The installer told me what they were installing was more expensive and would do a better job as a radiant barrier than the thin film I requested, but would not charge me extra for it. I found out later that this was not true. My electric usage (kWH) has not gone down at all as I expected. There is nothing I can do now since the barrier had to be installed prior to the metal panels being installed. They will not return my calls or emails. I would NOT recommend this company for any work. ****UPDATE**** - They showed up to install radiant barrier with a different crew. They are removing the metal panels and placing the barrier on the underlayment. Looks like they're making it good albeit over a month later.

My house was built in '46 and had never had insulation put in the attic and the only way to get it there was when I got a new roof put on.
