Chose this shop since it was close to NoBeBoSco Boy Scout camp, a camp counselor needed a haircut on his only day off, and walk-ins were welcome. Arrived at 12:20-12:30 on Saturday afternoon. 1 customer was in the chair in the shop. Unfortunately, was told they don't take walk ins. Not sure why since most of the reviews say walk ins welcome. Apparently that's not the case. Sadly, Buzzwerks lost some business today. read more

I go out of my way to go here for my haircut. Not that I have allot to cut but they all pay attention to detail so when you leave you look the best you can be! Everyone is friendly and really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. And what's great is the fact that there is no turnover, you see the same people who remember you. The costs are competitive with other places but the chains that cut hair and give out coupons never keep a steady staff and if you don't have allot of hair they tend to rush through it and don't give you the attention to grooming you deserve . If you have not been here, you should go next time you need a cut ! read more

History

Established in 2001.

Begun in November of 2001, this sole proprietorship has been grown from a seedling. Cynthia, the owner, started with her following only to grow it into a thriving three chair barber shop in the beautiful community of Blairstown NJ. 14 years of owning a small business in a small community speaks for itself. We have grown primarily from word of mouth. Recently we have "reinvented" our sister shop, Salon BeYoutiful, which is directly next door to Buzzwerks. We have a menu to take home. We have an active "hometown" barber shop right next door to a full service salon with a super friendly atmosphere for families.

Meet the Business Owner: Cynthia M.

Cynthia grew up in Northern New England and loves the small town atmosphere Blairstown has to offer. She has been licensed since 1985 and enjoys her barbering career she began 29 years ago. She loves her team of stylists and proud to offer a "stylist for everyone" concept. Her staff is truly like family to her. She has two daughters, 19 and 13. And a three year old son. She loves to give to her community, and does every chance she gets.

This salon gets 5 Star Rating from me. My stylist, Tracey is very talented with color and with giving great styling ideas. I love playing with color and having fun with my hair but at the same time I need to look professional and EVERY TIME I leave the salon I am more then happy with the outcome. That's hard to find. My hair shines and is much healthier now that Tracey got ahold of it. She's great with hair cuts, color, and styling. Hubby approves! So happy I found Tracey and this salon. I also want to add that they have great prices and specials too! The salon owner, Cynthia (and also owner of Buzzwerks right next door) is always giving back to the community and to her patrons. I come from PA and my two boys get their hair cuts from Buzzwerks. They look fantasic....no fish bowl hair cuts! They have style to their hair. It's the little things I love most about this place. I have been getting my hair done by Andrea for many years. She goes the extra mile and does a great job. I have curly and uncontrollable hair but I am always satisfied with Andrea's magic touch to keep my hair under control. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming here as I am always greeted with a smile and hug. There is always a cup of coffee or tea available and it is usually served to you!
