VICTORIA GAVE US A KITTEN VACCINATION PASSPORT saying she was vaccinated for Panleukopenia. Thousands in vet bills later and our kitten is on death's door and may not make it. Also, Victoria is rude and has zero empathy (again, see her response). Our kitten wasn't playful from the time we got her because she was obviously already sick. Adding to my previous review because I just picked up my second kitten from Victoria and the process was even easier than the first time! I bought my first kitten Mouse from Victoria in January and recently decided she needed a companion so immediately reached back out to her again because of how easy the first time was. Victoria was super helpful the entire way through the process, she recommended a kitten that she felt would get along with Mouse (who is more on the shy side) and accommodated two visits to meet him. When I picked up my new kitten (Peach) , he was neutered, litter trained, vaccinated and came with documents which made our first vet visit really easy. Despite a contract stating the kitten was fully vaccinated, I spent days at the ER, missed work, and incurred over $13,000 in medical bills. The kitten came with free 30-day insurance, so my bill ended up about $5,000. Instead of support, Victoria sent constant texts blaming me, offering unsolicited diagnoses, demanding access to vets and records, and shifting responsibility. This appears to be a pattern in dealing with the clients. She also failed to disclose that she is NOT A BREEDER and that the kittens are shipped from UKRAINE. Response to Victoria: Regarding the issue of congenital vs acquired conditions -- "acquired" merely means that the condition didn't present itself at birth. It does not signify anything about the hereditary nature of the condition. Scottish folds are indeed to be suspected of being predisposed to such conditions (I also did not know this until recently). You can see that it also states that "some cats with heart disease will not have murmurs at all," which is why I am confused by your insistence that a murmur should have been detected when my cat was younger. The most foolproof way to screen for HCM seems to be through x-rays and an echocardiogram. Regarding the other reviewer who claimed her cat died due to HCM -- I can understand why her lack of documentation poses a problem for you. I can only offer my perspective on why I was reluctant to share medical documents when you first requested them. For me, it was unclear whether sharing the records would have resulted in a productive outcome. I didn't have the emotional energy to argue over details, if it came to that. I understand that this helps no one in the long run, which is why I've sent over his recent records. I am working on gathering his records from previous vets. Original post: I adopted a 5-month old Scottish Straight from Victoria a few years ago. For what it's worth, the adoption process was smooth and the breeder provided lots of helpful information on cat care. My cat is currently 3.5 years old and was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) a few months ago, after being taken into the emergency vet for rapid breathing. Turns out that he had fluid buildup in and around his lungs/heart (a form of congestive heart failure), making it deeply uncomfortable for him to breathe. This rarely happens to such young cats. Prognosis after heart failure is usually not very good -- average survival time after heart failure is around 1 year. Luckily, my cat made it through the episode of heart failure after spending two nights at the emergency vet. Since then, he has been to multiple animal cardiologist checkups and he has managed to get back to his normal self. This is all thanks to his medications -- he is on four different pills, twice a day, for the rest of his life. I was debating whether I should post this information on Yelp because I have no desire to damage a business if they're doing their honest best. However, I saw another reviewer mention that her cat died at a young age of HCM, to which Victoria replied defensively. When I told Victoria about my cat's recent diagnosis, she was sympathetic but also told me, "I have never had any kittens with heart issues." This made me a little wary, and I thought it right to put out another data point for potential buyers to consider. Both the emergency vets and the cardiologist (from separate practices) informed me that HCM is widely thought to be caused by genetics, particularly in pure-bred cats. They also assured me that HCM can often have no outwardly signs until it's progressed to the point of heart failure. However, Victoria expressed doubt about its genetic origins and claimed that genetic health issues always show up during kittenhood, such as in the form of a heart murmur. This is misinformation at best -- a quick Google search will show a recent NIH study on feline HCM which states that subclinical feline HCM may or may not produce a heart murmur or a gallop sound. My opinion is that a breeder should be judged by the health of their kittens. Victoria certainly has a lot of happy customers. I'm not claiming that my cat's health issues are provably due to genetics. I'm also not claiming that his health issues should have been caught when he was a kitten. However, it worries me to see the breeder's consistently defensive responses to negative Yelp reviews because this suggests to me a lack of willingness to acknowledge and improve breeding practices. Overall a Great Experience!! I reached out to Victoria via Facebook messenger and she always got back to me within an hour. Once we found the kitty that we wanted she let me know the whole process from A-Z. We reserved our kitty w/ half down around Mid-March 2024 and then paid the other half the day of pickup on June 1st 2024. Our little Harley is the sweetest little kitty in the world. Thank you Victoria! Here are some suggestions I would advise to anyone thinking about getting a new kitty from Lulu's Kittens! Requesting Updates after a reservation: A couple of weeks after I made a reservation my family was extremely excited. I loved to see on her Facebook page showing "reserved" because I knew the kitty was mine. I noticed the kitty profile was taken off her site after being reserved for a few weeks so I asked Victoria if everything was OK. I thought I would see updated pics or vids to show the family on her progress. Not only did Victoria update me she also sent me a personal video of the new kitty. If you would like updates I would suggest reaching out to her directly for pics and or videos if she can get them. What's Included: Victoria provided a Rabies vaccination document along with a super cute kitty passport w/ all the other vaccinations and microchip information from her Facebook "what's included" section. Kitty came fully potty trained and surprisingly is not that much of a scratcher. I think my furniture will survive :) They also let me keep the carry case the kitty came in during the flight and is airport friendly. Vet Visit & 30day Insurance: I would highly recommend setting up an appointment w/ your vet once Victoria informs you of the pickup date. My vet normally can get me in 3-4days, but this time around I had to wait over a week to get her in. Her blood work came back good, but she did need an additional 3rd vaccine shot and tested positive for a parasite in her stool. I have her on a two-week oral medication to clear up. If you have other pets in the household would recommend putting the new kitty in quarantine until the vet visit and all vaccinations are completed. Victoria also provides the information for the 30day free pet insurance. So be sure to sign up your pet right away. Day of Pick-up: Victoria is very close to the SFO airport for kitty pickup. My kitty did come from the Ukraine and the day the kitty arrives would be pickup day. The kitty was originally scheduled to arrive at SFO around 6pm and pickup around 7pm but the flight had been delayed. I cannot drive at night and Victoria let me know the kitty had to be picked up that day as she did not have any space for next day pickup. So i was a little concerned as I am a little over an hour from San Francisco. There are multiple reasons I'm giving Lulu's Kittens 5 stars and this next part put me over the top. They offer delivery services for a small fee to bring the kitty right to your door step. This was very important to me, because I was worried about having to drive at night and for her to offer that service was top notch! If you don't mind the drive I would ask if delivery is an option. read more

The person I spoke with was extremely hostile, rude, and antagonistic throughout the conversation, and immediately accused me of trying to breed cats. I clarified that I wasn't interested in breeding cats and that I wasn't trying to offend them, I was just exercising caution considering how many unethical SF breeders there are. They proceeded to mock me and repeatedly cited their yelp as being irrefutable proof that the cat I would receive would be healthy. We have adopted our 1st Scottish Fold-straight from Victoria at LuLu's. we are delighted with (Alina) now Alli. Alli has been with us for 1 and a half weeks now and getting more acclimated every day. We have an older male Himalayen and he is letting Alli know he is the boss of the house and Alli is very respectful of Sams space and I think , giving them time they will be buddy's because they both have really nice personalities. We were a little upset when we found out that Victoria had not registered this litter but adopted Alli anyway because we 1st wern't going to breed her and 2nd we fell in love with Alli and thought she would be a good fit for Sam. We like Victoria and we are keeping in touch with her re Alli's progress and also we want to be able to ask her advice. If we have any advice for Victoria it is to please register her litters, by doing that she can justify the price she is asking and the selling of her kittens before they age out and she needs to lower the prices. I had 2 vets working that night we brought him in tell me that he died due to heart failure and this is most likely due to poor breeding/genetic defect. Somehow Victoria thinks she knows more than 2 licensed vets and continues to suggest this was my fault and that he was "poisoned". She also claims that there would be symptoms of this, again, going back to what a licensed vet said versus a shady backyard breeder importing cats from overseas, when a perfectly healthy cat drops dead it is heart failure due to genetics. Similar to how healthy college athletes can suddenly drop dead. I suggested she gets her breeding cats tested and she said she gets the testing done in Ukraine (notorious for faking paperwork). Days later I asked for a refund since we owned him for 12 months from the day he passed and she continued to send me articles about household poisons, suggesting I hadn't neutered him, demanding for proof of neuter while I'm grieving (he was neutered) and suggesting it was my fault he died. After doing extensive research, I decided to adopt from Victoria at Lulu's Scottish Folds, and it was the best decision ever! Victoria is very knowledgeable and has ethical breeding practices. She is also very responsive and allows you to visit kitty before adopting! Victoria was helpful throughout every step of the adoption process and even after. I feel comforted knowing that Victoria is always there to happily answer my questions. You can also see that Victoria genuinely cares about her fur babies. My baby kitty Miso (was named Briana) came home and was shy/nervous the first day (which is normal for new kitties in new homes), but the day after she was jumping around and was so playful! You can tell that she has been well socialized. She is also the cutest cuddle bug :) I couldn't have asked for a better kitty! I am planning on adopting again from Victoria and also recommend to anyone else looking to adopt! read more

I have to write another review because without Victoria. I wouldn't be so happy. Victoria have the greatest kittens. The kittens been living with us for almost 2 months. They're the most cutest babies i ever seen. They're so healthy and happy since the first day I got them. Seriously it really make me upset when people gave Victoria some bad comments! If these people get your kitten. You have to get them in the vet and double check. This wasn't Victoria fault. She's so kind to sent me what my kittens need for last 2 months. I don't think another breeder will ever care. So for cat lovers you no need to worry. You will be in good hands. read more

We got adorable Zeta from Victoria and were very anxious about the fact that she was going to be flown in from Ukraine. We decided to go through with the overseas adoption after seeing how much Victoria cares about her cats' wellbeing. Although the first 1-2 weeks were a bit stressful for us since we were first-time pet parents and our kittie was adjusting, Victoria was very helpful and always available for advice. She knows so much about Scottish folds - she should write a book or a guide for first time parents like us! Now we have had Zeta for 3 weeks and she is doing well! Victoria was very helpful and cordial to deal with. Her kittens are adorable and are housed in great condition. They are all taken care of properly. Her cattery and service are both outstanding.
