mounted at another location. I loaded up my tires into my vehicle, drove to BUTLER TIRES FOR LESS and after a couple of hours I was they were done. They installed my mounted my tires for $151.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I paid them this much for unscrewing 20 lug bolts and mounting 4 tires. Do yourself a favor and go to Walmart, you will save a lot of money... read more
