The first time the I visited I purchased a nose ring and other items. I spent over $70 in that store. When I got home the nose ring was not in the bag. I called the store and of course the person (owner) basically said to bad for you not in those words but he didn't try to rectify the situation. Yesterday I went there to purchase some socks specifically. There was an issue with those as they did not have the ones on sale clearly marked. I ended up picking up some other items. I caught a bottle of bonding that rung up more than it said. I had the young lady remove that. I got home and looked at the receipt and found a price discrepancy. A head wrap I purchased rung up $2.49 but the price on the item says $1.99. My advice to anyone seeing this is to take a picture of the tag and pay attention to the price as it is being scanned. If I didn't live over 17 miles from the store. I would've taken it back. Why are these store so trifling! read more

When we asked the sale person could bring them back if anything happen to them she told us yes as long as we keep the receipt, Keep the box but we could exchange them but we wouldn't get any money back. of course we try to take them back and exchange them for another pair and you know what happened??!! So not exactly sure why the employees have such stank attitudes but i can pick 3 separate people (2 funky acting girls & 1odd acting manager) out of a line up right now & exactly state what the issues were. I inquired about a job & the first initial girl i asked acted like i was bothering her. she quite literally responded " uhh idk " & passes the question over to an employee who was walking up the aisle. that employee readily told me how to apply. I schedule an appointment via the site for a Monday. I arrive on time (around 9 am) & a different (but also stank) girl let me know in an annoyed manner that "oh. there's no manager here to interview you so you're just going to have to reschedule it" that was perfectly fine. it was the frustrated tone & shifty eyes as if i did something to her that had me throwed. Okay so i reschedule my interview for 2 days later, Wednesday & the ENTIRE interview the manager interviewing me could Not make eye contact at all with me. Whether i was answering a question or he was asking one, he stayed on his phone the whole time & only looked at me once the interview was over.... which i of course did not feel good about. it was extremely rude. Anyways leading up to that socially awkward weird man that interviewed me, my other interactions at this store honestly made me question pursuing the job regardless but a job IS a job. Nori wig had super loose curls when I saw a review on YouTube where the curls were really tight. They sell items that are like a knock off or something. I called the manager of the store and she gave me the Owner's number. I talked with him and he did not care at all. Said he was going to look into it and call me back and he never did. Then I finally received the order after 3 weeks and I spent $80 on my order it qualified for a free wig band. I searched the box and it was not in their . So I contacted them through email and of course i got no response. I have emailed them at least 3 times with no reply. So this really made me not want to order from them again. I always used to shop from here when I stayed near and when I moved up north I still came back bc they had a certain braiding hair I liked to use on all my celebrity clients. Lately they haven't had it everytime I was around so today I CALLED before coming and I talked to a black girl with a black voice (a fimilar voice that I heard before bc I come a lot)and she said they had it !! I then asked her can you go back and make sure before I drive there and she put me on hold and came back and said yes!! .. Of course I drove and come to find out SHE WAS A LIAR!! ... they need to watch her!! If she lie like that!! She would certainly steal!! She even pretended like it wasn't her on the phone(really). I searched high and low for a beauty supply with a large selection of synthetic wigs . I paid over $30 bucks to get to this location as I live downtown and had a very upsetting racist experience at the beauty supply store nearby me (C&S BEAUTY SUPPLY). Yet when I arrived to the store and received a very much subpar and sometimes non-existent or rude assistance from the staff. I was looking for specific types of wigs (with a large lace/silk base parting space or simply a premium quality wig). I asked the staff for suggestions of the most popular wigs, their favorite wig and asked for a recommendation yet everyone answered "Idk". Every answer was "idk" including when I asked for pricing or the colors they have in stock for wigs I was interested in. I was left standing alone for long periods of time though I kept asking for help. The wig selection is vast yet the wigs are behind a counter going high up on the wall so you have to have assistance in order to see the wigs closer. I ultimately just rushed and got a wig yet when I got to the register and the price I was given was drastically incorrect and much lower than the actual price. I suggest for the staff and ownership to have more product and inventory knowledge and care more about the customers that have sought you out looking for an expensive item or to simply make the wigs easily accessible so the customer doesn't have to stand there waiting for help from staff that don't want to help. read more

They do have a wide selection & good prices. But customer service is better to me. I was happy to support because the owners are not Asian and the employees are black. But why do they have to be ghetto and rude? One lady sat, and I mean literally sitting on here chair, I was looking at the wig counter & was about to purchase a wig & needed assistance. The manager walked out and asked why are you sitting? She replies , I'm tired & im waiting for these customers to get out. I have been going crazy over the unreal sales at this new beauty supply at the corner of Memorial and S. Hairston. The high end synthetic wig prices are unreal along with a flyer that comes via mail. You can tell they young women in there are doing more than their job entails and yet the men in the store just smoke outside on the phone every time I come and avoid customers until they absolutely can't anymore.
