I even founded and ran my own rescue organization many years ago (Tails of Love), and my focus was rescuing the dogs who were dumped and then overlooked by adopters and other rescues (DOGS: Discarded and Overlooked Get Saved). Now I have a gifted child who is also neurodivergent and has significant sensory processing issues, OCD, and accompanying severe anxiety. I needed an "ideal" dog to train as a service dog, and since he will eventually be in school with her for many years, he has to be a low-shedding breed. I looked and looked in my networks and couldn't find a suitable candidate. I finally turned to RW&D, and I cannot find the words to adequately express what a dream our whole experience has been!!! Our tiny puppy is perfect, and already great with the potty training. We can't wait to start our service dog training when little Griffin (formerly San Luis Obispo from the Surf's Up litter) is old enough. I still believe wholeheartedly in adopting from shelters or rescues, but this experience opened my mind. Sometimes there's a need to buy, and if you are going that route, do not look further. Even if you have to wait, it's worth it! Hillarie and Warren are amazing. Take it from me. I rail and rage against the endless backyard breeders, and I can confidently state that this is not a backyard breeder. This is ethical, extremely conscientious and passionate breeding!

The issue is they aren't relaying my problem to corporate. I get Purina Pro Plan for my dog. I have attempted to come to this store for about 1 year now to get this item. The first time I noticed there were these worms attached to the inside seams of the bag. Somehow worms got inside the food as well. This was my first experience here. I told management about it. So now on occasion I come in and literally check the bags to see if they still have worms attached to them and every time I have come the worms are on all the dog food bags for Purina Pro Plan 30/20. I have told the person's at the register about 6 times now about it. This tells me someone either doesn't care or they are accepting that this is how it is. They tell me it's always been this way for that brand. But guess what!?!? Why at PetSmart that sells the same food not have the same issue? Never have I got worms on the bag or in the bag at PetSmart. Anyways, this needs to be fixed. Someone isn't doing their job and just accepting low quality items. When you set your standards low in life you get what you get, which is a loss of customers. Why not find a different place to buy from like PetSmart does? They never have any issues, why does PetCo? They are just irresistible and we decided another one would complete our household. We weren't wrong. She did not want to answer questions,…read morewas incredibly rude, and showed no concern or help with our newly diagnosed dog who has diabetes. If you asked a question she became irate and raised her voice. She spoke quickly and did not clarify anything. We are 60 and need to give our dog shots twice a day with multiple other things to do. It required more than a 4 minute conversation for his care. Some people are not cut out to be a Vet. Avoid at all costs.

The staff were fantastic and asked if I needed help at least three times in my 25 minutes in the shop. It wasn't at all annoying because they were so genuine and I appreciated it! I hopped in there for some frontline meds (20-something Bux?) and left with 150$ worth of snacks brushes and toothpaste. Will return soon!
