This is a fantastic Marriott located minutes from downtown AND the airport. The service is fantastic, from the front desk to the housekeeping, everyone is incredibly polite and helpful. Behind the bar, you can count on Fitz (Fitzroy), what an amazing gentleman, bartender, and server. Great service every night I was there, very friendly and engaging. Made it awesome! Shout out to Winston too, he made a great martini. Food was good; the Rueben was amazing, like seriously, very zesty Russian dressing on it really made set it apart, tender corned beef. Crab cake was good too, not great though. Didn't get to use the pool or gym while I was there, under repair, so that was a bummer, but didn't have a whole lot of time to anyway. Highly recommend though, I will definitely be back. Again, wicked close to the airport (obviously) but you can get downtown BAL in 20 minutes from here, it's perfect! read more

What's long and flat and sucks? The Shark-Ninja Under-Appliance Vacuum wand comes to mind, but I'm talking about the pillows in this BWI Airport Marriott. Man... the are some of the worst and the fact they actually use king pillows in the king room make it worse. I had them stacked like a 3x3 from In and Out burger and my head was still close to the mattress with the pillows curling up to cover my ears... terrible. Despite Pillowgate, this hotel was pretty good. They have a decent restaurant/bar in the lobby, a concierge lounge for Platinum and up members, and a hotel shuttle. The lounge had breakfast and evening snacks which was nice. And coffee, water, and soda pop all day long (till they close at 10p). The bed was comfortable and the shower felt like someone put a grate on a fire hydrant, which was a refreshing change from the trickle I've experienced. in many hotel... and the showers in those hotels was weak too. I'd stay here again if I needed to be close to BWI. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice, although not the most modern. I'd make this 5 stars if they had better pillows! read more

The people were fabulous, the food was tasty, the bar service was good but the rooms were a bit tired. This property seems a bit dated and simply misses the mark a bit with room quality/comfort. In addition to needing a refresh, there were little things that were just small annoyances...there was no trash can in the bathroom, the door lock required you to manually push it back in...those sorts of things. It is very convenient to the airport and the shuttle drop off worked well. I likely will stay there again simply because it is so convenient. read more

I picked this hotel because it advertises as an airport hotel with shuttle service; I arrived for a 7 am shuttle only to have the driver not allow me into the van (there was a passenger seat available ) or consider making room. the next shuttle service was 7:30 am- I asked the front desk to assist or to take $10 off my reservation for my cost of the uber and they refused: I won't be staying here again . read more

The hotel is a solid 3.0. The WiFi took forever and my hotel room door malfunctions. The room is large and has a big bathroom and shower. No ice maker on top floor. Definitely not the best, but my experience here this time was just okay. Room was comfortable, though it had an in room heat/air unit with controls vs a an HVAC thermostat. Looked like there used to be one on the wall where a metal square was there now. Didn't end up utilizing the M club except for maybe some water due to being there either after the main hours were done or too early. So glad for 24 hr access though. I was super parched and was able to get some water. Staff checking in was nice but when checking out the person was a bit rough. She had an attitude about me wanting to check out. Apparently I disturbed her doing whatever she was doing in the back area. She said I already was checked out. She spent all morning doing that for everyone leaving today. That is weird. If that is true, what happens if someone's plans change and they stay another night? What do the others do when I have checked out every other time? Just pretend to click on keys? I will stay somewhere else the next time I am in this area. read more

Let me preface this by saying our stay at the BWI Marriott in Linthicum, MD was only for one night as part of a layover on an ongoing trip. Overall, the customer service was great--everyone we interacted with was pleasant and professional. That said, we did encounter two issues during our short stay. The first was with our room door handle. After scanning the key card, the light would turn green, but it took noticeable force to actually open the door. While not a major issue for a one-night stay, it was still a bit frustrating. The second issue was more disappointing. We planned to use the pool at 10 a.m. on Sunday, only to find it completely occupied by a toddler swim class. It appears a swim company uses the hotel's pool for lessons. This is something that should have been communicated--if not on the website, then at least at check-in. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was pool access, and we would have planned differently had we known. Overall, the Marriott delivered solid service and a comfortable stay, but better communication about pool availability would make the experience much smoother for future guests. read more

I used the Airport Parking offered. Horrible experience. When you leave your vehicle, they tag the vehicle with a bright pink sign saying when you return. I parked under a light and when I returned from my trip, my car's catalytic converter had been stolen. $4900 in damage, plus a 2 hr tow at $1000 and I had to get a rental during repair. The security guards patrol the area every two hours, no cameras, and claim no liability. read more

The staff is very kind and helpful. My room is spacious and clean. The bar has a nice selection of wines at a reasonable price and the sweet potato fries are delicious. Breakfast comes with some reservations - others need to pay about 22.00 for what looks to be a lovely buffet. I chose to simply have some cereal and fruit from the Starbucks in the lobby. On the second day I got back to the hotel at 10:00pm to find my room had not been cleaned - - ugh - - I was upset. The manager on duty was as nice as she could be and offered me more reward points for the inconvenience but that did not satisfy me. This is an expensive hotel and I was expecting a freshly made bed, coffee refilled and new towels. She did bring me some extra water and some more of the absolutely fabulous make up remover wipes (I need to find these in a retail store) and she said she will tell the day manager in the morning to see about a rate discount - Additionally, when I tried to take a shower I found that the shower didn't work. No water would come out of the shower head so I had to use just the tub. I spoke to another manager who was also very kind and offered me a room discount and keys to the concierge lounge. The lounge was lovely and I enjoyed snacks/dinner and drinks, The shower was fixed. Overall, I thought this was a lovely place to stay. The problems that I encountered were all addressed and fixed. The breakfast buffet was marvelous. There's no better way to spend a quiet weekend morning with friends and family.

My sister and I stayed here while in town for a wedding. Great location and not too far from the airport. They even have a shuttle available to and and from airport. We enjoyed our time here and the service was great. I do want to give a special shout out to Mary in the dining area. She was so sweet! She offered to pour my coffee and gave me directions as to where items were placed on my table as she saw that I was alone while my sister was getting some stuff at the buffet area. I truly appreciated her awareness to my circumstances and she just really helped me to feel welcomed and understood especially for the morning rush. They have a great lobby bar & restaurant where we enjoyed nightly drinks and snacks. We would gladly stay here again if we come back to Baltimore. read more

This is a very good hotel, located just over a mile from BWI airport. The hotel is extremely clean and has a lot on the premises. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant, and the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff were extremely friendly at check-in and check-out. The only drawback was I wanted to use the pool in the morning before departing, but they had swim classes going on at the hotel pool for approximately two hours, and I wasn't able to swim. Overall, it's a good hotel, especially if you need to get to and from BWI airport. read more

This review is for the hotel bar specifically! The hotel was great but the waitress Tsige was absolutely a gem! I came in with a ruptured Achilles and all I wanted was an expresso Martini. I asked her if I could get one and she explained to me that she was not a bartender so I was so sad. I sat down in disappointment but as I was sitting there Tsige found the expresso martini recipe and made it for me. When I say she made my entire day I mean that!! My mom joined me and we both ate at the bar Tsige had amazing stories about back home and my 3 expresso martinis made me one happy girl! My friend and I recently stayed here with our kids over the Memorial Day weekend. While there were no egregious errors, the visit itself was less than stellar. The hotel was absolutely packed due to a wedding and the holiday weekend. Didn't mind that, but I did mind that 80% of the guests didn't wear masks, or wore them improperly, despite the numerous signs indicating that masks had to be worn covering the nose and mouth in all public areas. The staff didn't seem to enforce this, either. The room was so tiny that the furniture was literally shoved next to the beds with no walking space on both sides. The room barely had enough towels for the # of people it should accommodate, and due to COVID, no room service was available unless explicitly requested. The area behind the beds was completely filled with dust, and there even an old toothpick. Ugh. While I am glad there was an indoor, heated pool, the pool and the pool area itself is in massive need of cleaning and updating. The water was so murky that you couldn't see your feet. The smell of the chlorine was overwhelming and took multiple showers to get out of my hair and skin. There were visible mold markings in every crevice, including the horrid styrofoam "decor" lining the pool. I can't believe I even went in it now that I am reading that. The Starbucks inside never seems to be open. I tried both in the morning and in the afternoon, and both times, I was met with a surly "we are not open" from the bartender and/or employee. Nice customer service. For $150/night, stay elsewhere. There are tons of hotels in this area, and Marriott doesn't deserve your hard earned money if they aren't going to do the bare minimum to ensure you have a pleasant stay. read more

So there were a number of things that just didn't like. One or two things I can let go but more than that just isn't right. 1. Checked my bathroom and I thought there was a bug crawling on the picture above the toilet. Well it wasn't crawling it was dead smashed into the picture. 2. Checked the beds and there was a pure leaf drink and a sticker left in between the nightstand and bed. 3. The rooms were not clean, hair was on my soap dish and all in the shower. Others people hair being left behind makes my skin crawl. 4. There were no wash cloths to shower. 5. Restaurant rang my order up wrong and brought me the wrong food. Definitely not the Marriott quality we've been used to for 20 years, we understand things happen, but the staff needs to correct rather than ignore. We did not get our upgrade as a gold member even though they were available and were told it needed to be done at time of reservation, which is definitely the opposite of what Marriott does, upgrades for elite members needs to be done at check-in, if available, The room was very old with Staiined carpet, slight tears on the linens and bathroom, very outdated, and not as clean, we have stayed at many Marriott brands in this area for half the price that are much nicer, Sorry Marriott, we don't complain much, but we had to post. read more

On arrival I was able to check in early which I am appreciative of. I asked for a complimentary upgrade and was told basically no because she had to wait until Platinum members checked in to see if they wanted one. For reference, I was just demoted to Gold early March from Platinum status. I will have Platinum status back by the first week of April because of my stays by then. I was really made to feel like an unappreciated guest upon check in. I was not thanked for my membership level. I was not told of anything given to me while there. I guess as Gold I get nothing and am nothing. I asked for new bedding twice. No one ever came to my room...I went down and asked again...that was ignored. I was back and forth to the airport, 3 of the days the shuttle was 30-45 minutes late picking me up to take me back to the hotel. Each time I called so that they knew my need and my location, (which was the mandatory spot according to them). One day I was picked up by their competitor, the final late time I had to take a taxi. I was reimbursed, but the that did not account for the wait. Ready for more? One morning I called down to ask if I had received a package, as no one contacted me the day before. I was transferred to lost prevention...the guy placed me on hold and left me there for almost 10 minutes. I called back and was asked for my room and name by a female and stated the guy left...wow...she also wanted to know what I was looking for...a package with my name on it...wow...she also stated she would bring it to my room to make it right...wow. I also had heating issues. When maintenance came up he was unfamiliar with the unit, had to go get help. They offered to move my room but I refused because I didn't trust someone would help me and give me what I needed for a clean new room. It took them way longer to get my room together. For my inconvenience, I was given 5k points...wow, what an embarrassment. On top of that when they left a manager called my room to talk about my initial email complaint. Never asked if it was a good time, just started talking. But all in all an extra 5k points was given...wow...terrible. I spoke with Dwayne Skeete, just to reiterate the emails I sent for nothing. Michael Hinshaw wanted to meet but at his convenience. I told him when I could and because I had spoken to Dwayne he stated safe travels. They both felt like this was good as it will help with training and development. But never once looked at what it could do for reviews or my next stay there. Think twice before going there, it will be a horrible experience. read more

Baltimore was nowhere on our horizon. We were headed to Boston. Baltimore was only a quick 30 min stop to unload passengers on our flight and load new passengers, but that quick stop ended up being more than a 6-hour saga, and our flight ended up being canceled. Our baggage, however, ended up going to Boston, lol. We had to scramble to find a hotel, and Marriott is always our first choice. Grateful for the shuttle pickup from the hotel and the warm welcome we received from the front desk staff. When we told her what had happened, she gave us toothbrushes and toothpaste. Our room is nice and clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The Concierge lounge was well stocked with snacks when we arrived and had plenty of appetizers during the cocktail hour. The lady at the lounge was so kind to my toddlers. She even gave them coloring pages and crayons. We are grateful to this beautiful hotel and its lovely staff for the care they took when we needed it most. Thank you. read more

Used points to be abused I reserved a king room but they tried to give two double beds. No thank you. I want the style I paid for Go to the room to wash my hands and the soap is knocked out of my hands by brown sludge. I go downstairs with pictures. "Oh that should clear up soon". There was a water main break. There is normally a boil order for 24 hours after a water main break for a reason!!!!! The front desk thought it was just fine. Thanks Ms Brandy but I prefer not to have a side of diarrhea with my shower. I used the water bottle I brought with me to brush my teeth and wash my hands. Didn't even get my morning tea since I didn't think the coffee maker would boil water for 5 minutes. No shower either since I would be traveling the next 8 hours and didn't want to be sick. read more

I stayed here for a conference, and the stay was perfect. The hotel room was very clean upon arrival. I go through my usual routine of walking through the room and bathroom pulling back the comforter, sheets, etc; everything was spotless. The decor of the room is simple yet modern. The bed and pillows are super comfortable and fluffy. I had a really good night's sleep. I stayed on the 9th floor at the far end closest to the airport. At first, I thought that someone was rolling a large cart on the floor above me. Then, I remembered how close we were to the airport. Yet when I talked to my colleague staying on a different floor and side of the hotel, he said that he didn't hear anything. So be advised that staying towards the 39-room side of the hotel, you will hear planes taking off/landing. But I quickly grew accustomed to it. The conference spaces were spacious and plentiful in a different wing of the hotel. One of my favorite features of this hotel is the elevator, because as it ascends, a view of outside appears. Now the view isn't much (another hotel and airport parking), but the feature is cool. I wish more hotels with better views had it. read more

I will not be returning to this hotel. As a former Titanium Platinum status member and current platinum elite, I have stayed at quite a few hotels around the world. This is a standard Marriott for rooms. I was located on the 10 floor and the room was adequate. It had a tub, nice bed, tv, and quiet atmosphere. The negatives were mainly focused on the pool. We went down to the pool to enjoy a nice hot tub and swim and were quickly deterred. 1) there was a "British Swim School" taking up the pool with a kids swim class. The hot tub shown in the hotel pictures does not exist and renovations look completely different than the pictures. The pool smelled of major chlorine and was very murky. I have many more options for staying at hotels in this area and this will be at the bottom of the list. read more

This Marriott has clearly seen better days, but it's still hanging on strong. The staff is helpful and they've kept the hotel well-maintained. I had a maintenance issue with the room, but it was fixed within hours of letting the front desk know. Sad there isn't a hot tub, but the workout room is large and open 24 hrs. read more

Having missed our connection in Baltimore, so we were stuck for the night. I used the Marriott app to book a room and arrived within 45 minutes. Room was clean, etc. (I mean, I hope it would be at this price.) In no way was this a "cheap" room or rate. While checking in, the clerk mentioned breakfast and coffee downstairs. They even let us purchase two drinks from the bar, which seemed closed, already. We got up the next morning, went downstairs and had breakfast. Most Marriotts I stay at have some sort of breakfast included. Even if just fruit and coffee. There was no signage of any type saying anything different. No price, no menu, nothing. The hostess seated us and pointed us towards the buffet. The hostess brought a check and I asked if it was included. She went to verify and told us, "no." It was only then we found out the buffet is almost $20 a person! While checking out, the clerk, also said our breakfast was not included. She said since I booked on the app, breakfast wasn't included. There was no option or rate listed as a "breakfast" rate. Not only did she refuse to waive the fee, her attitude was borderline condescending. Very unprofessional. So let's review - I have Silver status, I paid almost $200 for a room, and we can't even get breakfast? Much less a buffet which was nowhere worth $20 a person. As far as using the app, Marriott URGES customers to use the app - now you don't want us to use the app? As we waited for the shuttle, we watched the clerk interact with other customers. It is clear to me through tone of voice, body language, etc., some customers are more valued than others at this property. She gave plenty of perks to other customers, but not us or others I emailed Marriott corporate, who merely passed the email to this particular hotel. I got a vague response of, " I apologize that you were unhappy with your stay. We do have some rates that include breakfast , but this is not offered at all times. The staff will be coached on better ways to provide guest with information at check in. Also the AGM will have a meeting with (name) with better ways to be more professional and courteous while dealing with guest." So, they removed nothing. Didn't lift the charges. And just have some fluffy response with nothing substantial. Then they sent me a survey of how they handled my complaint! Avoid this place. read more

As a result of their past failure to honor our reservation for a Wheelchair accessible room and doing nothing to address the problem other than giving us a small amount of points good for the partial payment of one nights stay in the future we are not attending the convention we have been regularly attending this year. If you have a disability avoid this property as they may not meet your needs. read more

A pretty typical Marriott, nothing above and beyond what you would expect out of an Marriott. Nice lobby bar and a well equipped gym with free weights. Rooms were good - I only stayed one night so I can't comment on the housekeeping. Breakfast definitely left something to be desired. The only option was a buffet and the selection was slim. I like this hotel. Just because of the really nice lobby area. Its very pretty, its smells very nice and the staff is very good. My room is just like any other room. A bed, some night stands with lamp shades. A mirror that looks out into the next hotel. Theres also a swivel chair and a desk, that's if I wanna do some work. Or if I want, I could lay down on the bed and watch television til I pass out. Theres also a closet, that's when I wanna hang my clothes to wear for work the next day. My bathroom is complete. Theres a tub and a shower combination. Theres also a toilet that flushes. A sink and faucet with a giant mirror in front of it. Anyways, I have never had a bad experience in this hotel. Middle of the night there was a rapid tapping on the door which woke me up. Before I could realize what was going on, someone was opening the door! It was the night manager. My daughter had just been through a traumatic experience so I paid for a nicer hotel so she would be sure to to get a good night sleep before her travel. She was unable to get back to sleep for many hours afterwards and had to get up at 4:30am. I spoke with the Global Manager, K'mar Russell, the next morning. I was rushing and sleep deprived so I did not have the energy to request a refund at the time. He said to contact him via email if I had further concerns. Pros: Beautiful decor in the front lobby and aesthetically pleasing to the guests. The bar in the front lobby was very alluring. The rooms was very clean. The rooms have a rainfall shower feature. The elevator ride has a pretty decent view of the area. Close to both I-295 and BWI Airport. Cons: The room doors are paper thin and you can hear everyone's conversation in the hallway. The toilet is not in a centered location in the bathroom, meaning too much leg room on one side and not enough on the other side. The restaurant attached to the hotel is okay for drinks, but not so good with food and service. read more

What. The. Hell. BWI Airport Marriott is the worst airport hotel I have ever stayed in! This is saying a lot because I have stayed at some sketchy airport hotels overseas. First, the bathroom toilet was overflowing when we entered the room. We asked to switch rooms but they said they were "nearing capacity". Whatever. Second, my wife and I had to grab a shuttle at 4:40 am, but beginning at 2:00 am, NOISE! Drunk people screaming in the hallway, banging on walls, kicking trash cans, and so forth. This went on till 4:00 am! Third, the walls are paper-thin. There is no noise isolation in your room, so be prepared to hear everything next door. Last, the hotel staff just doesn't care. We called the front desk about the noise issue a myriad of times and they just shrug. Please, save yourself the money and go someplace else. read more

This use to be a nice hotel. Now they hired a bunch of lazy staff member who really don't care about customer service. I stayed there 2 weeks ago and I called down to the front desk and spoke to a young man and asked for a 3:30am wake up call. If my son and I didn't set our phones we would have missed our 6:15am flight. When I spoke to the woman in the morning, she took it as not a big deal. Also, I forgot my wallet in the room, so I had to come back 30 minutes and get it. I call the hotel and they had me on hold for 30 minutes until I actually arrived back at the hotel. The front desk person said we must have gotten disconnected but my phone was on hold the entire time. Point is, she had no ideal how to work the phones. Only good thing they found my wallet. The final kicker is another front desk person kept making a joke that it would cost me 100.00 to get my wallet back and when I got down the highway and checked my wallet on the side department where I always keep 100.00 as extra money, it was missing. This is not Marriott standard that I have been use to for almost 30 years. I think next year I'm going to try out Hilton properties. read more

Joke of a hotel. Arrived at 1 am and had told them this but when we arrived no rooms??? We were not the only people having this problem (literally there was 4 other groups having this same issue of having reservations but no rooms available) Also had only one lady trying to check in everyone even though there was literally two other workers standing by? Been to a lot of hotels (ones that were also much cheaper) but this is by far the worst one I have been to. Would give negative stars if I could. Edit: they claimed that they were trying to find us a hotel to go to for over an hour. We called the Holiday Inn and got a room in 30 seconds. Not sure what they were doing but it was definitely not trying to find us a room. Feel terrible for the people left in the waiting room because the workers are clearly not doing anything to solve the problem. read more
