Great location- downtown Baltimore!! We were there for a Jack and Jill National Convention. Check in was a breeze Thanks to Digital Key. The lobby was packed with families checking in -in addition to waiting for the bell hop. Our room was on the 10th floor. We had a view of the baseball field(room 1019). The view was the outfield. Next time we will choose a room on the higher end 1030+ for a view of the stadium to see home plate. The hotel is adjacent to the Convention Center connected by a walking bridge. Conference rooms were comfortable and spacious, food was great , escalators were always working!!! read more

I think the photos are a bit misleading. This hotel is definitely a bit worn down and in need of an update. The location is good and has great restaurants around the area (highly recommend the Kneads brunch location across the street, just make sure you make a reservation beforehand.) The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Parking is a pain. To the best of my understanding you need to valet as there's little parking in the area and street parking (unless you're REALLY on top of it) will guarantee you a pricey ticket that will make valet feel cheap. read more

Beware...no hot water when hotel is fully booked. Stayed this past Saturday (3/28/2026) night and liked the hotel very much. Had a nice King/sofabed room, which was clean, nicely appointed, and the location is great. Room was on the 10th Floor so the noise level from the street was minimal. When I went to take a shower in the morning, there was zero hot water. I let it run for 10 minutes, and still no hot water. I called down to the desk and was told yes, when fully booked like the hotel was that night, there's not enough hot water in the hotel. I was told to wait a while before taking a shower. Unacceptable to me that a hotel doesn't have the capacity for hot water when the hotel is full. When I complained again when checking out, I was told "the manager is in today. I'll tell her and maybe she'll give you a few HHonors points." Huh? read more

Dated hotel with a great vibe thanks to the location and great staff!! First time here and I was glad I chose this hotel to stay in while I was up here with my buddy who was having surgery at John's Hopkins Hospital. We both stayed the first night then I stayed for an additional three nights while he was still in the hospital. Rooms clean and comfy, good Internet, refrigerator microwave and Keurig coffee maker in the room. My view was of the courtyard on the 8th floor which is just like a park it's really nice.. I took some great pictures from that level. Food was great at the restaurant/bar.. have a strawberry Hennessy.. it will change your life. All staff I came in contact with were very personable and customer oriented. I will be back with the wife next time.. read more

Do I recommend this Hilton location? NO. Let's talk about why (FYI-this is a long review). Arrival to the hotel was interesting. I noticed there was a gentleman with a roll of carpet blocking a portion of the hotel entryway. I thought this was interesting off the bat. I later found out that the ground level of the hotel was receiving a full carpet installation, which made for interesting instructions on how to get to our rooms. The valet attendant was pleasant and helpful. The check in process seemed to go smoothly, but there is more to this short stay. Upon entry to my room, I immediately noticed that my room was near a door that had a no re-entry sign on it. I did not care for the location of my room. The room was overall clean. I did notice that the wallpaper is peeling like fruit roll ups, there was a red stain on the headboard, and the pillows were different sizes and probably couldn't hold an egg up (two of the pillows were standard sized and the two on the bottom were the size of an airplane pillow. It was strategic how the pillows were placed-see pics). The decor was a bit mismatch (different lamps, etc) if you are someone that focuses on those things. I was locked out of my room within the first hour of my stay. This is where I went into What would Olivia Benson do? mode. Dun-Dun. One of my teammates had already had maintenance walk into her room and another one was locked out of her room as well. I went back downstairs, got a new key, and returned to the room. I found that the Do Not Disturb sign that I left on the handle of the door was now in front of the bathroom. Dun-Dun. My team assembled to discuss what had been going on since check in. Another teammate asked to have her sheets changed due to that stains (that never happened) and another was brought an Ethernet cord (you read that correctly) because she was told the internet is spotty above the 7th floor. We decided to change hotels. Upon check out, I learned that I was never checked into the room that I was given a key to. I was also not checked in on the Hilton app. I was told that the system had me in a room two floors up. None of this made sense to me. It was all too much and it didn't sit well with me. I will say that the Front Desk Manager, at our time of check out, was friendly and understanding. The verdict-Don't stay here! Do your research beforehand. Hotel did not inform us that water would be unavailable until after we had already paid - no discount for not having essentials like a shower or sink! Water was to be secured first thing in the morning - during the time when normal people get up and ready to go. It was a *scheduled* outage as well. If my card had not already been charged, I would have cancelled my stay. Unlikely to choose a Hilton in the future given any other options as a result of the abominable service. read more

I would not recommend. The place needs a make-over, remodel or something. Every single piece of furniture looks dated, tired and over-used. I should have taken photos, but there were huge chunks out of the console in our room, skewed lampshades, something weird going on with the carpet... it was squishy in some areas... and the bathroom had peeling wallpaper and a wooden framed mirror that definitely had some names carved into it that were furniture polished over. The bed and the bathroom did appear clean, I will say that, but the place has seen better days -- there were SEVERAL holes in the sheets. And the $17.00 buffet for breakfast... don't bother... half of the stuff is served for free in the buffet on the other side for the Homewood Suites (either sneak over there) or go out for breakfast. Hotel staff were pleasant and I didn't feel unsafe, which I noticed was a trend with some of the reviews. I just felt it was an expensive stay for what has delipidated into a 2-star (maybe...) hotel. ALSO... They will no longer have valet parking at of May 1st. The garage is around back and I think, hard to find, so just be aware of that if you are looking to stay here. read more

Some colleagues and I were supposed to stay for three nights but ended up checking in and out the same day. Upon arrival, the lobby was under construction so it was difficult getting to the floor your room was on. My original room was on floor 12 and the internet did not have good connection that high. If I did not need to work remotely, it wouldn't have been a big problem. Ended up having to switch to floor four but did not stay for long. My colleague experienced someone trying to enter her room while she was in it and another colleague did not officially get checked in so after our dinner she noticed things in her room had been moved. The sketchiness of the hotel was not okay for females to wander around the hotel alone. Confirmed with the front desk that my colleague was in fact not checked in fully so her room showed as being available and other guests had enter the room but left when they noticed her belongings. I would just say be very cautious of your surroundings, it was four females in my group and our rooms were all at the ends of the hall or near stairwells. The hotel needs an overall remodel in the rooms, wallpaper was peeling, some rooms had multiple different lamps on the end tables that did not match, paint patches on the walls and the beds had lots of hair. This hotel is not to be confused with Hilton Inner Harbor next to Camden Yards which is actually wonderful, but sold out the week I was in Baltimore. Unfortunately this Hilton Garden Inn needs a lot of work. Where to start? 1. No valet and no signage out front letting people know. You have to self park around the block. 2. Carpet in the room is filthy as mentioned in other reviews. Stains galore including what might have been blood stains in a higher floor room. 3 Closet door would not open, was afraid to put too much force since it's a mirror but basically wasn't able to use the iron because of it. 4. Furniture is old, worn and looks dusty. 5. Wallpaper peeling off. 6. Sheets and pillows had holes, and were a little yellow. The positives? Location is amazing! Lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. There's a Starbucks in the lobby. WiFi works perfect. Staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating as can be. read more

I stayed one night here. I checked in around 11:30pm and checkout the next day around 10am. Upon check in, it was a breeze. I used the app to check in and get my digital key. The downside is that I could not get in the front door with that key because I guess I needed to confirm my check in. I never seem to receive my waters or treats when checking in. Not only this place but many other Hilton hotels do not recognize their tier you are in. I feel weird asking for my water. I do love knowing that I have an option to get a water. The hotel was very clean. The staff in the morning 10/28 were fantastic!!! The female working the breakfast area was on top of it. She even checked on us at our table from time to time. The front desk was also the same. The hotel was very clean, including the room. It was conveniently located for the needs I was there for... a funeral. Awesome location if you want to be close to the ballpark and the convention center. Massive lobby with decent bar. We had a room on 20th floor overlooking the ballpark, super awesome! Ate a late snack after a game at the hotel restaurant, the burger and wings were really good. Try the DC Mambo sauce on the wings- sticky sweet and the wings were really meaty and hot temperatures. The burger was juicy and freshly grilled. Our server at dinner wasn't the warmest, I never got my water refilled and daughter wanted a refill on lemonade but she never brought it. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and was really good. It is expensive $24 a person however kids 12 and under are free. Also if you are a hilton member, you do have a food and beverage credit to use so that helps. We ate enough that no lunch will be needed. Our room was clean and again, the view was fantastic. I did think it was slightly needing some attention. There was blue tape on the bottom of bathroom tile, holding it on. Our toilet needed extra flushing and a pillow case was stained. Nothing horrible and wouldn't make me not stay here but when paying $300 a night, I need to be picky. read more

Location: Great location for what I'm doing here. It feels safe enough walking around. Pretty close to Fell's Point, Little Italy, Inner Harbor. I didn't venture too far since I didn't have a car. They have Starbucks, Sephora, CVS, and Haagan Daz around the corner. Service: We had to check in at 2am due to flight delays. The front staff was super welcoming and friendly. First time encountering such friendly staff at midnight lol. We were given bottled water upon check in. Room: Small bathroom. Shower stall had mold on the ground. They gave Neutrogena for shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, which is better than other hotels. They do have fridge & microwave in room so that is convenient. My room had a great view of the harbor. Breakfast: We had vouchers...it's basic breakfast Key Card: This was necessary for the elevators and ofc, the room. The cards were super glitchy though. We usually had to swipe at least 5 times for the sensor to accept the card. It was lowkey kind of fun trying to compete with the elevator to make sure we press the right floor before we get carried to another floor requested by new rider. It can be frustrating if you're in a hurry though. Same for the room door. The door is heavy too, so we had to barge in with full force every time we enter our room. Overall, room quality didn't feel like it matched the price, but it's still decent. The gym access was great. read more

I've stayed in this hotel both times I visited Baltimore! Pros: -- Staying in the hotel gives you access to the Maryland Athletic Club which is a full-service fitness facility! Towel service, large and airy, tons of work-out equipment, etc. Great if you're looking to keep your work-out up during your travels and don't want to do so in the stereotypical cramped hotel fitness center. This gym is legit. -- Great location. Starbucks connected to the hotel, Haagen Daz, CVS, Sephora, lots of fancy restaurants and shopping nearby. Inner Harbor area of Baltimore is pretty safe relatively -- I came into Baltimore after an overnight flight around 7am and was concerned I would have to wander around, groggy and tired, until my check-in time in the afternoon. They checked me in immediately, no questions asked! Very appreciated. -- Very reasonable prices given its location Cons: -- Rooms are small, hotel is not quite as new or as modern as some of the other (albeit pricier) options in the area -- Main reason for this 3 star review: They have some serious issues with their key cards not working on the elevator/your room door. You would think this is just a trivial thing but after a while it drove me insane. Had to go to the front desk 5+ times during my one-night stay because the key card they gave me stopped working (after one use) or never worked to begin with! One time I had to go back to the front desk 3x in a row because my key card wouldn't work in the elevator, even AFTER asking the front desk to "fix it"! Front desk lady said it "happens all the time" and it literally was indeed happening all the time during my stay. Pleasant stay. The room was not as clean as I would have liked. The floors had obviously never been vacuumed since I found wrappers and food crumbs leftover from previous guests. There was also a nice fly moving around our room enjoying the crumbs. Despite that, the linens and everything else was clean. The room layout was refreshing and had an awesome view. Staff was really attentive. They answered all our questions. The only that I would change is the fact that rooms aren't cleaned daily like in other hotels. They only send someone to clean your room if you stay longer than 7 days so you'll have to ask the clerk if you need more soap or shampoo or new towels. read more

I've stayed at a lot of Hiltons and there's is so much room for improvement at this location. First, they left the window in the room open for who knows how long, but it let in bugs and so much humidity it made everything in the room feel wet, which could have also been from the rain since it had been raining for the last few days. Even the wall paper was bubbling from the moisture. And not only was it very dirty with stains on the floor and walls throughout the room and whole hotel, but the staff never seemed to have any clue what they were doing. First they tried to check me into someone else's room that had additional charges, then when I asked questions about what I could apply my discounts to the answer was, "I don't know", and then they never applied any of my food and beverage credits. And when I called to get it fixed, they said they would have to have a manager call me back, which never happened. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

We were in town for a wedding and stayed here since this was what was recommended. We got here super early and wasn't expecting to be able to check in at 10am but they let us! Which was amazing since we took the redeye. I mean, sure one of the elevators didn't work very well but the room was clean and we had a great view of the harbor and the location was great! Front desk clerk was rude, she made a mistake coding our keys wrong and had an attitude with us. During a two night stay, the keys had to be recoded 8 times! Ridiculous! And no, we did not put the key by our phones! The key worked on the elevator, but not on the door of our room. The TV didn't work, we ran out of TP & tissues, there were fake eyelashes on my bed and there was a fire evacuation for a fault in the system! 3/5 sounds about right with this one, given I've stayed at Hilton for practically my entire life, and here's why: ~ Hotel / Ambiance / Service: The hotel at first didn't really appeal to me when I booked it; the reviews definitely didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. Both Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites are connected to one another. As I arrived, same thing happened to me as one reviewer mentioned who was a rewards member - need to ask for basically everything. Where's the setting within the app to allow the hotel to understand your preferences and then the staff to realize your benefits? Customer service seems to be dwindling no matter where you go. However, the people working there were friendly and helpful all throughout my stay. ~ Room: I can see how some reviewers construed the room to be dirty. In my room particular, it does look older in nature and there were a few stains on the carpet floor, a few long strings of hair on the bathroom floor, a few stains under the covers, and pen marks on the sheets. There is definitely quite a few things that need to be improve in the room. If you look at the Canopy hotel that's nearby, the room is way more modern and cleaner looking. With regard to the shower, Canopy had the same issue - what's with the floor tiles? It's seriously the worst feeling for your feet to stand on. Overall, the pressure and temperature was fine. I don't expect a lot with the Hilton Garden Inn hotels, but they are always clean, affordable and accessible. This is a new(er) hotel in the new Harbor East area. This has great views of the harbor, everything you need in the room, including microwaves, small refrigerators and the other features expected in these medium term, business hotels. Great views of the Baltimore Downtown Harbor area too! Not the most quiet part of town, but the windows are double-triple glazed and quiet. Very comfortable. But also a nice part of town, the newly renovated harbor east, close to Fells Point. Crawling distance from the Fells Point bars, not a bad walk from the Orioles and the Ravens stadiums too! Easy access to Johns Hopkins Hospital as well. Great pubs / bars / restaurants nearby...prime location! read more

I had no heat in my room the first night of three. Heat was "fixed" but could not be regulated, especially the carpets a ; it was either on or off. The room was dated. There were lots of holes in the walls, some probably from moving the TV but no attempt had been made to cover these. The shower was wonky; water temperature was difficult to control and necessitated several trips out of the shower to try to correct the problem. View of the East harbor was wonderful and that might be of interest Staff was often friendly and helpful within the parameters of what could and could not fixed. read more

So the hotel is no brand longer new but it is still very nice with great staff. It has all the location benefits of the Baltimore Harbor East neighborhood that is adjacent to historic Fells Point, Little Italy, the Inner Harbor and a water taxi station to go to Canton/ Brewers Hill or Federal Hill / Locust Point. The Four Seasons is next door if that helps give an indication of how great the area is. After staying in hotels all summer where the A/C was capped at 73 it was nice to finally stay somewhere where you could set the A/C closer to 70 and cool off. Also the Irish pub across the street James Joyce was renovated and re- opens end of September 2022. read more

A modern 12-story hotel, this Hilton Garden Inn shares a lobby and structure with the adjacent Homewood Suites. If you get rooms on the front side of the building, there's a slight water view between the taller buildings along the water (which is a block away). The big draw is it's so very convenient to all the attractions of Harbor East (some of the best spots in along the Baltimore harbor), as well as an easy walk or short Uber to Fells Point (excellent) and the more tourist-oriented Inner Harbor. Lots of good eats and drinks. If deciding between this property and the Homewood suites, keep in mind Homewood has bigger rooms and breakfast is included. (breakfast included at Garden Inn if you're Hilton Gold/Diamond) My top-story room was comfortable, clean, not overly large, but had a nice view with an extra corner angle providing more glass than usual. My only quibbles were the covers provided were a little thin for a cold-snap in the dead of winter, and the room-darkening blinds didn't extend behind the corner pillar, leaving gaps around that window corner, that would be unfortunately bright if it had been summer. Nice hotel. Restaurant experience was the worst. The server had trouble bringing water. After we ordered, ten minutes later, she came back and apologized since they didn't have a fish sandwich. I ordered a chicken sandwich. She then said our appetizer would be right out. After a half hour, I still hadn't gotten a glass of water. I got it myself. After an hour, she said the food would be out. All of it at the same time. I told her I didn't want the appetizer anymore. She looked sad and said they only had one chef on. She then brought my wife's dinner. As my wife was about to finish her dinner, I got mine. Get back to the room, and the thermostat is reading 66 degrees. There are no instructions on the phone about how to call the front desk. Only instructions about how to make a local or long-distance call. Who the hell is doing that in 2023? We go to the front desk to tell them about the situation. Front desk calls right away. It's been about an hour now. read more

Stayed here for a work conference. King size room was sizeable. Wednesday evening as i was leaving, i was offered a free wine sample and free cheese to go :) Valet was exceptional! Hilton Garden Inn is located in the heart of the Inner Harbor and about 15 minutes away from the Greyhound bus terminal if using public transportation. The cab ride is roughly $14 with tips depending on traffic. Just a lovely and clean hotel with friendly staff and convenient to pretty much everything within the Inner Harbor. We had a beautiful view from our room and totally love their beds....super comfy... There is a bar/restaurant on the second floor in the hotel in case you want to grab a bite. However, keep in mind there are lots of restaurants walking distance, a movie theater and Starbuck next door as well. Highly recommended if planning to stay within the Inner Harbor. read more

People are always too hard on hotel reviews. I'm always looking for a safe, clean hotel room. Unfortunately I'm forced to give my lowest hotel review ever. Smallest room I've ever stayed in, which is fine. I understand it's a highly desirable location and it's not the usual room off the interstate. The room wasn't clean. The bathroom fan didn't work. The elevator card reader didn't work for anyone. Parking is $25/ night. Very safe location, front desk seemed nice enough, but I will not return. read more

Great hotel, ideal location, plus a beyond fantastic fitness area. I stayed here for 2 nights in March - and the room was more than comfortable. The beds felt slightly smaller than the advertised Queen (personally felt like a full), but they were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The towels were fluffy enough and the products in the bathroom are Neutrogena - always a plus when its a demosensitive brand! The room had plenty of space, and I was sharing it with a couple girls - enough space for us all to have a corner and drop our stuff! The bathroom was small but efficient - and clean, so no complaints! The best part - I brought gym clothing, expecting to sweat it out on one of the 3 available treadmills in the "fitness center" - but to my surprise, the gym was beyond my wildest expectations. It had a lap pool, at least 15-20 treadmills, bikes, cardio areas, weights, resistance weight training machines, and plenty of televisions and mirrors. There were smaller rooms which appeared to be yoga rooms/or barre areas (I didn't check it out). There was even a smoothie bar for post-workout sustenance; I didn't bring my wallet with me, but as I was walking out and they happened to be sampling blueberry-banana shake so I got to give them a try - it was super yummy!! read more

I asked for a different room - none available - he would call me when the room was ready - but couldn't say if that would be minutes or hours. No offer of any compensation- not even would you like to check your luggage. As a diamond member for 10 years I was really disappointed.
