3 for service. The waitress was super sweet to my daughter & us. 1 for the food. The food was no good. At all. The fried chicken wings still had feathers on them. The other chicken was dry as heck. The fish had zero flavor. The salad bar was ok. Spanish rice had literally zero flavor. The only thing I would've gotten seconds of was mashed potatoes. I have no idea why the reviews are so high. My daughter enjoyed the ice cream & her salad but she didn't eat much of anything else. Good comfort food for when cooking is not an option. Buffet areas are separated into 4 sections (salad, entrees and sides, entrees and sides, desserts and breads). Gloves and masks were required to go to the buffet line (gloves were provided). All the foods were the appropriate temperatures. Some of the fried options were a little overcooked, specifically the shrimp. Many of the sides tasted homemade rather than already prepared, specifically mashed potatoes. We didn't eat any dessert but they had a couple of different cobblers. Service was very accommodating and took care of any needs we had, before we had them. This food was not worth $14.99. I really wanted a warm roll, however they were cold the entire time. I went back a couple of times but each time I got a cold roll and the waitress never went by so I could ask for warm ones. The food was either bland or too salty. There aren't very many options for the price. It was $65 for three adults and one child... who didn't like anything except the ice cream. She kept saying Golden Corral is way better. I don't even know if we had a waitress. The only time we were addressed was when we were asked what we want to drink and if we were finished with plates. read more

Buffet. $8 lunch, $11 dinner and the buffet changes regularly. Not restaurant food! It's fresh farm stuff; NOT typical prepackaged, made to corporate specs, bland chain food ala Golden Corral. If you'd rather go exclusively to KFC than to fry your own chicken once in a while, that might not be a big deal to you; but it is to me! We ate dinner, then lunch the next day and found the following (partial list): Country style Soup, Salad, and Cold Sides Bar: Soup of the day, all the typical salad fixin's including fresh spinach (no bleu cheese dressing), cottage cheese, peaches, watermelon, various pickles - including okra, different jello salads, variety of puddings. Several kinds of meat: (didn't try them all) Hunks of smoked brisket, fried catfish, fried chicken breast strips, sauteed pounded chicken, pork chops, roast beef, pulled pork. tex-mex tamales (ground beef, no husks, in a pan of light sauce and cheese). Those were good, just different. There were two kinds of pinto beans, broad beans and bacon, green beans, peas, corn, carrots, mashed taters and gravy, Brussels sprouts in butter, stewed vine-ripe tomatoes(!), sauteed zucchini and yellow squash, spinach, sauteed mushrooms, fried cabbage, hot rolls, cornbread (no sugar, so don't be scared to cover it w/ beans!) white rice and very meaty egg rolls - which were excellent, I had two. Peach cobbler, pear cobbler (I think) and the best pecan pie I have ever eaten in my 48 years. It has kind of spoiled my hopes of future pecan pies, but I will try dark Karo syrup and Mexican vanilla and maybe that will help improve my recipe. Also: home made soft serve ice cream, w/ a choice of crushed Oreos or pecans and chocolate syrup. Waffle and regular cones or enjoy it by the cup. Wow. It was so good. Service is cheerfully efficient and all the staff were very proud to be working there. They ostentatiously appreciated how much we ostentatiously appreciated their fine food. One of our favorite restaurants to visit when we are in Port A. The one in Portland was packed and no room to park our truck and boat so we decided to head on home. We go thru Sinton and then I remembered there was a Butter Churn restaurant there!! We were super excited. We get there and find sparking spot across the street. We were seated right away! And as usual the food was phenomenal!!!!! We had turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes and all kinds of veggies. The dessert was awesome too!!! We highly recommend this place!! Never again. Drove over 50 miles to claim my free birthday meal and was refused due to being one day early. In years past I was always allowed a three day window before or after the date. Also being from out of town they had allowed the flexibility. The waitress herself had mentioned the 3 day window. Well, I used to be a regular there, at least once monthly will be no more. I found this place on yelp coming back from Rockport. I stopped in Sinton and had a great meal. The Buffett was stocked, clean, hot, and looks like they take pride in appearance and the food.
