My fiance and I were looking for a place to have our wedding. We originally were suppose to get married in Eureka Springs Arkansas but Covid 19 changed all that. Of course I had no back up plan at all. We search around a few different places and found nothing. My now husband loves Galveston Texas so we decided to look for a place there. We stumbled on a Gem called The Galveston Wedding Chapel located at 715 Broadway. The owner Nathan is amazing. He took care of everything. We were suppose to get married last week but the tropical Storm Beta was in the area so we had to reschedule for this week. Once we arrived he had everything ready to go. We had to meet with the minister, Reverend Al before the ceremony to decide what kind of ceremony we wanted. Once we decided on that We made the decision to get married outside in the Gazebo area, we began taking pictures. Once the Gazebo area was shaded enough our ceremony began. It was absolutely beautiful. My wedding experience today was amazing, I'm so glad we decided to have our wedding at The Galveston Wedding Chapel. Thank you for everything. read more

Nathan made everything so simple and smooth. I called for availability on the same day, they had an appointment that afternoon. My fiancé and I got there earlier than the scheduled time, we met with the Minster. Everything was done in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend! read more

We were turned away after answering the question "will this be a same sex wedding?" Yes. Then we were told "we don't have a minister willing to marry same sex, sorry it's a Christian state." Here in Texas we don't have to marry same sex. read more

I am very angry at how the Galveston Wedding Chapel runs their business. I was supposed to get married in April 2020 but unfortunately due to Corona Virus, we had to change plans. My family lives out of state and CAN'T make it to the wedding. The owner refuses to give us our $400 deposit back (even though they CAN'T perform the services we intended to have since non-essential businesses must be closed during the month of April) He told us that, "A $400 deposit is not thousands of dollars to you guys"--Shows the true character of how this place is ran and how the owner does NOT care about the well-being of his clients/customers. During this virus outbreak, most people don't have income coming in and it is VERY disrespectful to assume $400 is not a lot of money during a time like this. I am disgusted by the way he is handling this situation. We booked a garden wedding outside with this business and the owner tried to be sneaky. He told us that we could have it inside (assuming that no one would be able to see us from the street) then offered to have a beach wedding; however, ALL BEACHES ARE CLOSED. He's still trying to offer loopholes by saying he can set it up at a church but that's NOT what we paid for and if we wanted to have it at a church, we could've done that for free. I am very disappointed and it just adds extra stress for a day that was supposed to be special. read more

This was an amzaing experience. Nathan guided us through the process and ensured we had beautiful pictures to remember the day! We had a small sunrise wedding on the beach and enjoyed every minute. After we were able to hop on the boat for our cruise. The timeline worked wonderfully with the cruiseline. Thanks to Galveston Wedding Chapel we had a wonderful stress free day and were able to focus on what the day is all about. read more

Getting married is one of the most intimate things that two people can do. The Galveston Wedding Chapel provides the personal aspects of a large, costly wedding but without all the stress and expense that comes with a indulgent, large church wedding. In fact, we were able to have our closest friends and family comfortably accommodated in the beautifully decorated venue. The Victorian house is lavishly furnished with antiques which are great for photo opportunities and give the venue an intimate and classic vibe. Our wedding turned out much better than we expected and we thank the owners of the Wedding Chapel for having a place were two people can come together as one. read more

I called to have a simple beach ceremony in the afternoon. Because I didn't want to spend the extra money for a photography package (when we have our own in the family) I was told that I would have to take my business elsewhere. They wouldn't even offer me a package in their chapel without the photographer. Unless you are looking for a sunrise or sunset beach wedding with a photographer don't call these guys. read more

Now that we've gotten that stuff out of the way, let me stake my Yelp reputation on the fact that I had an absolutely fantastic wedding experience largely due the fact that It's Your Day Event Planners was able to fill in the gaps by taking care of things either A) we couldn't or B) didn't have time for. In addition to that, the whole process went entirely smooth--especially on the day of the ceremony. Everything was taken care of, as far as I'm concerned. If I was thirsty, a glass of water was already in front of me. Someone forgot to contact a vendor? Taken care of. Folks, let me just say that Mary (who runs this business) really knows what she's doing, and I'm supremely confident that if you need a wedding planner for your day, too, she'll treat you with the same attentiveness as she did me and my bride. I highly recommend her services.

My fiancé and I got engaged in Jan 2019 and after venue shopping and planning, we were referred to Yvette in May 2019. At the time, we decided to not do a pop up since we ended up deciding to do a wedding on a cruise in 2020. Well obviously that fell apart thanks to the pandemic! Yvette was there to save the day! We were hoping things would get better in 2020 but COVID cases kept rising so we said screw it, let's do the pop up wedding! And we are SO happy that we did! We didn't want to do a huge party and spend thousands on a wedding but we got the upscale wedding look for so much less. Yvette and her team were offering these COVID packages (see their Instagram to see if still on going) and we had an officiant, seating for 25, cake, photographer venue and decorations all for under $2000. My family was worried that since we were spending significantly less than the average wedding cost that it wouldn't be as nice. In fact, we were criticized prior to the wedding, but then the day of the wedding arrived and they were in awe. It was so romantic and beautiful. Yvette and her team added flowers, candles and just made the night so magical. The cake was delicious and over all the experience was dreamy and magical. Pop Up Weddings Houston also go beyond the pop up wedding bookings. Yvette does weddings of all sizes! They actually do wedding give aways on their instagram so check it out if you're recently engaged! They also work with vendors/partners who provide live streaming services, photo booths and more! Anyways, major thanks to Pop Up Wedding Houston! I am totally referring my engaged friends to them! Come on, we are on vacation, who is carrying around a printer ?? Replied to the email for help and ... crickets. Tried calling again, sometimes you get voicemail, sometimes you don't. Either way, no one gets back to you. The place itself is worn down, didn't have much of rentals as far as we could see. After two days of trying to give them our money, we gave up and went to another spot 4 miles up the road. They got us set up in minutes with delivery. Not sure if K6 is shut down for the season or just doesn't care- but either way, don't waste precious vacation time here. Do not recommend.

We wanted a beach side wedding and we were very lucky to find Nathan. Simply put, he is an expert, has the perfect venue and most importantly, is passionate about providing the perfect and most memorable wedding by the sea you could ever hope for. He listens to what you have in mind and does a fantastic job of making your wishes come true. He also pays attention to detail and will provide advice and suggestions on ideas you as a couple may have missed. He does not pressure you or try to up sell you on the many services he provides. He simply caters to your wishes and works with you to provide the most magical wedding ever. It was a wonderful experience working with him on our wedding in September 2016. We were so relaxed and confident with him as we knew he would make sure everything went as planned..which it did! We still have comments to this day from our friends who shared our special day that it was "the best wedding ever". His photography is stunning, worth way more than the very reasonable prices he charges....wedding services / packages as well. As for the chapel and garden? Breath taking. We highly recommend Nathan with Galveston wedding Chapel for the most storybook wedding by the sea anyone could ask for!!!! read more

My husband was searching for the best place to renew our wedding vows on Galveston beach. We wanted something special, but casual. After visiting with Nathan at the Galveston Wedding Chapel, we were certain we found the right place. We scheduled our ceremony for the beach with the reassurance that if our evening got stormy, we had the perfect backup with the wedding chapel. We couldn't have dreamed of a better way to get married! The wedding chapel was very helpful and always there to answer any questions we had. There was no stress and we were able to enjoy our beautiful ceremony! We even wanted to have our first dance on beach and we hadn't discussed it with them previously but, there was no worries. Nathan stayed to take pictures afterwards for us! We had a group of about 25 adults/children and they did a great job of rounding us all up! Trust me ladies ,this is the way to go! I had my ceremony today 7/20 and I couldn't be happier. Definitely go with sunrise ceremony my pictures are amazing. My day was perfect. Nathan did a fabulous job and Pastor Dennis was just perfect for us. I would definitely recommend having your ceremony at the chapel or on the beach. Everything went so well. 100% satisfied. This is the perfect wedding venue if you are looking for a small intimate wedding. Nathan is awesome. The venue is small with an abundance of photo opportunities.
