The young lady who works there have a very bad attitude as she is always grumpy. I have to stand and wait 5-10 minutes sometime to get a service as employees are busy with doing stuff in the backroom. Most of the time ingredients are not there. One day they didn't have cucumber and the lady had to go to produce section to pick a cucumber and come. Another day they didn't have my choice of meet which is pastrami and I had to go with roast beef even though it is not my choice. Even today, they didn't have pastrami and the employee had to go inside and bring it. There were no pickle at all today. Service is very poor at this deli. I am a big fan of Safeway sandwiches and I often go to Antioch and Oakley stores. The employees are in those stores are super friendly and the their delis are very clean and organize. I guess I have to pick up my sandwich from Antioch or Oakley before get to work in Discovery Bay.

It was an older lady and a younger man serving the meats and they were unprofessional, and dismissive to each and every person including the children they were serving. Given this was a memorial service reception, their lack of empathy and professionalism really put a damper on the entire reception. I think you guys can do better and hire better waitstaff.

Michael's Market is like a convenience store (c-store), but it's loaded with beer, wine and tobacco items. It has a fountain area and wide variety of snacks and candy. For awhile it was the only neighborhood shop around. But now the Discovery Bay shopping center is right next door. Yes, I saw the Confederate flag. But the clerk was friendly and helpful. I was wearing my work uniform w/ ID. People with jobs usually have money to spend. Michael's Market is a well stocked c-store that can save you a trip down the road to the Safeway shopping center. Shell gas prices were about average for the SF Bay Area. Located on the corner of Discovery Bay Blvd & Riverlake Rd.

The first indication that I presumed incorrectly about this farmers market was that parking was difficult with only an hour or so left of the market. The second was the actual sight of the market itself. This market spanned about two blocks and was filled with more than just produce which was a welcome surprise to me. All of the vendors were so friendly and one guy even trash talked another peach stand that my friend had supported and got her to buy from his stand. Vibes were immaculate here and loved the variety! Farmers daughter provides buckets for free and doesn't charge an entrance fee unlike another local popular farm. The day we went they had peaches, plums and apricots for picking and the apricots tasted like jam - so sweet and perfect for the kiddos to hold (and devour). Their produce stand was also filled with a wide range of prepicked fruit and veggies. Service was beyond kind and I loved that they had tables and lots of open space for kids to frolick. This was like a 2 hour adventure for us and the kids can't stop talking about it. We can't wait to return!
