I called the number and Olivia quickly scheduled for me. This morning 9:00am Mr. Cliff Sikes showed up on time with his pickup truck. He checked the damaged soffits and said he can fix right away. I was so happy. Cliff not just fixed damaged pieces, he also tighten the whole area and carefully checked every piece by piece and make sure they are all fixed. Just wanted to thank Start2finish who did a fantastic job for my wife and I. We had all the…read moreexisting flooring removed, a combination of carpet(stairs) tile ( powder Room, kitchen and laundry room) and laminate removed and disposed of. The floor needed levelling using liquid concrete and ground down in areas to make it perfectly smooth. The new flooring was picked up by them from a third party and laid throughout the bottom level of our condo and stairs plus the upstairs landing. They also installed new 5 1/4" baseboard. As we live in Canada communication was all done via phone and texts. Everything went smoothly. Thanks to Bill and David the on site supervisor. We are hoping to use them to install new kitchen cabinets and countertops sink and faucet. Highly recommended.

Instead of cutting with a diamond cutter vs a saw or at least using the saw where it is allowed (in the parking lot), the tile setter used the saw inside a small condo! There was dust everywhere in every room and on every surface. He didn't even clean up beyond a simple sweep in the small bath when he completed the job with grouting etc. We thought that the rather high price quoted for the job would come with this professional courtesy but all we got was 100$ credit on a $3k bill that was increased by 250$ since the 1st quote. The final job install looks good, however, you leave a job in a better place than when you got it. The place was a mess and required a professional cleaning. Not impressed!

It probably would have even been faster if i had been at home and available the same afternoon, to be honest. What really stood out to me though, was how wonderfully, over the top accommodating they were with our hectic work and family schedule... right off the bat, the owner himself offered some flexible appointment times and even said the weekend could be an option if we needed that. Thankfully we didn't though. The entire team at Carlos and Brian's was incredibly professional and courteous, from the very first phone call to the guys that came over to my house. They took the time to listen to me, explained everything they were going to do with the random jobs around that we needed done, and their attention to detail for things like wiping down water from the plumbing and cleaning up after was awesome. When they were helping to move some heavy furniture, I was really worried about my hardwood floors, but they didnt scratch them at all.... actually the guys even asked if i wanted them to take their shoes off before walking inside ehen they first arrived. That was a very thoughtful and considerate gesture. Rhey were pretty fast, I asked them to do a few things (put on a new faucet, fix a weird annoying light, move a huge dresser, fix up my old mailbox) and I think they were in and out in about an hour.. I REALLY appreciated that I could Venmo them for payment. Getting cash would have been annoying. Oh, I also liked that they were licensed/insured and showed up looking professional - it was not like I just hired some random dudes to come into my house - you know, just good peace of mind for the few random repair jobs we needed done, just knowing there was qualified professionals working in our home and even if something went wrong they had us covered. They cleaned up thoroughly after completing the repairs, and the quality of work was outstanding. It's not easy around here to find a home repair company that has both repai expertise AND such excellent customer service. In July of 2023, we had our separate 1-car and 2-car garage floors finished by Tru Grit. The end…read moreproduct looked fairly good as long as you didn't look too closely. Some repairs after the initial installation were required which gives the floor an uneven look in some places. After the installation, the solvent smell in the 1-car garage never subsided making it impossible to be in that garage for any length of time. The 2-car garage did not have this problem. Tru Grit came back and added another topcoat in an attempt to eliminate the smell but that only helped slightly. After 3 weeks, the 1-car garage still had a fairly strong solvent smell. After 3 or 4 months, the smell did finally go away. The installation crew was sloppy. During the installation they marred the baseboards with their equipment which required touch-up painting in many places. They slopped the base coat on some of the shrubbery and ground cover. They dumped some sort of liquid in the grass in two different places which killed it, and they got some topcoat on the grass in a third place which also killed it. I had the curbing installed around the perimeter of both garages and they didn't do any preparation of those surfaces, covering blobs of left over sheetrock compound and caulk instead of first removing them. I also had them apply the basecoat to the threshold of the front door and they slopped it onto the door trim requiring significant touch-up painting. Tru Grit did offer to take care of correcting these items. Three years later, the floor looks pretty much like it did in the weeks after installation with one exception - The portion of the floor that is outside the garage overhead doors has yellowed quite noticeably. I noticed on their website in the Q&A portion that they don't actually answer the question as to how resistant the coatings are to UV exposure. The coating is still in place, but I am here to tell you, it DOES yellow over time.
