I would happily leave zero stars if I could. I don't usually leave bad reviews, I just don't return. Tonight was the third time they did not have my order. This time, they said they gave it to someone else. Other times, they said they didn't receive the order until I showed them where I ordered and paid for it. No apologies any of the times. Just said they'd make it and I ended up waiting for an hour. Said they gave it to someone else this time but would remake it but it would take a while. When I asked for a refund, they didn't have the amount right, had to show them the order/amount. No apologies any of the times. This time all I got was "Do you want your change?" Every experience we've had with Poseidon's and the owners, Savannah and Brad has been great! We get pizza from there at least once a week. Our favorite is the Dab of Ranch. They are very helpful in the community. The staff is always friendly. It bothers me if someone were to ever put a bad review. I truly don't know how they could be or do any better. I wouldn't call myself a regularly customer by any means, but I've been ordering from Poseidon's two to three times a year since it opened in Florence. It was always a decent experience until the last two times, which had been my first visits in quite a while. A couple months back I picked up a pizza about 30 minutes after I ordered it. I received no notification like I usually do, but I figured it was probably close to done and I could just wait there if not. Well, it was definitely done when I received it, seeing as it was completely room temperature. They must have made it right after I ordered it and failed to notify me and it just sat. I guess they have no means of keeping their food warm? Whatever. I understand sometimes mistakes happened. I'm not usually one to complain unless something is really bad. Like inedible. Which leads me into the last time I ordered from there... On this occasion I was notified that my pizza was done. Great. I had been running an errand and was near the store already so I arrived just a couple minutes later. I pick up my pizza and decided to check it when I got back to my car. Pepperoni can make for a greasy pizza already, but when I say this thing was greasy I mean it was like sopping wet. There was a pool of grease that had collected on one side of the pizza like someone dumped a cup of the stuff on it. I lifted a slice up to check underneath and it was complete mush. Exactly how you would expect a pizza to be that had been left to sit in a liquid, and it was soaking into the cardboard. I would've for sure had grease in the seat of my car if I drove home with it. Like I said, I'm not one to complain, but this *was* inedible. At least in any traditional way you eat a pizza. I might've been able to use a spoon. I mean, it wasn't merely "not to my preference" or going to make for a disappointing mediocre dinner that I paid good money for. It was pizza soup. I immediately took it back in and asked for my money back. I didn't make a big deal about it but I told and showed them why. The guy at the counter (an older gentleman, not the person who handed me the pizza) gave me my money back without argument, but also didn't apologize or comment on what was clearly not an acceptable pizza by any stretch of the imagination. I don't need them to fall all over themselves apologizing or anything, but I found this kind of strange. I know restaurants get picky customers who are impossible to please and will complain about anything, but the issues with this pizza were incontrovertible. No one there would eat something like this had they ordered it. I kind of expected at least an excuse or a "my bad, dude" or something. Anyway... I don't know what's going on behind the scenes there. I saw there was a change in ownership at some point in some of these reviews and I guess they've had a drop in quality since then. Or maybe I'm unlucky and just went on two off nights. I don't know. Either way that's the last time I roll the dice with them. I don't eat out often enough to want to deal with stuff like that. read more

Not the best, but not the worst. We ordered Poseidon's Pizza for pick-up on a Thursday night, and had a positive experience placing our order online and picking everything up. Our food was ready in less than 30 minutes - and the location of this restaurant was easily accessible for takeout. We ordered a medium Hot Honey pizza, a medium GOAT pizza, and some garlic knots. The garlic knots were fluffy with a nice crust, but they didn't have much flavor to them. You're provided with some garlic butter sauce to dip them in, but we got more butter than garlic, and were left a little disappointed. Of the two pizzas, the Hot Honey was definitely the favorite, although I wasn't picking up much of that hot honey flavor. Instead - it just tasted like a solid pepperoni pizza with a crispy crust and a sweet tomato sauce. I also ordered a side of their ranch for dipping, and thoroughly enjoyed this housemade sauce. The GOAT didn't quite live up to its name - while I'm all for a fully loaded pie, there were so many toppings that the cheese (and everything else) slid right off when we picked up each slice. After reassembling, we noted again that both the crust and sauce were quite tasty, and that the bacon was quite crispy. That said, the sausage bits didn't really bring that classic meatiness we were hoping for, and I ended up picking them off. Both of our pies weren't sliced all the way through - meaning we had to pull out our own pizza cutter and finish the job ourselves. I'd be open to giving Poseidon's Pizza another try - but I think I'd definitely switch up our pizza order, and probably leave off the Garlic Knots next time. read more

We didn't plan on trying Poseidon's, but decided to after our go-to deep dish pizza place was slammed on a Saturday night, during Pizza Week no less. We tried their Deep Dish Pizza with Pepperoni & Sausage and their Pepperoni Pizza along with an order of Garlic Drips. The Garlic Drips were definitely overly exaggerated in their description. They're just plain balls of bread. Due to the name we had expected it to be dripping in garlic butter, but instead it just came with a tiny side of the butter. Now, onto the pizza. The Pepperoni Pizza good while the Deep Dish was sparse on its ingredients we would have liked more cheese & pepperoni and would have given it only 3 stars, BUT the sausage and sauce were amazing. They were so flavorful that it really helped save the whole dish. For being disappointed that we couldn't have the pizza that we originally wanted for dinner, we were pleasantly surprised by the flavor-packed punch that Poseidon's delivered. read more

We had generally enjoyed our experience until the last time (several months ago). We ordered 2 subs and they called and said they ran out of buns. No problem. After offering me the equivalent in pizza, I declined and asked for my credit card purchase to be credited. They agreed. It is here where they fell way short. So the charge was on my card for a week and the credit never came through. I disputed the charge with my bank and Poseidon's still was fighting me that they fulfilled their service (even though I made it quite clear they did not). Ultimately the bank sided with me and gave me my credit under protest by Poseidon's. It wasn't a huge amount and we were regular customers so it's quite shocking when a business calls a customer a lier. So it's over but we will NEVER return as a customer again read more

Honestly, very disappointing pizza. We got the G.O.A.T pizza, which is supposed to have bacon, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onion, and black olives. We got it without the olives. If you look at the picture, you will see many missing ingredients. Where is the bacon, mushrooms, green peppers? There's hardly any onion. Well, like a sympathetic fool I decided to try this place again. What a mistake after several attempts to order online failed I finally called this disaster after the call dropped multiple times I finally got the privilege of being put on hold. Finally Jeff Spicoli answered as I attempted to muddle through Jeff's marijuana haze he took my order. As I was not going to trust a delivery I decided to pick up based on the time frame Spicoli gave me. Upon pick up at the advised time I was told my pizza was not ready. We got it delivered so I can't speak for the inside of the restaurant but the delivery was decent in speed and the driver was very friendly. Now I'll move on to the yummies. The breakfast pizza blew it out of the water. I'm a southern breakfast gravy fan but can get picky and this was crazy delicious. It was also plentiful but I think I'd easily ask for extra gravy next time cause it's just that good. The crust was nice. Crunchy but not TOO thin. I will absolutely get it again. The deep dish was good. It could have been deeper and have been more melted but that could just been a sacrifice of delivery since it had time to cool. The sauce is a little spicy which was different for a pizza sauce but still good. I'd probably get it again but the breakfast pizza wins by far!! read more

We got delivery from the new Crescent Springs location and, OMG, it was amazing! The pizza arrived at our house 20 minutes ahead of schedule, it was fully cooked and hot, and the driver was nice. The pizza itself was amazing - soft, yummy crust; bright and delicious sauce; and crispy pepperoni. Overall, the best pizza I've had in a long time and a clear pick over chain places. Used to be our favorite pizza in the area. Staffing issues, Ownership change, and (maybe) inflation seem to have cause them to be way more inconsistent with what used to be, high quality pizza. In have eaten from Poseidon's a few times now, trying a variety of menu items. My family likes their sandwiches. I like that it is not a big chain. The normal pizza is pretty good with a generous amount of toppings. My last order was a deep dish Chicago style. If had steamed up in the box and was somewhat wet all over the crust. During delivery this pizza had slid to one side of the box, almost ruined, squashed and misshapen. First time customers with high expectations given FB reviews. We were not disappointed at all.
