Part 1- This is in reference to the review that "Love K." left claiming that the owner of the store used the "N" word and that the general environment of the store is racist. This couldn't be further from the truth. It's so unfortunate that apps like Yelp can be abused and used as a tool for people like this woman to submit false accusations, without any repercussions, and are intended to bring economic and personal harm to the owner of the store as well as the employees who depend on it for their livelihood. The owner is very rarely in the store and when he is, he is not on the sales floor. He is a God fearing, religious Christian man who is beyond kind. His employees do, in fact, follow customers around the store for a couple of reasons. The store is very large and contains tens of thousands of products. It can be difficult to locate a specific product for a customer and for customer service sake, employees do their best to remain nearby in case their assistance is needed. Also, the economic loss to the store because of the incessant theft that occurs throughout each and every day is not only a fact, this statement doesn't not come close to giving you a realistic understanding of the issue being unexaggeratedly like an aggressive cancer that will multiply at an unbelievably rapid pace if you let your guard down for even one moment, no matter if that moment is a mere fraction of time. There are approximately 30-40 cameras throughout the store with a very large television screen that is suspended just above the checkout area. When the cashiers aren't attending to customer purchases, they maintain focus on the screen to, obviously, look out for shoplifters or other activities that negatively impact the store, it's employees, it's customers, it's products or the safety of anyone that is in the store. Besides theft there are people who will intentionally damage products, intentionally create dangerous situations by pouring hair oils and the like on hard flooring, adults both transient and non transient who will seek out an area of the store to prey on vulnerable people such as young women shopping alone or children who are allowed to run around the store unattended by their parents, this being another constant issue that employees must remain vigilant about. The store contains highly poisonous chemicals that can cause harm and can even be lethal if inhaled or ingested and can burn skin and eyes and when children are running around wild knocking over bottles of chemicals or curiously prying open packages and containers to see what's inside, not only is it dangerous but it also causes the store further economic loss because they can no longer sell that product because the seal has been broken. If the employees didn't keep an aggressive eye out for theft, the cost would be passed on to the consumer. And to say that they employees target black people specifically is ridiculous. This is a beauty supply store that caters specifically to men and women of color. This is not a beauty supply store where you will find products for Caucasian, Asian or Hispanic hair. The products carried in this store are for one ethnic and racial population only and that is the black population. There's nothing racist about a store having a policy to stay near customers and keep an eye out for theft when theft is a ginormous problem and every customer is basically the same race. No one is being singled out. Everyone is being watched and you can thank the jerks who come in and steal and make it such a bad problem that even 40 cameras and every employees eyes cannot reduce the theft to not being such a bad problem still yet! I was employed at this store for 3 months immediately after I was laid off from my job in CA when the pandemic first hit. My very sweet, 64 year old, hardest working woman I've ever known, carries herself with dignity, respect and grace and who is adored by countless black women who have come to entrust her with the health and beauty of their hair and skin, my Korean mom who has been employed at this store 6-7 days a week, from open to close for over a decade now, deserves to be acknowledged for her loyalty and contribution both to the store and to the community that she has been there for despite the fact that she is undeservingly verbally attacked and ridiculed for her race, her accent and her Asian eyes. read more

There is even a professional wig stylist on site, so if you cant find the perfect wig for you, they have someone that will not only guide you through the rows and rows of wigs, but will show you different ways in which you can wig it. Well they have it all if you wanna be-weave-it....Long, Short, Curly, Pink, Yellow.....and yes, the very very hard to find 77J. Which for those of you that must know is my signature hair color when ever Kobe Bryant is coming to town and the month of July for my birthday. It is getting harder and harder to find...and the site that use to sell it online doesnt anymore....so...yes...I will be driving 45 minutes from my home to buy hair. (Which also living here in Atlanta is almost a daily commute to work also). I've been coming to this store for two years. Spent hundreds of dollars buying wigs. Today I bought two wigs. Tried them as usual with the lace not cut. I've always cut the lace myself. I had the lady cut my lace today. The result is in the pictures. The front of the wig stands up. The lady tried to tell me most customers glue it down. I told her I am not other customers. I never had to glue any wig down and I don't use glue period. They already got my money and don't want to do anything about it. The supposed manager told me that they do not take losses. They said oh well you already bought it, there is nothing we can do. I've never had a problem ever at any wig store I've been to. They are not customer service friendly at all!!! I've been frequenting Chapel Hill--close to South Dekalb Mall--for a number of months. I missed this location! The representatives are helpful and straightforward. I purchased the unit I wanted, including conditioner and other preventive care for my protective,natural hair care. The staff and ownership is unbiased. Although there are cultural differences between us, I never felt abandoned and they didn't treat me indifferently. I will give them all my business, regardless of the distance. Thank you! read more

I came here with a friend looking for a particular look for her hair. The wig selection is very big and offers numerous styles. Only issue with this location is customer service, you ask for assistance, an opinion, anything you get a glazed over stare and then the sales associate walks off. My review has strangely been move to the Hairston location versus where this happened at the C&C near NamDaeMun. Very strange. This occured at the 5224 location. The Hairston location also follows customers though, as do all asian owned stores. I've been followed and watched like a hawk without fail every single time I've come to the Hairston store, so it's no better. I recommend skipping them all and going to the store in Tucker near fiveguys and popcorn haven by lawrenceville highway. That store is Black owned. read more

DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. CLOSE SHOP!!!!!! Worst experience ever. I use to shop at this beauty supply all the time. I walked in today with a family member to purchase a wig. Asked for assistance from the lady running the department and she gave off a very cold and unwelcoming attitude. Every question I asked was cut short with that's it that's all responses. I asked for a nice quality wig and was told "those wigs are $400, you got $400?" I brushed off her comment and asked to see them. She continued to talk to her co-worker in another language and then asked me " May I ask your budget?" Appalled, I replied no, that's rude, may I see the wigs? She shook her head no. I asked for her manager walked to the front desk to be given a cold stare by a rude store manager "that's her department there's nothing I can do". People need to humble themselves and remember what made them who they are today. Without customers you have no business. They profiled me and my niece and assumed we couldn't afford a $400 wig. $400 isn't even a weeks worth of work. Not that I was dressed down, I shouldn't have to dress a certain way nor look a certain way to receive good customer service. I came in with a great attitude and a high recommendation for this particular location but left hurt, confused and mistreated. This establishment will never get another a penny from me. This is one of my favorite hair stores. They have everything that you could possibly need if you are of color. I even by my Shea butter here since my family has eczema. The wig selection is huge, cheap, and of good quality. The prices are some of the cheapest in the area, and the products are always in stock. I buy my hair products from here, hair accessories, nail polish, lip liner, and chapstick. I don't wear wigs, but if I did, I'd buy it from here. I think you can try on 3 wigs for free before paying $1 to buy a hair cap which allows you to try on 3 more. read more

I am a regular at this location and the employees are always pretty friendly, but I usually never ask for help with anything. Very neat and clean store with lots to offer. I like that they have testers for most of the makeup, and they have great prices. I have even bought a couple of wigs before that were pretty and decently priced, though the rule about only being able to try on 3 is silly, I think 5 would be a better rule. read more

This used to be one of my favorite spots because they had my favorite shampoo. Now I will never go in that place again. I just starting buying and trying on wigs so I was hoping they would be more helpful.....NOT! The customer service is awful. They are rude and think they can talk to people however the want. If you are looking for wigs, walk right past the owners up front and go directly to the back. If you are lucky, Shannon will be there. She is great and very helpful. There are lots and lots of wigs to choose from and many of them are deeply discounted. Whether you just want to change your look or you have a medically related hair loss, this place has it all. I went to the C & C Beauty supply on Hairston and Memorial drive in Stone Mountain. I purchased two large bottles of organic olive hand and body lotion. The lotion was on sale for $7.99. The cashier ranged up only one bottle for sale and the other at regular price of $9.99. In route to work I noticed the problem on my receipt and immediately called the store. This idiot had the nerve to tell me I would need to bring the merchandise back and.....WAIT FOR IT, WAIT FOR IT.......they will have to roll back the video tape back to show I actually bought the items. Documented proof on paper with the company logo, phone number, address and my debit card transaction were in my possession but yet was not good enough to get the difference back of what I was over charged. I was portrayed as a thief instead of a person who called them out on a mistake that was their fault. I also notice they go according to how you are dressed and especiqally if African Amerian you will be followed around the store as if your are going to steal. What is odd is the Asians actually send certain employees to scope you out as if you would not notice that they are watching you. They even got clever and hired African American employees to do the same thing. It does not matter if you hire African Americans, deep down inside....ASIANS DO NOT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE. After I was given a hard time about getting the difference back of what I was overcharged I had to threaten going public, starting a social blog, picketing, starting a petition and going to every website to make potential cusotomers aware of the treatment of customers who give their business to C & C Beauty Supply store. The Asian's want you to spend your money but in the back of their mind.....you are considered a thief. To Asian people, they see that all African American people steal. That is so far from the truth. I literally left this location looking for a wig that I could not locate at another beauty supply store where I was helped immediately. This location is fully staffed yet lack the ability to multitask or provide good customer service. I approached the wig counter and there was one woman working alone with a customer. I knew she was busy so I browsed the displays which are out of reach of the customers in hopes of finding the item I was looking for in order to point it out when she could finally assist me. That moment never came. The associate never acknowledged me with a "Ma'am I'm working with someone and I'll be with you in a few." She just looked my direction and continued working with the other customer. Meanwhile two other associates were behind me in the same area putting up merchandise and they too didn't acknowledge if I needed help. I walked to the front where the cosmetics are to purchase a much needed item. There I was asked if I needed help and watched closely until I made my selection because of course brown people are immediately stereotyped in these type of stores as thieves.. Smh. read more
