Miss an email about a partner company coming to test students for a job? Too bad. You're not getting to take a test for that company regardless of how well you can weld. I have applied for around 25-30 jobs even as low as $16-18 an hour and still no luck. Part of me wants to think it is the schools reputation, but it's not certain. Tuition is expensive and it is going up even more for new enrollments. They made sure to say never worry about employment through the beginning as if it was only a sales pitch. My overall feeling of this school as of today is simply that they want your money, and don't care about anything else. Failing this school is actually hard to do because they push students through so they can keep getting your money. If something else magically changes between now and next month, I will update this review.

These people are crooked and they just want your money. I'm currently stuck in this hostile, unhealthy, unhelpful school environment because I have to pay them 20,000 either way. I'm stuck. They are wonderful salesmen, but that is where it ends. They tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign. Please please look elsewhere. For you, for your sanity and for your wallet.

After Kevin did a great job discussing the class offerings here, the "Director of Admissions"…read moreruined all that by being very unprofessional upon my physical arrival to the school. There was no welcome or we're glad to have you here type of greeting, I was just told to stand in a certain place to have my temperature taken by this mindless automaton and then corralled like a horse into a back room. I decided to dare to "roam the halls" as it was put while waiting, and was castigated. You would think looking in other workspaces at a school would be encouraged to cross-market. What followed was a convoluted rant on C19 and CDC issues that was more bullying and self-aggrandizement than good customer service or public relations. Roaming around put me further from people, not closer, so this was merely a power move. I arrived early and had a chance to interact with some current students and I saw none of them cheerful and some seemed unhappy or even mildly scared. Very unusual. Here fear and subordination supercede education. Students, if someone is not professional and kind to you, run away. Never let anyone weaponize their own personality to make you feel bad. There are other schools and the student calls the shots because its their money. One more thing. As I walked out, the staffer at the window was not wearing a mask, and I was, so please spare the hypocrisy.

Plenty of breathing room. Plenty of "personal time." Sometimes so much personal time you'll wonder if class actually started yet. Want to sleep in after years of military life? Good news -- some instructors don't even really start taking attendance until around 0830. Truly a gentle reintroduction to civilian life. Now... if you're attending because you seriously want to become a competent A&P mechanic and stay competitive in the Tidewater aviation market, then you better be prepared to carry a lot of the load yourself. They'll absolutely tell you they have "career services." And technically they do. If by career services you mean AI-generated resumes, motivational speeches, and career fairs where employers hand out stress balls and keychains while students pray someone's actually hiring. Remember: this is a for-profit school. Never forget that during the tour. Ask yourself honestly -- is the person giving me the sales pitch an educator... or a commissioned recruiter with a polo shirt and a clipboard? At the end of the day, the school only mildly prepares you for the reality that matters: passing the FAA writtens, orals, and practicals. The license doesn't magically appear because you sat in class and drank burnt coffee for 18 months. If your goal is a paid sabbatical with an extra $2200+ in BAH while easing out of military life, you'll probably love it. If your goal is becoming a highly skilled mechanic? You better be ready to teach yourself.

When it comes to them taking the time out of there day for one-on-one attention to help you better understand they are there for it all! The school on the other hand isn't. I was charged $300 on my FASFA for a laptop I didn't need I already had one. Since October of 2021 I have told them about it and nobody has help since. I told the president of the school and even the accreditation Board. The woman from the accreditation board made it seem like it wasn't a big deal and she would help but didn't care at all. As a student I haven't felt heard and felt like I wasn't taking seriously. Not only have I had problems with the school but more student in the program with me have. The staff changes so much because I everyone is always quitting. As I first started I was 3 months pregnant. As my due date became closer I was always asking how my classes where going to be effect with me being out 4 weeks. My director was always saying oh don't worry we'll handle it when the time is closer. When I had one month left, I was told if I take 4 weeks off for maternity leave my classes would be put on hold and I wouldn't graduate in September. I was back at school a week later after giving birth so keep that in mind before attending.
