Review is for the panaderia y taqueria. Cielo is our go to spot for pan Mexicano. I tried plenty of places in the area and nothing compares. They are always fresh and soft. Our faves are their crema empanadas, quesadilla, muffins, and the alfajores! It's a must. Also, we recently gave their taqueria a try and went straight for the pupusas revueltas. Let me tell you, I was surprised, they were so good! The size, flavor, and price...you can't beat it! I picked up 8 for under $4 each and my whole family was obsessed. Customer service has to be the worst. I bought some Hibiscus to make Agua Fresca with. I had not opened the package since I bought it -maybe a couple weeks-to a month. When I opened it in the middle of the bag there were some moldy flowers and so I took it back to the store to have it exchanged and the guy whom helped me was not helpful at all.. saying the bag was fine and he didn't see mold. I brought him back another bag ( to show him that they were moldy when I purchased it because he asked me where I had it stored at my house) he said he didn't see anything and that was the color of the flower. I asked for a manager and he said I should've called first and they would've took down my complaint.. which makes no sense since it was late at night when I opened the bag and figured I'd go and do some shopping while exchanging the bag. He still didn't call a manager to the front. Also Last time I bought a flan and bit into a wire.. when I took the flan back the manager that day ,was so nice and quietly refunded me the money- with no hesitation or questions . I should've made a big deal about it and not let that slide as my mom whom bit into the flan piece was poked by the wire- I couldn't imagine what would have happened if she would've swallowed it and hurt herself. ( she stated that the wire may have came from the wire scrubber they use to wash the pans) They just lost a loyal customer. As I would go there at least once a week to get my meat , tortillas and other stuff that I would need the same day to cook. Cielo Market - do better with your staff and I would add on your receipt a date on when a customer has time to return /exchange your products. There's not one noted on the receipt as I asked the guy to show me where it stated I couldn't return the product . After the flan incident I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt but I was wrong.. sorry I've spent too much of my money there and they couldn't even exchange a bag of hibiscus. read more

Bought tortillas that went bad within two days and management would not give a frequent customer the courtesy and exchange them. Two managers gave long debate on why they could not do an easy exchange .So be careful when buying this product. I've been coming to this grocery store for a while now and I love it! You will find everything you need (especially Mexican cooking ingredients you can't find anywhere else) the marinated Carne Asada to grill is really good too! I finally got to try some of the food they sell and it was really good! I got a ham torta and I enjoyed every last bite! Will definitely be back to try their VERY vast menu of deliciousness! I love being able to run there to grab what I need ,but!!! the bald security guy makes it so uncomfortable going to that store!! When I go he literally follows me and asks if I need help finding what I need and stares like a perv .. yesterday he was hands crossed over the candy machine as the cashier was checking out my items and just staring at me and I didn't even glance his way because he makes me so uncomfortable!! A truly fine supermercado with a small and tidy, butcher counter, excellent panderia (with tamales to go!), delicious salsa, and a food court. I especially appreciated their obviously made-in-house Horchata (with a dense mouthfeel, which trended toward the vanilla, rather than cinnamon) and delicious guisados. My gigantic chile verde burrito (featuring tender chunks of pork in a medium-spicy sauce) had a near-perfect ratio of meat to cheese, rice and beans, appropriate spicing, and a properly grilled tortilla. It was certainly one of the best burritos I've had for under 10$ in the last few months. Credit cards accepted (including Google Pay), clean, well-lit, masks required. Cielo Market. Where do I start? Besides the fact that they're charging far too much for their food, their hot food isn't as it should be. The Pozole Rojo was disgusting! Supposed to be pork, there was something that kind of resembled a tongue in the container and bones, lots of bones... I had the misfortune of biting into a portion of bone not knowing it was bone that crumbled into debris. The Albondigas soup was flavorless, the pork tamale had this aftertaste of something in the masa that was unfriendly. Their flour tortillas are overpriced. Almost $7.00 for a dozen! We wanted to like this place, the idea of a Mexican food, grocery store with a tortillas area, a bakery, a butcher and as well hot foods seems like it should work but their prices are outrageous. Their customer base are Hispanics and the majority seem to have a much lower income than other grocery store customers. They're taking advantage of this. We are both of Hispanic descent and won't be patronizing this place anymore. read more

Stopped in here last week to get the last of the supplies needed to make tamales. We usually go to Cardenas, but stopped there first and realized that Cardenas had nothing that we needed and the store was a little dirty. We thought why not try Cielo. So glad we did!! it was clean, well stocked, and friendly staff. We found everything that we needed. We also bought some pan dulce to try and a homemade banana bread. Both were delicious! I got the Veggie Burrito $8.99 which was fairly large, and tasty, I also wanted to try the Chicken Tamale $2.69 which we both really enjoyed. Went in tonight to grab some food for dinner. The guy who rang us up charged for a super quesadilla instead of a kids meal because I ordered it chick (the sign says choice of meat and cheese for the kids meal). He argued that it didn't come with meat, wouldn't look at the sign, and when a coworker looked at the sign and told him it said meat he tried to charge me $2.50 extra for the chicken. He continued arguing with me over the price saying it didn't matter what the sign said. A manager ended up coming over to correct him and refund the extra money he had charged me.
