Do not get these aligners. You are better off going to your dentist. It is a hassle getting all these dental x-rays and scans to them and most dentist don't work with 3rd party aligners. You are better off just working with your dentist on a plan. They refuse to start treatment even if its not necessary to get dental work done. I have been going back and forth with this company as I was not satisfied with my first treatment and they flared out my overbite instead of fixing it. read more

They refuse to call my dentist to clarify what they need and take weeks between to respond to my emails. They are trying to wear me down so I just give up on treatment. Horrible service. Customer service is horrible--emails either go unanswered or I receive generic responses stating they'll get back to me in a few business days (which never happens). When they do respond, it's always some excuse about the "system having issues" and that my treatment plan cannot be accessed. This has been the same repeated excuse for months. Ripoff! There's no standard fee because if you haggle they'll get you down to a price just to get you into the program Midway through the program. They made me sign some large document to continue my service and I googled it and it seemed like many of these online liner services are being sued by families who use the service but really had more involved. Facial deformities dental deformities or needed more extensive dental care. So now they asked me for x-rays which I submitted and they said no. We're going to give you reimbursement to go to a dentist because we need a different set of x-rays. I am so angry because I'm almost done with my treatment and now I have to pay out of pocket for my retainers which is still cheaper than going to another dentist for another set of x-rays. There's no reason my insurance would cover the same x-ray that my last dentist did. The only reason byte couldn't use them is because my dentist doesn't have them digitally. They also take a while to respond to you. Even when they send you alerts that you need to send photos for a check-in, I would never use them again. Don't waste your money read more

Byte is the worst. They told me I was going to receive a refund due to the conditions and side effects they have caused me. My dentist wrote them a letter of discontinue use and they told me my refund was on the way for over a month. I got byte for a "cheaper" faster alternative since my teeth weren't too bad. The process has been hell. Back in May I was told my teeth weren't "tracking properly" and to keep the alingers for that week on until they sent me a new impressions kit to give me a new set of alingers, sure, that's what I did. I ended up being told that the impression kit didn't "capture my teeth properly" and they would be sending another kit, okay, I did it again, after waiting weeks (still wearing the same alingers I have had for weeks with wear and tear) they told me it didn't "capture again" and they would resend ANOTHER kit, at this point I made it clear this is the last time I am going to be doing the kit, IF it doesn't work again then I wouldn't want to continue. Well, guess what? A couple of days ago, I received an email saying the same thing: "The impressions kit didn't capture your teeth, no worries this happens".. blah blah, if it didn't work THREE times, what makes you think the FOURTH will? At this point I gave up, too much back and fourth when I should of BEEN DONE WITH MY TREATMENT by now, but instead I have been on the same alingers foe MONTHS, keep redoing impression kits, and no progress. I demanded a refund for the services not received, and they hit me with "a refund is not an option." After doing research, I came across so many horror stories of people in the same situation as me and class action lawsuit. Also to mention, being on those same wear and tear alingers for three months now has caused me so much jaw discomfort, ear, and teeth discomfort as well as headaches. This entire process has been draining. I demand a refund from this company, or legal action will be taking place. My experience is still ongoing, as Byte doesn't have actual people respond to inquiries and their support is so slow moving. If they do respond, it's a copied and pasted message that provides no assistance. Byte has been holding on to a refund that they say has "processed" going on a month now. Per the FDA, they determined that Byte's patient onboarding workflow may not provide adequate assurance that certain contraindicated patients do not enter treatment with Byte Aligners. Things did not go as planned but Byte fully refunded at the end. Trustworthy business

I was lucky and had a simple case of tightening up my teeth so the treatment plan worked BUT now that I paid in FULL for the BYTE PROTECTION PLAN to get 10 sets of retainers in 5 years, i'm being ghosted and have not received my 2nd set despite calling, texting, emailing, chatting to bots for weeks!!. I can't get a real live person to answer, just computer generated responses that say 'they are on their way' with NO tracking information. I finally FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB and have requested a refund for the Protection Plan as Byte is unable to fulfill their commitment or even communication to me. Even if they get their act together, i would not TRUST the quality of anything I received from them hereon. I hope I get it, I noticed that there are a lot of unhappy people filing complaints against them. i'll have to go to a real dentist and get a real pair of retainers to keep my teeth in line. I wish these reviews were available before I signed up! I have a minor crossbite that I wanted fixed and Byte seemed to be a good alternative. The procedure was supposed to be completed by December 2022. The problem is that I not only have the original cross bite but now have large gaps in my teeth. Several calls to Byte produced a lot of "song and dance" but no answers. The Byte App says the "new" aligners are shipped but several weeks later no shipment. I called in again and got more song and dance about how the aligners weren't even shipped but still "in the manufacturing process" . Further inquiries as to when but no concrete date could be given. I'm sure someone at Byte will respond with something like "Oh we are so sorry....We want to regain your TRUST" but nothing will be done. In Summary: STAY AWAY!!! read more

Stay far away from this company. Go to somebody more professional such as Invisalign. I paid for a 9 month treatment over 3 years ago and they sent me warped, aligners, and never followed up on the situation. Then they illegally put my account into collections with a third-party. After noticing something funny on my credit and I reached out to them they had promised me a refund since they did not provide my services and have still yet to give me my refund and the third-party company refuses to send me my refund and fix the false information on my credit. The people at Byte lied to me and said that my refund was on the way almost 2 months ago. The people at Westlake portfolio said it was in the mail. Now both companies are telling me my refund is still being processed and Byte claims that they can't help me. read more

I wish I had seen these reviews before I signed up for Byte. I am so incredibly disappointed. I chose Byte over some of the other companies after doing some review. However, the customer service is absolutely atrocious. Whenever you need support, you can email them and a NEW person will email you back to respond every time, seemingly without reading any previous emails. I am in the process now of revising, since my teeth were not where I wanted them after my treatment. I was supposed to start a new set of aligners. Instead, when I emailed, they have been asking me to submit photos of me trying on aligners that are 6-8 aligners back. This is my THIRD email with them requesting ANOTHER PHOTO of random aligners... They are cheap and lazy and the customer service is awful. I have informed my friends and family to stay away from this company. Please consider a company where you can actually speak to a human and get the results that you deserve. I was supposed to have 6 months or so of aligners... I am going on over a year with this company and am so incredibly dissatisfied. read more

Have not had a great experience with them. Everything seemed to be working fine until the end of the process, when I was fairly satisfied with my teeth and I wanted to order retainers. I contacted them to initiate the order and they confirmed they would be sending them immediately. Apparently, the dentists on staff weren't satisfied with where my teeth were and wanted me to continue wearing my aligners... except this was never communicated to me. I waited 3-4 weeks and contacted them again and they told me they weren't sending the retainers. By this time, I was struggling to wear my same aligners every night because they were noticeably breaking down and I didn't want to be swallowing plastic all night. I wish they had just sent me the retainers when I ordered them and when I was satisfied with my smile! My teeth have shifted out of alignment again and I'm not dropping more money for these people. Stay far away from Byte - terrible customer service! We want to begin by saying we contacted customer service several times, trying to get a resolution to our issue, so a negative review would not be warranted, even escalating it to the top three CEO, COO, and CTO of the company. After over a month of waiting, then getting the run-around, the issue is STILL unresolved. So, now we feel others should know what has ocurred, so they can make an informed decision when deciding whether of not to get involved with this company. We suggest not, especially since there are so many other companies who do not have this same issue nor run-round customer service. We ordered a Byte kit and sent it back in. We were told by email we were not a match for the treatment and refunded our money. We were fine with this outcome and felt mostly satisfied with our experience, until it came to trying to delete the account we had created on Byte.com. We looked all over the site but no "delete my account" was available. We emailed the support dept and privacy team and were ignored. We called the customer service number. They put us on the phone with Lauren, who was our rep during the impression kit portion. She transferred us to Spence in the IT dept. He said he was unsure how to delete the account completely, but would look into it and email an update at least by one week later. We have still not heard from him a month later. We then emailed the top brass of the company - CEO, COO, and CTO (Mr. Lones, Mr. Santini, and Mr. Radetsky) and asked them to help resolve this issue. We got an email saying they would take my email off of their marketing list. That isn't even CLOSE to what we requested at all. They did not listen to what we clearly asked for - delete our entire account and all the information from the patient page we created. This should have been a very simple procedure to delete the account at our request, especially since we are no longer a customer of Byte. We were inundated with emails, texts, etc (almost too much) when we first ordered our impression kit, but now that we aren't giving money to the company, we can't get anyone to help resolve our issue. It is shameful. We are frustrated and don't want anyone else to go through this experience. Like most companies already do, Byte should have a way to delete the account in its entirety on the site itself to circumvent this issue. They could have a double-confirm system put into place to safeguard people accidentally deleting it. They also need to retrain their reps when they tell a customer they are going to email them, they should uphold that simple request and follow-through. I had no issues with the treatment itself, and paid in full ahead for aligners to the tune of 1800 dollars. My issues have been in post treatment, where they refuse to sell me a replacement aligners or a retainer because they stated I was "out of warranty" with the treatment. The truth is, I am no longer in treatment, I concluded almost 4 years ago and I am simply looking for a way to maintain the work that was completed. They've continually asked that I "step back" to previous aligner sets, but I do not see the value in that, because then I'm in a never ending loop. When I offered to pay out of pocket, and the rep I was emailing with sent me an email that said simply "keep smiling". I have no idea what that means. I guess it's code for FU. I was very disappointed in my service considering all their "good" press. The package of aligners was overall good, however, the service was terrible. I had multiple issues during the treatment process and each time it usually took 1-2 weeks before people responded. I was informed to provide multiple pictures each time which I did along with annotations showing the alignment issues, however, this only triggered multiple follow up requests that were never resolved due to the slow response times. My entire treatment regimen was done before I received responses on the open issues. The end result is my teeth are misaligned and not the result promised. I have complained multiple times at this point with no real recourse. If you are looking for teeth alignment you can do better than Byte, don't waste your money here. read more

The product was really good but They will make up excuses to get out of warranty so the can charge you money for future issues, basically because they think they got you by the short hairs because you may feel you need them. By step 8 the lower aligners were not fitting on my back molars. After going through all the hoops, the clinician told me to cut the back part of the aligners off since the aligners do not move the molars and is not needed. Ultimately, they had to remake the aligners, and again on step 8, the lower aligners would not fit on my back molars. I can clearly see that the aligners are not properly molded. After submitting the same exact issue, Byte voided my treatment plan. I paid upfront for this this treatment plan - Very dissatisfied. Do not recommend. Visit a dentist or orthodontist. read more

Worst customer service I have experienced. I have been using Byte aligners for almost 2 years now and after my first set of aligners my treatment was not complete (understandable) I reached out for additional aligners. waited 4 weeks for the impression set to be sent to find out that they did not send and had made a mistake, so they resent (again understandable) after returning and receiving my updated plan and retainers I made it all the way through to find out that I am missing 1 upper and 1 lower. The app doesn't track well for the second set so you are on your own for this treatment. I have tried for MONTHS to get the last aligners sent to me and have been stuck in a never-ending loop of having to send photos and not recieving help from customer service. I speak with someone feel like I will be helped and then they ghost. I would imagine there is a huge turnover in employees. I just want to finish my treatment plan and be done! I have been in my current set of aligners for over 6 months because I can't get help. my last email string I was asked to submit photos of all aligners and packages AGAIN. I have already submitted these photos TWICE. just send me the aligners I was shorted!!!! read more
