Butterfly did a great job putting up a sign for us in a very difficult location. There had been a wall built in front of where my sign was going and it was not able to be installed from the front. I'm all about supporting the mom & pops small businesses. And yes, you can definitely get things printed a lot cheaper through the endless online deals, this is a small mom and pops operation. I usually deal with the older gentleman Mr. Tran. He's very nice and knowledgable. Whether or not they outsource their printing is not my concern, because I enjoy interacting with people and doing business the old fashioned way - face to face rather than through a computer. I own a small business myself and understand customer service is very important. I got my light box decals printed here for my street sign and in-store sign as well. Both times, the jobs were complete and done in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. Basically, I wanted some very custom adhesive graphics on my most prized possession: My Ducati 999 Monoposto Supersport Motorcycle. I was impressed with the owners enthusiasm and commitment to get the job done right. Also, they were very affordable and i ended up tipping them an additional $40 because went far beyond the call of duty. The owner, Mr. Tran, is a very nice, creative, and honest guy. I came here with my friend to get a quote for some concert flyers. The guy was really nice but I found it odd that he had to call another guy for a quote. Maybe they send off their larger orders to another print shop? We came in looking for 500 single-sided, full-color, 8.5x11" glossy/coated flyers. The nice old man quotes us $140.00 for 500 prints and $180.00 for 1000 prints. I don't know how that compares to other print shops, but maybe my quote will help you deduce that information. The turn around time for such an order was expected to be 5-7 business days. Their shop was a little crowded/cluttered with signs and whatnot, but it was able to at least showcase what services the store had to offer. Parking wasn't the best since it's off of Bolsa where all that construction is going on. The lot is tiny (like 3 parking spots tiny) but they don't get too many customers, so I don't think finding a parking spot will be a problem at all. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. I can't comment on their work though; we're still browsing. But from what they had around the store, they seem to do a decent job. At this time, I can only rate them as satisfactory for their customer service. I can not yet rate their actual printing services. read more

Where do I begin...I was recommended here from a friend and thought great this is going to be professional business that was going to take care of me since I was in the process of opening my own business and needed a sign. I should've known from the gecko what a lack of communication this was when I was calling and texting Cara up the ying yang just to get a quote. 1 week later she finally answered ...so we came in to see her to get a quote. She told us it would take 2 weeks to finish the sign including the city's permit and what not. We decided to go with it and mentioned to her that we wanted to open on a specific date if it couldn't happen she offered us a banner that we paid for. Long story short with stress and frustration - The sign was finished 1 month later. I was stoke and had my grand opening that following weekend to find out that the sign didn't even light up like how it was supposed to. What a disappointment! This place is so expensive too! Butterfly Signs representative Cara was able to fulfilled my request. I submitted my banner proof and the quality was not right. Cara offered to fix it or redesign with at no charge. If I could give Butterfly Signs 5+ stars, I would. This company goes above and beyond to make their costumers happy. I have used their services multiple times and always happy with the results. They are nice and dedicated. They give constructive idea for the design, at the same time still meeting the wants of the costumers. I gave them couple rush projects and they completed them in short period of time. One time, I gave them a print for banner but with the wrong spelling. We found out once it was printed. Being in residential and commercial real estate for over 20 years I am constantly in need of print services. On a Tuesday, I was in need of a vinyl banner made quickly. My usual guy was out on vacation and left someone who knew jack shit. Desperately I yelped for a sign shop and went with Butterfly Signs because of their high ratings. They far exceeded my expectations of even what was possible a mom and pop sign shop was capable of doing. I feel like they're a gift from God. This place deserves more than 5 stars and put in its own category. Yes I could've went a lot cheaper the online route but after my experience with Butterfly Signs I will never go back. Once you go Butterfly Signs you'll never go back. If I did I would be going back to signs shops in the back of dirty alleys next to auto repair shops with usually only one guy who knew anything. When I first went into the Butterfly Signs I was friendly greeted by an older man who was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to really care about giving me exactly what I wanted. He even went as far as warning me about sizes where city permits would be required thus saving me a lot of time. Their floor layout was very interesting with a large work table right in the middle. This reminded me of an open layout kitchen displayed at high-end restaurants. Cara who also assisted me was greatly detailed in making sure my print was accurate and the sharpest it could be. She could've also recreated my design layout quickly just so I would get the best possible print. Another employee also helped me with design ideas for my business cards and made sure grommets were placed where I needed them on my banner. No online store nor any store as a matter of fact can match Butterfly Signs' experience, attention to detail, useful suggestions, thoughtfulness, teamwork, and customer service. In my 20 years experience in dealing with sign shops Butterfly Signs is hands down the best ever! They are now my sole company provider for all my printing needs and services. All the employees are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and work great together. It doesn't hurt that Cara is major hotie all day. The only weird thing is that the othervdude asked if I was from San Francisco. What does that mean? One of my property managers that was with me at the time laughed cuhz we're from Hawthorne. Butterfly Signs delivered by the promised time and even advised me on mounting methods. They were worth every penny and a bag of chips.
