Dear owner, we were not the typical family that you see every day, as we are not white, we are Hispanic and my husband and son in law are white. But I wanted to let you know that we work hard for everything we have, including a nice vacation. Our grandkids worked doing shores and saved enough to get what they want on top of the spending money we give them for their vacations. We teach them value and respect. I could have stayed and confronted the lady, instead I walked away and by doing it, we were the biggest people and I tough them a lesson of respecting themselves and not allowing nobody to disrespect them and mistreat them because of their race. One thing for sure, every time we come back to town, I would never spend a penny on your store. I hope you learn a lesson with this and remember not to be racist. By the way, I am very proud of who I am and where I am coming from, Puerto Rico. I have served this country as well. I read the owner review, two points, at the time of our visit; there were only 2 clients, other than us. We stopped in during THE PANDEMIC on a quiet weekday. I immediately fell in love with some of the framed photography, but like many others, during these difficult times, I'm on a budget, so that was a hard no to spending $150 on art right now. Luckily, when we wandered upstairs, we found less expensive prints of the images so we could frame it ourselves. SOLD. Staff were friendly. And bonus, even through my mask, it smelled so lovely inside.

The prices have skyrocketed and I fear they have steered away from the "local business" culture and prices. Now it feels like I'm shopping at an expensive department store. The prices are not reflective of the quality. The jewelry isn't as good as it used to be as the $14-$16 sterling silver earrings begin to tarnish after a month of wear. Many of my pieces I own have become stretched out and pilled after only a few wears (even with gentle washing/cleaning). Some of the pieces being the EXACT SAME BRANDS that are sold at Island Gypsy in Lavalette but being more affordable there. Today I went for the first time in a long time as I had a gift card and wanted to give them another shot as I so badly want to love sunshine again. But when I went to pay the girls said there wasn't enough money on my unused gift card saying there was only $13 of the $25...do not think it was malicious or intentional but I think there was a mix up due to them reusing gift cards. If you're charging this much for your products, why can't you afford to buy new gift cards or have a better system? The girls kind of just looked at me and shrugged like "sorry". After today, it makes me so sad as a local of point pleasant boro that a store I once loved for the quality and price has now become a hub specifically geared towards wealthy tourists.

I stopped there today (Sunday) at 3:30 to look for a Xmas gift for my wife. As I approached the entrance I noticed the front window displays were empty. There were customers and employees inside. I tried to open the door but it was already locked. They opened the door for me but as I approached the interior displays the employees began to empty those as well, I continued to try to look at what was left but the employees just kept removing everything from the cases. I couldn't believe it! It was like I wasn't even there. Xmas season they're removing everything a 1/2 hour before the advertised closing time!
