Had a signature pedicure with Tina...it was truly relaxing. The colors and nail polishes were high quality and the latest colors were featured on top to make it easier for choosing. The area for pedicures is tucked in the back away from the entrance. It was nicely decorated and warm inside. No harsh chemical smells like most nail salons Tina was gentle on my feet and did a great scrub and I felt much of my dead skin dissappear. I'm picky about the salons and spas I go to and I had a wonderful warm and comfortable experience here. Lots of free parking next to the spa. read more

I went into Mancuso for a color touch up and highlights the highlights were Ballyage. I am extremely picky about how my hair looks and it came out fabulous Alyssa did an amazing job on very long hair that is colored and having to put the highlights placed into it. I then decided to get it cut and she gave you a beautiful haircut I can't recommend Alyssa enough. She was very good. I've been getting my nails done by Teena for a while and she does a beautiful job on my nails. I get so many compliments and I'm sure when I go out my hair is going to get many compliments. Also, the staff is always complementary and courteous. They make me feel pampered and very special. I highly recommend Mancuso. I absolutely love Mancuso. I enjoyed a pedicure and also treated myself to a cut by Keira. She didn't disappoint! I left feeling refreshed and like a new woman. Keira is warm, friendly and gave me a fabulous cut. She listened intently to what I requested and gave me exactly what I wanted. Perfect! This salon is amazing! Amanda B is literally a saint...from cuts to color, I go in with an idea and she works her magic to make it even better than I could have imagined! I have very fine, curly hair, so it's been difficult finding someone who knows how to work with it. I really want to like this place: The salon is gorgeous and extremely well-ventilated. The decor is beyond compare to any other salon I've been to. However, the two times I had my hair done here I left frustrated. First Experience: Resulted in me driving 1.5 hours round trip (Sparta to Morris Plains in some fabulous rush hour traffic) to redo my own hair before a bachelorette party. The experience was not inexpensive and I stopped the stylist about halfway through the blowout. She previously mentioned her fatigue and commented she worked on other girls with long hair earlier. Instead of creating big bouncy curls with a hairbrush she pulled out a hair straightener which, quite frankly, I can do myself at home. I was red with anger and on the verge of tears. Second Experience: It will be better right? I waited almost an hour without notice. Turns out, the stylist was actually in front of me doing a makeup trial on a preteen. I was given no notice and when I asked (twice) what was going on both women at the counter looked at each other stunned. I was never told my stylist was in front of me and obviously occupied. I'm assuming they double-booked her by mistake. I left with another sub-par blowout. The highlights I received were OK. Mistakes happen and people have bad days, but I don't really want to pay the cost for that type of service. read more

Several years ago I followed JoAnne to Mancuso when she left her former salon in Newton. I have always been pleased with my experience at Mancuso. While the new salon location is often very busy (which is certainly a testament to its success), it is beautiful and the staff is friendly. JoAnne is the absolute best as she will be upfront with you as to what does or doesn't work for your hair type and face shape and explain why. I trust her ability completely and therefore I often tell her to "do whatever she wants" with my hair and she never goes wrong. I moved out of Sparta over a year ago and happily drive the hour+ to see her. read more

I had my wedding this weekend, and Jen from Mancuso did my hair and makeup. The result was even better than I expected. My makeup was light and natural while still being camera ready. My hair was perfect, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Not only was her work phenomenal, but her presence was so calming. Rude receptionist- rude hair dressers! My friend went recently - they we're terribly rude to her, told her they had to cancel her appointment because there was enough time to color her hair- went she asked to go to someone else they were rude to her in the salon- Try Designer Jeans. I felt bad because she is new to the area. No reason to treat people badly. read more

I went here for the 1st time to get a pedicure, and it was great! Kim was lovely and did a fantastic job. The area for pedicures is tucked away in the back so it's quiet and relaxing. My nails came out perfect, and my husband even complimented on how nice they were hahah. Will definitely be back for future pedicures! read more

Two days after my haircut, I received a contact tracing text from a salon employee because my stylist tested positive for COVID-19. The stylist's symptoms began the morning after my visit. She and other personnel in the salon were not wearing masks and have not done so since the state mandate was dropped. Fortunately I did wear one, given the danger posed by the Delta variant now, even to those who are vaccinated as I am. The text message informed me that if I had questions I should call the salon, so I did and my number was passed along to the owner. When she returned my call, it was with not with any concern for my well-being. The salon owner seemed irritated to hear from me, highly defensive, uninterested in the situation, insisting that the COVID vaccine kills people and that it was a godsend once the mask mandate was dropped. Make up your own mind as to whether or not this place is for you. I had liked the way the stylist was cutting my hair but would certainly never return and give my business, money, or health up to this salon again. Horrified at the irresponsible attitude and lack of concern for others. read more

Caterina is amazing! She took the time to listen to what I wanted and where I wanted to get with my hair. I've always jumped around salons because the stylist gave me what they wanted or what they could do in the amount of time that they had. My appointment with Cat went way over!!! All she kept telling me was how she was so excited and that it's beautiful process. Never once did she make me feel rush or complained about how much hair that I have or how long the process took... Mancuso is a well-appointed, special place for salon services. I came in on a first time visit for a drastic change from my frizzy/curly strawberry blond hair, mid-length. I was somewhat nervous about a short cut and color since I didn't know exactly what I wanted. Judy was friendly at the desk, and offered the coffee and tea they have on a station at the front. Maria came out promptly for our consultation and immediately put me at ease as to what I wanted to do. She understood what I was looking for and agreed, but made her own suggestions on perfecting things. She offered a Demi permanent for my sensitive scalp, and helped me select the perfect color. Marissa did my shampoo before the cut and after the color, adding in a scalp massage. Coffee is offered again during the wait for your color to set. The price was very reasonable and even though they were out of stock on one recommended hair product, I was offered a discount for being a first time customer which made up for the loss of product. All in all, a beautiful, relaxing experience with professional stylists. Highly recommend you visit Mancuso for any beauty needs in the Sussex County area! I will be back again for sure. read more

I am moving to Sparta this fall (my fiancé lives there now) so I've been on the hunt for someone in the area to do my hair - Gabrielle is it! I'm blonde and picky about my highlights - its always hard finding someone new. I've gone three times and this last time she nailed it! First two times were good - this time great - and her cuts every time are excellent! She listens to my feedback and adjusts where necessary which I think is important. I haven't had my hair done professionally in about 10 years. By my mother's insistence to see "her girl Jessica" I finally gave in. I guess she was tired of me being 39 and unmarried, or she was just tired at looking at the fuzz on top of my head. Jessica had to contend with many years of boxed color as well as a customer with VERY fine hair and a forehead the size of Texas. Just as you wouldn't tell your surgeon how you'd like your pancreas to look, I left the creativity to the professional. And she did NOT disappoint!!! My hair is a GORGEOUS color, and the cut is not only beautiful but super easy to do in the morning!!! As someone who was terrified of having bangs for the first time since 2nd grade, I'm upset that I hadn't listened to my mother (please don't tell her I said that) 10 years ago when she first told me about Jessica. Great salon! Friendly, clean, updated and the stylists know their stuff! Darlene gave me the BEST haircut I have ever gotten in my 25 years of life. My hair hadn't been cut in about a year and a half because as most of us have experienced time and time again- I kept receiving bad haircuts (even though I don't ask for anything beyond basic) and kept constantly switching salons in North Jersey to try to find a remedy for this. I eventually gave up! My hair was extremely long when I went to go see her last week and since I'm in nursing school- it's constantly thrown on top of my head in a bun. This is my favorite salon. Everyone is so friendly and awesome. I get a cut and color here every 4 or so weeks. I get MANY compliments on my hair. I introduced my daughter in law to the salon and she had all the girls get their hair and make up done at the salon before the wedding, since the wedding was in the area. As a long time client of Mancuso's ive always been satisfied getting my hair done. Now they have added a spa to the new location where i have been getting my facials done. I went to Christina for my first facial in a while and she added Microdermabrasion. She was very thorough with extractions and the microdermabrasion didn't even hurt, I left there with my skin glowing and soft for days. Their spa area over all is inviting and warm. I have gone to Mancuso's a couple times and they were always great... Until this past weekend. I went in and wanted about 4 inches off which would bring my hair to about 3 inches below my shoulders. She cut my hair a good 3 INCHES ABOVE MY SHOULDERS. I verbally told her what I wanted, I physically showed her many pictures of what I wanted, and showed her on my own hair to about where I wanted it. I don't know what happened, but here I am with the shortest hair I've ever had, it's not even close to what I asked for, and every time I look in the mirror I want to cry. Oh, and all she could say was "don't worry you'll get used to it." This haircut has destroyed my confidence and I will NEVER return to this salon ever again, and I'm making sure to tell others as well. You should leave a salon feeling beautiful, not awful and bawling your eyes out. read more

I had an appointment 2 weeks ago for highlights and a haircut on a Saturday. My appointment was at 1pm, I got there 5 minutes early and the hairdresser did not come out until 1:15. I have hair above my shoulders and wanted a stacked bob hair cut and highlights, which is basically what I had and just needed it cleaned up and a bit shorter. The haircut took over an hour and I did not leave until after 4pm. My hair was uneven and not cut the way I wanted it done and I tried explaining this a few times. The salon closes at 4pm on Saturday and all of the other hairdressers that work there were coloring and doing their own hair before they left for the day. have to agree with the receptionist being rude also. So upset that I wasted 3 hours on a Saturday away from my family, spent over $150 and had a terrible haircut. I gave this place a try again and again was disappointment with the service and haircut. So unfortunate for the money you spend and leave unhappy. No managers were at the salon on this day. read more

For the price of this salon, it's just not worth it. I want to like this place, the salon itself is very pretty. But each time I've gone the staff has always been standoffish and unwelcoming. The last time I went, my stylist only said 3 sentences to me, cut my hair an inch above my shoulders when I told her I only wanted it as short as my collarbone, and charged me nearly $60 (without tip) for a haircut I didn't like that was only supposed to be a trim. When I asked in the summer about a blonde hair color that would suit my skin tone, they told me to go white platinum blonde. I have fair skin and naturally dark hair and this would not suit me at all. But as they explained I would need more treatments to get to that color, I realized that they didn't really care how I would look. More treatments to make my hair platinum means more money in their wallets and that was all that mattered. There are tons of better salons in the area that have more affordable prices, a better and more welcoming atmosphere, and will give you the cut/color you desire. read more
