This was my first time eating here they were super nice when I called to order I did pick up.i ordered one small pizza one large , cheesey fries ,cheese bread,and I tried there meatballs 2 for a $1 .I really like the spaghetti sauce on the meats balls they were well seasoned.i ate the small pizza it was good extra greasy I will say I prefer the pepperoni on top instead of under the chesse but it was still good I feel like the pizza sauce was missing something so I added some garlic salt on my pizza made it perfect.the cheese fries were average added a little sea salt the cheese bread was good really good garlic butter sauce that came with it.my boyfriend got the other pizza he said it was good.when I picked up the food they were really nice even offered to take my food out the side door for me but I choose to take it out the front but they also held the door for me its a good little pizza place in the heart on greendale will be going back to try the meat ball and spaghetti. read more

The pizza experience we were hoping for was not there! Upon opening the pizza box we immediately saw that there were sparse toppings. We ordered the deluxe pizza with everything on it. Then we tasted it! Not good by a long shot! The crust was limp, the sauce was bland, and the ingredients weren't fresh. We paid $30 dollars for this horrible pizza! Can we say NEVER AGAIN? read more

Pizza is always hot and made as ordered. You can't beat the price either. However the only downside is that the if you are looking for somewhere to "eat in" then go somewhere else or better yet order it to go and eat out at a local park by the river either in Lawrenceburg or Aurora. Thought I was an expert regarding all hot spots Lawrenceburg but, somehow, I totally missed this one. Being a fan of the "old dive", I felt right at home at this place. Tucked away back behind the old Seagrams plant, Buzzys is a true hidden gem. I ordered the meat lover to go. It arrived super hot, with a nice crispy crust, and loaded w/lots of cheese. Keith & the staff couldn't have been more friendly. They made me feel welcomed and shared in the rich 20 year history of the ole place. This is a take out kind of joint but there was just enough dining space for me to sit and put down a couple of slices of this delicious pie before heading out the door. read more

Had Buzzy's delivered last night. We did not know until recently that they deliver to HVL. Ordered 2 medium pizzas and a mushroom hoagie and it was FANTASTIC!! Ordering over the phone and paying with a credit card was super easy. The driver arrived within the quoted time and was very friendly. So happy to have this option now. If you are a foodie, this is a must try! This is some of the best pizza around. They have many other items on their menu that are just as amazing, like their Cheesy Bread, and Hoagies. They use fresh Veggies and they do not skip on giving their customers the perfect amount of toppings for whatever meal you order!! Service is great and so is their pricing. Buzzy's is a small Pizzeria in Greendale Indiana. As of when I was there they were not doing any inside dining and was only doing takeaway service. They keep their menu to just pizza, hoagies, and and pasta in addition to a couple of sides. I started with an order of bread sticks which came with pizza sauce as well as a garlic butter sauce. They aren't really sticks as they are more like mini loaves which is fine and kind of unique. Unfortunately they did nothing to alter the flavour of the bread as they didn't brush any butter or seasoning on there so it was just basically eating straight up bread and dunking it into the very small packets of the sauces given. For the pizza I got their basic Meatlover's Pizza which came with pepperoni, sausage, ham, ground beef, and bacon. The toppings were all really good and plentiful and they had a decent red pizza sauce. The crust was very average and not very memorable. It was on the thin side not unlike Domino's or Pizza Hut's thin crust. It was a slightly above average pizza that relied mostly on the toppings to make it good. I want to try their hoagies and pastas yet but based only on the pizza and bread I can only give a mild recommendation as the bread "sticks" were very underwhelming and the pizza doesn't really stand out that much. read more

Don't let the building fool you. It might look unimpressive from the outside... However - This pizza is by FAR, the BEST PIZZA place in the area. Maybe the best pizza in the TRI-STATE region?..perhaps the best pizza in the entire COUNTRY? Yeah. It IS that good. The employees that make, I mean create these masterpieces, might not be Earthlings...They might actually come from Planet Pizza and they are here to help bring "Piece (of ) to Earth". Yep. That's definitely, possibly, probably a True story. The only negative thing that I can say is that Buzzy's is not open every day of the week. But I can imagine that traveling across the galaxy would put a time restraint on business hours. read more

As many reviews have said - don't judge a book by its cover! My first time ordering pizza from Buddy's, I put the address in my GPS and wasn't confident that I was at the right place. However, once you walk inside, you're greeted by friendly, busy, and hard-working staff... who make GREAT pizza. I ordered pick up on a Saturday night and they were busy when I went into the restaurant. My favorite thing on the menu is the cheese bread - aaaamazing! and, it's HUGE! Everything is so well priced. Buzzy was a great man. He'd hustle out of working all day, with a couple fresh made pizzas in tow. He'd be off to catch the first post at Turfway Park in Florence Ky and brought the pizzas along for his friends. He'd hand out one to the front desk receptionist, the handicapper data guy at the program stand, and possibly one of his hundreds of friends ready for that first race. I never met anyone that didn't appreciate his unique and genuine character. I decided to make the trek over to Indiana to pay him a visit and get that famous Double Cheese Double Pep Double Sauce "Double Double special" and most importantly hear that laugh one more time. I was sad to discover that Buzzy past 8 months ago back in December. Cherish the friendships , savor the Double Double and perhaps enjoy the Daily Double from time to time. read more

We have eaten here for years, both carry out and dine in. Yes, the building is rough but I have NEVER seen bugs. The staff is friendly when they are not covered up with orders and even then, they are hospitable. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Food portions are extremely generous. My significant other and I split a calzone and large antipasto salad most often. We are stuffed when finished. This is our favorite place to get food because we know it will always be delicious, affordable and filling. read more

On the wall inside their tiny, spartan dining room is a poster for the film "Seabiscuit" about the horse racing champion that looked like far less than a winner. It's a good metaphor for this ma-and-pa hole-in-the-wall pizzeria. At first glance, it's the kind of place you'd hesitate to walk into, and it doesn't get any better on the other side of the threshold. But be brave! The food is worth it. I stake that claim on a single visit, how? With a great crust, generous toppings, the right cheeses, and a bargain price, what's not to like? The marinara is thick but not too chunky, zesty but not overly spicy, and loaded with oregano. Everything I like in this most essential condiment. The service might have been better, had I not been alone and with a small order comes a smaller tip. I have no complaints, I left a $2 tip on an $8 meal, I make no judgment, and I would absolutely eat there again in the unlikely event that I ever return to their neck of the woods. It's off the beaten path for sure, and not pretty inside or out (beware the bathroom!), but if you're looking for a family owned restaurant that will absolutely satisfy your hunger for Italian fare, you'll find it here. read more

The pizza is ok, but the main reason I'm giving 2 stars is thev lack of cleanliness and hygiene practices of the staff. No masks during Covid, going from register to food prep without washing hands and the guy that I witnessed cutting pizza had a huge beard (not covered) and was leaning over the pizza with the beard almost touching. We came to town for some antique shopping. After being outside all morning everyone was hungry and so of course we were in search of our next meal via Yelp. This place had more stars then the other suggestions and so we made a bee line for it. We pulled up and could see this was a mom and pop pizza shop and despite the rough exterior we were pleasantly surprised when our pizza arrived. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza and when it arrived it was cooked to perfection. A large pizza fed 2 adults and 1 teenager. Visit these guys!!! I chose NYPD because I had an Entertainment Book coupon for it. I called ahead to ask about prices and the specifics of the coupon. The person I spoke to on the phone assured me that I could combine the daily special with my coupon. With that being said, I moved forward with my order. When I arrived to pay and pick up my pizzas, another person informed me that I could not use both. This was the answer I was anticipating, but since I was already told it would be fine, this was pretty irritating. Even after I explained that I was just told differently on the phone, they rudely retorted it didn't make a difference. Like the other reviews say this isn't the prettiest place you will ever step foot in but what it lacks in appearance it totally makes up for with its food. The pizza was fire! Dough was crispy and had no flop, great tasting sauce, and grease level was minimal. Prolly going back tomorrow. read more

Excellent Pizza. Service was not up to par. The customer is always right in how it was put to me. I waited over an hour for something that was quoted 40 minutes. When I called back i was told it was on its way in 10 minutes, 20 minutes later, it finally showed up. The staff was very defensive and not helpful at all. read more

Excellent pizza. We dined in. I should probably deduct a star for the physical condition of the building; in serious need of paint & maintenance. But this is a pizzeria, not Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and most people are just going to order and pick up, so that's not a factor for most of you. We actually had a very enjoyable meal. The salads were most reasonably priced and the quality of the salads was excellent, better than many we've had at much more expensive restaurants. Everything was cut fresh, there was no brown edges to the lettuce whatsoever. Seriously, they could have served that salad at a $50 per person upscale restaurant and would have had nothing to be ashamed of. The "small" salad we each ordered was almost more than we could finish. We got a meat pizza and it was really excellent. On top of all that, the service was excellent. People were very friendly and served us at our table with a separate china plate for the pizza and salad. Overall, this was a surprising and excellent experience, and we will be back.
