He removed 40 year old wallpaper that I tried to do on my own for 15+ hours with little success. He then painted my kitchen to perfection. After that job, I called him to do major sheetrock repair and painting on short notice. He finished the job in one afternoon even though it was a 2-3 day job (I needed it done immediately as the house was going on the market the next morning). Once again, the job was done perfectly. You could not see where the sheetrock was repaired and the paint job was perfect. All of the above at very reasonable prices. Miquel deserves a 10+ rating. I signed the contract in Sep 2019 and it was supposed to be done in 5 weeks. He kept a saying that it was an issue getting the permit from the township. However, it seems that this was all a lie and seems to be more of his lack of follow through with the needed information on his end. (Myself and my neighbor have dealt with the township since and they were very helpful and willing to expedite). He never returns phone calls, texts and emails in a timely manner. Every time you get a hold of him he will always come with some sort of excuse. And now he will not return my full deposit because he bought materials which he has left on my property since September unprotected. He claims that it is still usable treated wood, however, I have met with a contractor and was advised that he would not be able to use the material because it is now bowing. When I asked for a refund he would not return my calls, text, emails until I Cc'd my lawyer that I would take legal action. And now checking his BBB standing it looks like it has dropped to a D and he is no longer accredited. And if you look at his public records he was actually sued and it was settled with a stipulation that the complainant does not make a disparaging remark against him. Hopefully, this review will help others avoid the aggravation.

Black structural columns are not something you see every day, so preparation, product selection, and attention to detail were critical to getting the look I wanted and ensuring the finish would hold up to the elements. Bob came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, took the time to listen to what I was trying to achieve and the concerns I had about the project. He was also able to get the work scheduled within the same week. I worked closely with Ron, who I believe was the lead painter on the job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I supplied the INSL-X primer recommended for fiberglass columns and discussed paint options with him. He agreed with the approach and helped ensure the project was done the right way rather than just the fastest way. The work took two full days and exceeded my expectations. The crew took great care to protect my brand-new porch, covering the decking and railings thoroughly so there was no risk of paint getting where it didn't belong. What really stood out was the follow-up. Both Bob and Ron checked in independently after the work was completed to make sure I was satisfied. They also made it clear that if any issues came up, they would come back and make it right. The pricing was fair, the workmanship was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding from start to finish. It's refreshing to work with a company that still takes pride in doing quality work and standing behind it. I plan to use Monk's again next year for additional interior painting projects and would not hesitate to recommend them.

They came out to do the repair when he said they would (promptly at 8:00 am). They were meticulous in covering my countertops and floors. They worked quickly but efficiently, replaced the sheetrock, taped, spackled, and painted the entire ceiling with 2 coats. They did such a good job that's now it's impossible to see where the previous holes were. They cleaned up after they were done. Highly recommend!
