Walked into this store to purchase quite a few items. By the time I made it to checkout, my basket was full. The cashier was incredibly RUDE, and I kid you not when I lifted my basket up for her to check me out, she literally PUSHED ME and the basket with FULL FORCE. I honestly could not believe it. The force was so strong and aggressive that it moved me backwards and hurt my chest (because the basket was literally shoved into my chest). She then proceeds to raise her tone telling me I have to remove the items from the basket, and that's why she pushed me. Like what type of employee tries to legitimize their use of force and aggression. She was dead wrong. There should be no reason to push me, let alone with such force. It was disgusting behavior, and something you'll only find Asian business owners doing to their vital clientele. I put my basket down and left. I knew then that my money was not meant to be spent there. This establishment is abusive and exploitative and deserves zero support. If you are a black woman, please do not support this business. 2nd time here and favor was on my side:). I was looking for a wig to wear to my cousins wedding next week and I knew going in I did not want to pay a lot of money for a one time event. You're only allowed to try on 3 wigs so I had to decide on the best one. The one I chose was the last one left. None in the back. I asked if it was for sale bc usually they don't sale if it's the only one left. The associate came back and said it's $25.99! Original price $50. I told her I'd take it! :) There are tons of wigs here and it makes it difficult to choose . They're priced from $40 to $300. Good quality and the prices are in line with other stores. Clean, organized and fully stocked except I bought the last wig in this style :). She said they would be getting more or it may be discontinued. This place seems to be one of my staple beauty supply stores. I always seems to find what I'm looking for here when I can't seem to find it anywhere else. Sometimes it can be a bit pricey but I'd prefer to find it here than run around town to several different places and not find it and waste my gas. read more

It's very interesting to see the reviews for this place, because I completely disagree. I have been coming to this beauty supply store for years and I have never had any issues! I love the variety of products that they offer. Especially for someone who has natural hair. I find that they have wayyyy more options than the WalMart down the block and offer a plethora of hair extensions/wigs/braiding hair for an affordable price. They also have many oils and serums, along with many butters and whips. The only reason I chose to deduct a star is because I often find issue with the prices of some of the (natural) hair care items. Despite having so many options, I feel as if some of the more higher quality brands are drastically over-priced. Nevertheless, I always come to this location whenever I need to re-up on hair care products, utensils, spray/application bottles, oils, or a nice pack of hoop earrings. read more

I will never ever shop at this beauty supply store. They are rude and have a very mean attitude towards their customers. I have never been treated so horrible they are arrogant and I will not spend my money in their business. I wouldn't buy a rat tail comb from there. I didn't even want to give this establishment a one star. I lived in Atlanta from 2008 to 2012. This store was my go to store for hair and beauty accessories and I always enjoyed the relationship I have with the staff. I relocated to DC and had not been in a few years. Two weeks ago I went to the store and saw the same woman working there that was employed when I lived in Atlanta. She has blonde highlights in the front of her hair and is of Asian descent. I walked in and as I went to the section looking for hair, no one was there to help me. So I decided to look at the rest of the store until someone came to that section. Once I saw that there was someone over there and it seem to be the woman I used to work with I walked over. As I approached the counter, she did not greet me instead I had to greet her and say I was looking for some help, she was looking at what seem to be an inventory book and was not interested in helping me obviously. I asked to try on some different styles and she looked bothered. She told me that I could try on a maximum of three styles, and was frustrated when I asked about the different types of hair available. I try to ask as many questions as possible so that there was clarity but once she gave me the three styles to try on it seems as though they were not the styles I was looking for. The entire time as I was asking for styles and asking questions she seemed bothered, and downright rude. I said to her that I used to shop with her a few years back and she was much more kind then. She did not change her attitude and instead continued to tell me about the rules of the store. Which I except. It was more so her delivery that was unacceptable. I reminded her that I spent thousands of dollars with her in the past and she did not seem to care. I decided to leave the establishment after her poor service and on my way out I told the people the front counter I was extremely disappointed in my service and that I'm embarrassed that over the past few years I recommend people to go there. Which I will not be doing anymore. They treated me like I was going to steal a product and in addition the woman acted as though I was not allowed to try on different styles. She was rude and unfriendly and I do not recommend anyone doing business at their establishment. read more

When I returned to make buy some products, they refused to allow me to make a purchase with the same store credit they had issued to me a week before. Took me 2 visits to realize how RUDE these people are. The older lady working with the human hair didn't even ask me if I needed help. I had to ask her if she worked there. Then she never even gave me eye contact. Made me feel like she didn't want to engage with me. Then I asked her where the braided wigs were and all she did was pointed to a place where I obviously didn't have access to them because they were high up. Then she walked away! I'm like. Ok. You obviously don't want my business so "Girl, bye." WHY would these people go into the business of selling AA products if they don't want to deal with us? Just go sell products that white people use and be happy. I'll NEVER step foot in another one again and I'll now shop at the ones that hire AA females to help customers because at least they're trying to show they're giving back to the people who are paying their bills. I agree with Victoria. The service was so awful. The lady that works there is beyond rude. Everything was NO, I don't know or I'm busy. I looked around for awhile on my own. They had the products that I wanted, but when I could not find something or had a question she was very rude and dismissive. Then the friend I came with needed the restroom. She said they do not have public restrooms. When I reminded her that a store that size MUST have public restrooms, she told me to go look for the store manager. Finally went up front to buy several products that I knew I wanted. Where she refused to budge earlier, no one was anywhere to be found. I waited about five minutes and then just walked out.
