Next day came and no estimate. I called and no answer. Left text messages with no response. A week later I tried again with no answer, but owner's wife did call me back from a different number and told me they have been busy and also that they went on a retreat. OK? I was told again they'll get the estimate ready for me but days went by and still no estimate. Now my texts and calls are being ghosted. I guess business is good to turn down work. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional.

When in escrow it was noted there was a problem with the gate not working CCOI was very slow to respond and continued their inability to respond timely to service requests in the first 6 months that we were owners of the property. Yes you read that right, we had to call multiple times for service issues because the first repair was never done properly. Ultimately the gate motor failed; at least that was the symptom given to us on the last service call when the technician was there for about 15 minutes. Lo and behold about a week later I get an estimate for about $3,300 saying the motor is bad and needs to be replaced. I replied to CCOI asking what was the diagnosis; meaning exactly what was it that failed that required an entire motor assembly to be replaced for $3,300? It is apparent they only want to give the symptom (motor is bad) and not a diagnosis, which requires a different type of training for their technicians. This is very much like a car repair shop where they just want to replace the simplest part at the biggest profit margin, instead of disassembling, diagnosing, and repairing. Sadly really this is all too common now as we have become a throwaway society. There never was an answer of any substance coming back from them, they could not or would not answer any questions that trained electrical contractors would know. I ended up removing the motor assembly myself and bench tested it; it cost me about $200 to fix reassemble and ensure proper operation. I did some research from the gate motor manufacturer and at retail the motor assembly is just under $1,200. I sent a message to CCOI after their automated system sent me a reminder for the $3,300 estimate; told them what I had done, it had been repaired for about $200 and a couple hours of my time replacing a capacitor and renewing the armature brushes. I said I was not appreciative of their attempt to price gouge me. Since then, absolutely zero response from the company which thinking about it, is exactly in character for them. An absolute no recommendation here.

He suggested adding copper on the top of the fence which looks fantastic and will make it less susceptible to weather. Want to add that I already had the posts installed and he was able to work with them. He suggested I paint the metal brackets a matte black, which will make the fence look even better.
