I can't really explain how they make this magic happen but they do! Amber and her team are organized, have a flow to the wedding night, and throw an amazing party. Timothy and I were completely floored by how well everyone (especially us) were taken care of and had no idea a wedding (much less our own) would be this extra super special. Low stress doesn't even begin to describe the evening! We didn't worry about a thing! Difficult family member? No problem, Amber's got Texas charm and stellar boundary-setting skills. Feeling overwhelmed? Take a load off with the private dinner for just the two of you-- to get some romantic quiet in an evening of festivities. There's honestly nothing these folks haven't thought of! They run like a well-oiled machine. Butler's Courtyard and their team of vendors are truly setting a high bar for this industry. Each one of their vendors works seamlessly in with the Butler's Courtyard team. Somebody needs to do a case-study on just how they are pulling off this kind of smooth-as-butter integration. So, ok sold on the team! But wait-- this venue! Historic, beautiful, breath-taking. Decor is elegant and artfully placed. The space was perfect for our 75 person wedding reception and we so enjoyed getting to explore the Rose Cottage, The Shop and other nooks and crannies in this place. Houston is such a new and developing city-- we don't have many treasures like this historic bank (with a vault) that oozes with charm and majesty. Ok, still not sold? Let's talk about all-inclusive. This venue does it all and if they don't, they have a partner that will do it and do it better than anyone else in the industry. Shout out to our florist Rene from Lush Flowers (truly unbelievable the kind of vision and artistry these experts have), photographer Jessica from Eventsmith (organized, calm, fun to be around and skillfully captured every single magic moment throughout the whole night), DJ Mark (who played all of our favorites and created the perfect environment for us), and Cool Cow (which was a huge hit! Who doesn't want all-night ice cream?). During the planning process, Amber patiently listened to our ideas for what this reception could be, provided guidance for two engineers who had no idea of what wedding planning consisted of, and on the day of-- captured our personalities and created the most magical night of our lives. I am not a person pre-occupied with weddings, wedding-planning, or party-planning of any sort but I am completely obsessed with the magic being created at Butler's Courtyard. For two people who got married in the middle of a global pandemic (July 2020) in a backyard in the rain-- this 'two-years-long-awaited' wedding reception was more than we could have ever hoped or dreamed it would be. Wow! We have spent the last few days reminiscing on how special our weekend was. We are so thankful we chose Butler's courtyard for our wedding. They take care of everything. They have the absolute best vendors who are so easy to work with! We have received so many compliments on awesome the venue was from our guests. But honestly the guests don't know the half of it. Amber and her team did the most beautiful job on our business event last week. The venue is gorgeous and the food was impeccable. They even put our logo on the cupcakes! Every single one of my (many) questions was answered quickly and thoroughly and as I was arranging the event from out of town, I just couldn't have pulled it off without their consummate professionalism. Amber and her team took care of EVERYTHING! This was the first and last venue we visited and were immediately sold on two major items: we were able to have both the ceremony and the reception there (and not two separate places); AND on the day-of the wedding, the entire wedding party was able to gather there to get ready starting at 10:00 a.m.: the girls at the Rose Cottage and the guys at The Shop. It was the most relaxing atmosphere in the midst of a very busy day. Amber's team handled the decorations, set-up, lighting, and all while making sure we were comfortable and stress-free while getting ready. (They even make sure the Bride and Groom are fed at a private dinner before the reception!) Their communication in the months prior (and even after) our wedding was impeccable as well. Someone was always availble to answer any questions or concerns we had either in person, or by text/phone call. And the fact that they have vendors who work with them and are familiar with the property/venue made it even easier to plan for our big day. I hear other brides' accounts of how they had to get ready over here and then haul everything there and then move everything again to the reception, and it makes me even more grateful for how professionally and efficiently Amber and her team took care of everything. I could have never in my wildest dreams imagined a more perfect wedding. I am so glad we chose Butler's Courtyard. To be honest though, after seeing over 10 venues, making our choice was the easiest decision we've ever made. Amber is the owner, along with her sister, and also a coordinator. She was absolutely amazing. She answered all my questions, calls, and texts nearly immediately from the time I chose the venue, all the up to even after the wedding. She treated me like a princess and was so helpful throughout the whole experience. Amber is one of the greatest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. The staff was phenomenal, extremely hard working, and so sweet and helpful. The venue is insanely gorgeous! There are multiple different ceremony and reception options and more than enough perfect backgrounds for photos all throughout the property. The whole staff did such a wonderful job keeping everything extremely clean and sanitary, especially during the current pandemic. My husband and I don't have a single complaint. I had the pleasure of attending The Victorian Fashion Show and Tea at Butler's Courtyard. What a beautiful place. From the moment you walk in you feel the charm of the place. We were greeted by beautiful ladies dressed in period costume, then everyone received complimentary photos next to the Christmas Tree. The photographer was amazing, show how was able to capture the experience perfectly. The tables were themed by the historical homes of League City, I had the pleasure of seating at one of the best decorated tables, with the tea cups plates, and the most beautiful teapot I have every seen. No detail was left to chance. The service of the staff, was absolutely amazing. They moved silently and effectively, while we watching the Victorian Fashion Show with no less than 25 fashion changes. I went to a wedding at butlers courtyard 15 years ago, and I knew then it was a magical place. I sat in the gazebo area, and the open sky coupled with string lights and greenery completely blew me away. It doesn't take much to make Butler's beautiful, which is one of the best things about it. The antiquated building and details speak for themselves. Of course, when it came time for my wedding, I had to go for Butler's. From the very beginning, every step of the process was easy, fun, and pleasant. I'm in a same sex relationship, and of course me and my (then) fiancé were nervous about running into judgment, especially because Butler's is a Christian establishment. It turns out Butler's practices true Christ like behavior- they don't judge, they accept and love everyone. Even when we changed our minds 100 times about various details . Me and my wife are so so SO fortunate that Lindsey (LT) was our coordinator. Not only did she make the process easy and fun, but she got excited WITH us. She never got impatient, and even though she was working on several other weddings while planning ours, we always felt like the only wedding she was planning was ours. She is probably the sweetest human ever, I highly recommend her! Honestly we loved the entire staff at Butler's. Any criticisms I had are overshadowed by the magic that was created for us. Highly Recommend!!! My daughter and son-in-law chose this hidden treasure for their wedding reception venue. Such a beautiful venue and we couldn't have been happier with the service! Amber was a fabulous coordinator! A big selling point for us was that this venue includes the DJ, the Bridal Cake and a dinner selection, along with all the service such as linens, set up and clean up. Their recommended vendors did an amazing job, including our choices: the fabulous DJ (MCDJ), the beautiful and delicious Cake (Cakes by Jula), and delicious meal (Robinette & Co. Catering). They also recommended a fabulous florist (Lush) not included in venue pricing. Amber had all the resources on hand we needed to plan the reception. And I love how Lindsey would step in to help, too! On the big day, they had everything perfectly orchestrated. Amber and her team made sure things were just as my daughter and son-in-law had wished and requested, and it went so smoothly. Another selling point is that Butler's Courtyard provides the Bride and Groom each with their own small house on the premises to enjoy with their attendants for the day while preparing for the wedding. My daughter, son-in-law, the bridal party and parents were so well tended to the entire day of the event, as were all of our guests at the reception. Everyone had such a great time. No one wanted the evening to end! I had my wedding here a few weeks ago, and it was an amazing experience. This is an all-inclusive venue, meaning they provide everything with the exception of the photographer, minister, and groom's cake. They took so much stress off my mother and I. I am not sure how brides plan everything themselves with all the other things you have to worry about. If you are someone who wants many things taken off your checklist, this is your venue. It is located in a historic bank building and is decorated beautifully. The staff go above and beyond to make sure that your day is perfect. Any problems that occurred I was not made privy to until after the wedding was over, taking any stress away from me. I was Looking for a place to have that elegant shower and no one ever called me and no one even cared to take the booking. We ended up having the Ashton villa and Menard mansion in Galveston, Texas which was a much better choice in the end. And my caterer Bob was the most fabulous ever, I would not have been allowed to use him at Butler's. The Butler's, when I called them they even hung up on me at one point told they don't do showers then later told they do, confusing ? Also I sent emails about a shower that were completely unanswered. On the good side the courtyard which is a old bank building and nearby three houses with gazebo outside in what they call the courtyard it has a very nice ambience about it and I love the chandeliers antique brick floors and guest cottages all decorated in wedding style. I love the rose Cottage, and the Cowboy's dressing room. They have catering and have a bartender for drinks and bring your own bottle events. There is a gazebo for outdoor ceremonies and a dance floor and DJ. Lace, candles, elegance... and friendly service. It's a,one stop shop for weddings but sadly you can only use their preferred vendors. However it's small inside and not recommended for large weddings, and parking is a problem. Small weddings or events work fine we used them for our old employee end of year Christmas parties but we found other vendors. read more

This is a quaint wedding venue. We were here for a friend's wedding and had a very nice time. I'm giving 4 stars primarily because of the atmosphere. The food wasn't exceptional, and there were plenty of mosquitos to keep you jumping. But the facilities were really pretty and an excellent wedding area for outdoor ceremony. I attended a wedding here today. It's a nice place with attentive staff. There is both an indoor and outdoor area that are nice but kind of small. A good place for a smaller wedding, especially if you want to be in League Ciry as it has the typical wedding feel with our having to go far from home. However, it didn't seem much better than other wedding venues I've been to recently and it would be difficult to have a big wedding here. read more

Butlers Courtyard was amazing. We got married on July 7th 2019. Sarah was our coordinator and was so amazing and nice from day one. You get so many included things when going with butlers such as the food (which was amazing), the cake (also amazing), the dj, and some decor. The venue itself is amazingly beautiful and you do not need much decor. We only used a few wood slices and lanterns they had. The team was so prepared and handled everything from start to finish. We did not have to worry about anything! If i could redo it all I would do it again with Butlers courtyard and Sarah Craig. read more

We just had our amazing wedding here. Butler's makes it very simple. It's a one stop shop (besides your photographer and flowers). Sarah was our coordinator. She was so good at keeping everything organized, following up on everything we needed, and making the big day run smooth sailing, even though the weather was terrible you would never know! We chose fajitas and they were delicious. Cakes by Jula made our awesome cake. It was beautiful and tasted so good. Mark was our dj and he really made the night fun. Every employee radiates the kindness and joy of the owner. Their goal is for the bridal party to be relaxed, comfortable, and make beautiful memories. Our personal assistant assigned to help us with details of the day, Meagan, was remarkable! She went into Butler's garden and cut fresh roses for the table and helped carry all of our things into the Rose Cottage. No need was too small or great to ask. From a bandaid for the flower girl's new shoes to moving the wedding indoors due to rain, they were on it! It's such a personal experience. The Rose Cottage is beautiful and accommodating. It begins to feel like home and you settle in for the last day with your daughter before she's married. I could keep going. Our family highly recommends Butler's Courtyard. If you would love a worry-free wedding then Butler's Courtyard is the place. Absolutely EVERYTHING was handled by the owner's and staff flawlessly and with exemplary professionalism. Guests were taken care of the minute they arrived by security to advise with parking, seating, restroom facilities, etc. The facilities were amazing from the bride and groom's preparation areas, the entrance area, the bar, the ceremony area, the DJ, and the grounds. The grounds were beautiful and an excellent place for pictures. Every issue, large and small as attended to immediately by the closest staff member. At the conclusion the staff took care of everything from cleanup to loading gifts in the vehicle. Many of the guests commented on how well organized and smooth everything went. I had my wedding here on June 2nd 2013! I loved this venue so much and their staff is sooo amazing. They were prepared from the moment I drove up on my wedding day and catered to all of our wedding needs. If I could go back and do it all over I would! It's all inclusive- major plus! Me and the wifey were married in here and I must say they have a wedding down to a science. Our coordinator was awesome. The made us feel very welcomed and the best this about this is that most of all the duties involved with a wedding were taken care of by Janice our wonderful coordinator. The guys got to hang out a the Shop which is an awesome man cave before the wedding and pictures and all that. We got to play Foosball and they have a radio, huge big screen, a shower and a bedroom just in case your tired..The place it self is gorgeous, with all the natural beauty their is not much to decorate but you have the option is needed.I would highly recommend this location on the wonderful path of marriage so my wife say lol. We attended a wedding here last night. It was outdoors in a well landscaped courtyard, surprisingly comfortable despite the 90 degree heat due to outdoor evaporative coolers blowing over attendees. The wedding planner staff was attentive and professional. The indoor / outdoor facility was dressy yet comfortable for the reception and dance. Outdoor microphones need improvement, though. We could barely hear the vows and what we could hear was muffled. This was a wonderfully unstuffy place to get married--elegant yet casual enough for everyone to want to stay for the celebration afterward. read more

It's a beautiful venue but very unprofessional staff and owners. It was raining so my wedding was moved in doors. I was getting hair and make up so I trusted Morgan (wedding coordinator) was handling things inside. Well she did away with my $350 worth of decor for the gazebo stating there just isn't room for it inside anywhere. Ok well that was my decision to make I paid for it we will find somewhere for it to go!!! When I expressed my frustration with nancy the owner I was told "my staff worked a 12 hour day for you, you should be more grateful". I would have never written a bad review if she didn't make that comment. She was very disrespectful to me. Of course my wedding is over she has my $15k in the bank what does she care anymore. In other reviews everyone states how she's at their wedding. Well I have yet to meet her. And btw your staff did not work a 12 hour day. Many came in the morning and told me bye before they left for the day and then introduced me to the staffer who has come in to take their place. Jason did have full control over my flowers. He was given a budget and I let him do whatever in my budget and color scheme. I'm not the crazy bride that wants everything just so, but it was a rainy day my vision was already ruined by that and then Morgan just sends the delivery driver back to the store with my gazebo decor. Who does that!!! All I cared about was the wedding ceremony. I didn't even care about the reception. In fact Mark picked all the music himself. We've recommended and had friends use all of our vendors except yours and we won't because nancy didn't even try to make it right. She just immediately went on the defensive. read more

Do not be taken in by the beautiful surroundings....I recently had a wedding here and thought that the entire experience was awful. The management was rude, directing the show via loud speaker, armed security guards intimidating guests, strict rules on drinking and I was even threatened when I mentioned that I would write an ill review online. Specific things that I found innappropriate, rushing people out of the Bachelors Pad because another wedding was coming tomorrow, use of a loud speaker to find a "lost guest", over exerting force on guests who questioned the bartender, security guards with guns walking through the wedding, security guards taking pictures of guests/myself. In general, the management was totalitarian and rude (maybe it is due to the type of weddings that are thrown there?), the general manager was inappropriately dressed, and quite frankly is not really the best customer facing person (I have had better service from a bouncer at a bar). The coordinator also took liberty by making a speech at the wedding that I just thought was off putting and not necessary. The coordinator also made decisions that were not discussed/approved by us that I felt we should have had the right to know about. Just felt that it was not about OUR special day, it was more about them allowing us to be on their property and frankly when paying good money on an event, I should call all the shots. read more
