Dear owner, we were not the typical family that you see every day, as we are not white, we are Hispanic and my husband and son in law are white. But I wanted to let you know that we work hard for everything we have, including a nice vacation. Our grandkids worked doing shores and saved enough to get what they want on top of the spending money we give them for their vacations. We teach them value and respect. I could have stayed and confronted the lady, instead I walked away and by doing it, we were the biggest people and I tough them a lesson of respecting themselves and not allowing nobody to disrespect them and mistreat them because of their race. One thing for sure, every time we come back to town, I would never spend a penny on your store. I hope you learn a lesson with this and remember not to be racist. By the way, I am very proud of who I am and where I am coming from, Puerto Rico. I have served this country as well. I read the owner review, two points, at the time of our visit; there were only 2 clients, other than us. I brought a wath into Gold Fever to get a battery installed. The owner called me a week later and told me that the watch needed a new movement and his cost for the movement was $60.00. A few weeks later we got a call that the watch was fixed and ready for pick up. When my wife picked up the watch the bill was $106.00. I wasn't crazy about that but it is what it is. After getting the watch back I could not pull out the crown of the watch and the watch would just stop at 11:30 everyday. It also smelled like a chemical and had a haze on it. No big deal compaired to the watch stopping at 11:30 everyday and not being able to pull ou t the crown. I brought the watch back within the first week of getting it back from them and explained what was going on. The owner was not there but the lady behind the counter took the watch and wrote some notes on the work ticket. Over the next 3 to 4 weeks I called a few times to check the status of the watch and was told on multiple occasions someone would call me back. This never happened. What did happen was after Gold Fever having my watch for an additional 5 weeks someone called me and told me the watch was ready and the bill would be $60.00. I explained to the owner that I was a little confused as they have not fixed the watch correctly the first time. basically be plamed his watch maker and offered to charge me half price. So no. I will never walk into that store again. Complete theaf and they do not stand by their work. i.e. - I paid $106.00 for Gold Fever to NOT fix the watch the first time and was charged $60.00 but only paid $30.00 the second time for them to actually fix my watch.
