As an avid diner fan, I usually find myself at Bill's Restaurant next door, but their hours can be a little tough sometimes. That's actually how I ended up trying C & B Luncheonette, and I was so pleasantly surprised. I definitely wasn't expecting an American diner / dim sum / Asian fusion experience, but it works really well. I had the scallion pancake with egg and cheese, which was awesome. Crispy, flavorful, and something a little different from your standard diner breakfast. My date had the American-style pancakes and those were amazing too. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the whole place had a really welcoming vibe. One of my closest friends lives in Ridgewood and whenever I visit, I end up stopping by C&B Luncheonette for some delicious and reasonably prices grub. The owners Cindy and Ben are pretty awesome people. I'm not a regular by any means but Cindy always recognizes my voice when I call in and even knows my order by heart, which is a BLT with an over-easy egg on top as well as a large iced-coffee with a little bit of ice. In fact, this past weekend when I was in the area and called in to make an order, Cindy asked me if I wanted to add my usual ice-coffee as I was about to hang up. I glad she did because I indeed forgot (woke up exhausted and indeed needed that coffee!). They have some amazing memorabilia from the 50's to the 2000's hanging on the walls and all throughout their store. I even saw a Duke Nukem video game for sales at the counter. Parking is limited in this area but you can usually find one on an adjacent side street or across the road by the gas station. If you're a local and biking, they have a bike rack directly in front. I felt very safe picking up my food here as they have a very conveniently placed take-out window, so you don't even need to enter. The other reviewers were not lying when they talked about the hospitality here, the lady who took care of us was genuinely the sweetest! The food was delicious. This is our first time in New York, so we are glad we found this little hole in the wall as we were wandering around our airbnb trying to find food. First off the people who run this little place are incredibly nice. And the service was so quick! My friend and I both ordered their French toast breakfast plate and wow, the food was amazing. It was like freshly home made breakfast. And the amount of food you get for the price is awesome. Their coffee was good and the orange juice was out of those Tropicana boxes but for the price and the restaurant being run out of what looks like their home, I'm completely satisfied. Great little spot! Came here because of the other reviews, and it did not disappoint! I went with the deluxe breakfast and there was so much good, and for only $12 it was amazing!!! The potatoes weren't as crispy as I'd like but if that's my only complaint it's a pretty great spot! Not many tables but i went around 10ish AM and there were two other people there! It's just ok, I've been to 5 star restaurants that blew my mind and this wasn't even close, so I don't understand how this place gets 5 stars. Been here 4 times got a egg and cheese breakfast wrap with avacado, it was $8.75 for a solid but basic sandwich and I had to wait for about 25 miniutes all 4 times. Isn't the point of a diner to be somewhat fast? My boyfriend came here and waited, seriously, 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich! The bodego on Irving and knickerbocker, 2 blocks away, I can get the same quality sandwich for $6 in 7 minutes. I've given this place a chance, not worth the effort, I give up. read more

Brought our 2 dogs in because we saw there was a back patio in the Yelp pictures, and the servers were more than welcoming! It was hard for us to find a dog friendly place in Brooklyn. I love this place so much. The two people that are always working there are so unbelievably kind and hardworking. They will without a doubt make you feel like you're at grandma's house on a Sunday.
