BEWARE! This is the most disgusting transportation company that I have ever booked. Someone needs to investigate their dishonest practices. There is a reason why there a so many negative reviews. My mother who is elderly and disabled needed a ride to the hospital which is 2 minutes away. I booked the appointment online and there was never a confirmation. I called them and asked for a confirmation, however they were extremely rude on the phone and kept on saying that they will send me a confirmation. The day of the appointment, the driver arrived but he was 30 minutes late. I told him that my mom might miss her appointment and would have to let the doctor know that we will be late. As a result, I informed the driver that the pickup time to return would be delayed He reassured me that it shouldn't be a problem and that the ride would not be charged. He told me to just call him when my mom is ready to return. When we finally arrived at the hospital, I got a call from ButterFli to tell me that the driver is waiting and that there will be additional charges added on top for the return drive if the driver has to wait longer. I explained to them that their driver was late and that we just arrived at the hospital. I also told them the driver assured me that he would be driving her back when she's ready. I explained to them that I shouldn't pay an additional amount when it was their driver's fault who arrived 30 minutes late. She started to threaten me over the phone and I told her that this was completely unacceptable. When my mom was ready to go back, the driver didn't show up, even though I called him several times. We had to call another transportation company. This was a total nightmare! read more

I am an older senior and I first used them in 2023 for a trip from Specialty Surgical Center In Beverly Hills at 9001 Wilshire Blvd. It was mandatory because though I had not been sedated I could not take a bus back home. My release time was kind of "up in the air" but they were very helpful in getting someone there to take me home. It was a very nice man from South Gate and we had a great conversation about rap group Cypress Hill which was from his home town! It was a very safe and informative ride. My next experience with them occurred on 11-4-24 much more recently. My Dr's office had provided a couple of names. One I called was too expensive for one way or maybe I was misunderstood and they quoted me a 2 way charge. it was about 90 dollars. Uber Assist had been recommended also but I had some difficulty establishing a preassigned appointment. I remembered my great experience with Butterfli but had hesitated because of a couple of negative reviews but the office person who I talked to was so courteous after I explained my circumstances that I decided to take another chance. I was not disappointed because I received excellent communication between the Buttefli dispatcher and the Surgical Center staff and they sent a car that had plenty of room in the backseat and I had a very short trip home with a very nice guy! These will be my "go to" company for medical transport and in fact I have to schedule another appointment for a biopsy at UCLA. Thanks Buttefli dispatchers , drivers and support staff for being a very reasonable med transport company for the westside of Los Angeles. ButterFli is the name of the company, but if you do business with them it's Delilah, John, Krishna, and Airron! The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the VA have had a long standing relationship with each other in order to transport our veterans who need rides to and from their medical appointments at the VA hospitals. For more than 30 years, we have heavily relied on volunteers to give their time and energy to the veterans in need; and fortunately--this year we had the opportunity to look for a separate solution--to look for a partner to expand our services outside the volunteer realm. I reached out to ButterFLi, and met Miss Krishna--which would soon turn into a very healthy relationship with their team. The whole team is responsive. The whole team is accessible. The whole team is genuinely mindful of the necessities and inner workings of what is needed to meet the consumers needs. The whole team cares deeply about not only our satisfaction as the resource of the transportation solution we needed to become, but the satisfaction of our passengers--who if you know many veterans, can be difficult to please! But most of all, the whole team is completely accommodating. Let me give you an example. For our particular solution, we did not have an idea of what was going to work for the VA due to a lot of hands in the logistical pot. ButterFLi provided a vehicle that met the initial needs of the hospital, which ended up not serving the needs at the end of the day. The VA needed a larger vehicle to provide access to wheelchair bound patients, which ButterFLi did not have on-hand. Instead of backing us into a corner because they didn't have the resources, ButterFli purchased a vehicle specific for our solution, and now have been transporting our veterans since 2019. The company may be young, but the wisdom is mature. Collectively, the team that works at ButterFLi has been in the business for many years--and they understand what it takes (on a personal level, as well as the legal side) to transport an array of individuals. I've learned a lot from them during this process of working with them, and I look forward to working with them more, to help find more solutions to our veterans' transportation needs. I absolutely can write more about the things that have helped win me over, but what it all comes down to is that... when I do business with a company, the last thing I want to do, is get off the phone and wish we were working with someone else. ButterFLi is not that company. I sent an email request for a ride on May 20, 2022 for a non-emergency medical transport ride on June 1, 2022. They sent a generic response email stating they had received my request. Come Monday, May 23, 2022, there was no follow-up, so I called. The woman who answered the call stated that it was too early to book it because she didn't know which of her drivers would be available. I asked when I could expect to hear from her, and she stated she would be in touch by May 25, 2022 with an update. I never heard from her. I ended up booking with Onward (www.onwardrides.com), who answered the phone, and got back to me right away with a booking confirmation. read more

In December my play brother began three times a week dialisis treatments. We look for an alternative to missing work and discovered ButterFLI, they provide on demand transit for folks like my friend, who need reliable transit to medical appointments. Their operator was courteous and knowledgeable, the driver came to his door and was prepared to assist with bags or devices had he needed it. They escorted him to the door which the other companies don't or won't do and he has the same driver pick him up and take him home when his appointment was done. He told me it was like having me or one of our other friends give him a ride. When and if I need a ride to the hospital, ButterFLI is now stored in my phone. read more

I called the company in advance of a surgical procedure to ask if they could drive me. They seemed helpful and the prices were reasonable. I thought about it for a moment and used their website to book a ride, but got no confirmation. A few days later I called because I hadn't gotten the confirmation. The person told me the web app doesn't actually do anything but store the information so they can "go through them." She found what I submitted which I thought was a ride booking and wasn't sure if they had a driver (why I submitted the request a week in advance?). She said she would check if someone was available and call me back. *crickets*. Thank you very much for the added stress around my medical procedure and completely ignoring my requests for help. I contacted this company to transport my aunt to her doctor's appointment. The service was great, on-time, drivers are screened prior to being hired. This was one of my major concerns with transporting her via Uber. They even called to let me know that she left her hat inside the vehicle. This was amazing, not only did I not have to leave work but i wasn't stressed about my aunt's safety during travel. A total disaster; my mother is wheelchair bound and suffers from dementia and they managed to completely screw up both the pickup and return for my mother's doctor appointment. They missed the pickup completely and, when all was said and done, kept my mother waiting at the entrance of the doctors office for over 3 1/2 hours only to have a Lyft driver arrive in a sedan totally unequipped to deal with a wheelchair and unwilling to assist my mother getting into the car. It seems Butterfli aggregates various Transport carriers and connects them with people requiring medical transport, so there is no real accountability. They are not a real medical transport company. read more
