I was lucky enough to have broken down not a miles from Mike's Auto Clinic on I-70 just outside of Richfield Utah. I called the tow shop up and they pick me & my 24" car trailer up with-in 30 minutes. I live almost 1,200 miles away in Springfield Nebraska. So I had to leave my truck with them to have a transmission put into it. They got the job done in less then a week. I rented a U-Haul van to pull my trailer back home with the wife at my side. I drove back down to get my truck with a friend by using a Enterprise one way rental car. My truck ran fantastic all the way back home the 1,200 miles. I even think it got better fuel mileage on the way back. So today I ordered them Pizza for lunch, I hope they like Domino's Pizza because Lotsa Motsa wasn't open. I was out of town staying in Richfield and after a local trip we headed back to our AIRBNB and noticed some fluid leaking on the driveway. Mike was able to fit me in and changed a defective thermostat gasket at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them. read more

This is one of the most horrific places in Richfield. Having to give them 1 star doesn't set well. They are a AAA provider. Meaning, when you call AAA. They send Mikes Auto. I'm a local here in Monroe. My phone number is a Nevada number. I called AAA from my cell, and I asked for them to send a flat bed to pick up my van on a Sunday. The driver came from Mike's Auto in Richfield. I informed the driver where I wanted my vehicle to be dropped. (Which wasn't Mikes) The driver took it back to Mikes. The next day, when I found out where my vehicle was. I contacted them. After they finally found my van, they informed me that it was going to cost me $900.00 to fix it. It was a cracked radiator which runs about $150.00 for the part. Let's now talk about the fact I told the driver to take it to another location. After having words with their unprofessional manager. I had them take it where I ask them to take it originally. My van was then fixed, and rolling down the road for $350.00! So, fast forward to today. I call AAA again. It's been a year plus later. This is for a different vehicle. Guess who they send? Mikes Auto! The driver couldn't find me. I finally spoke to the driver, and I told him that I didn't need a jump start. I needed to have a flat bed take my truck home. I was in Richfield at the time, but needed to get it to Monroe. The driver told me that he would be where I was in 5 minutes. 15 minutes goes by, and AAA calls, and tells me that Mikes Auto couldn't do the job. They now had to send someone from Manti. Coming from Manti to Richfield is going to be at least another 2 plus hours. ( I've been waiting now for an hour and a half.) Lol, Mikes Auto obviously punched in my address, and profiled me. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and extremely unprofessional! The fact you call AAA and they are the only provider here in Richfield is suspect! Let's not mention that they prey on the folks that are out of town. Now let's talk about how they want to take advantage of the folks here. They pick up your vehicle, and take it to their shop regardless of what they are instructed to do. They then charge you a 70 percent mark up. Hoping people can't afford to pick up their vehicle. Mikes Auto also sells cars. Go figure! I let this go the first time. Shame on me! Like a lot of us, we feel we just don't have the time. Having said that, These people are unscrupulous! They have a monopoly on the AAA calls here in Richfield, and they have the power to just say no. They also prey on the less fortunate folks here. The people here that can't afford to pay their 70 percent mark up to get their car back. So, Mikes wins again! They fix the vehicle, and sell it! Please don't be like I was initially. Wow... Mike and the team at the auto clinic were really a godsend when we needed them. My family and I were headed to Vegas from CO and ended up stranded on the side of the road on I70. Mike and his team diagnosed my vehicle in little to no time at all and had a solution implemented in hours. We made it to Vegas that night and were able to enjoy the time we planned together at our destination instead of on the side of the road or in a shop. I have to give a review of Mikes Auto Clinic. My wife and I with our dog were traveling highway 70 when I had a mechanical failure. I blew a serpentine belt. As I carry a spare I went ahead and replaced on the side of the highway. Well, guess what it ran for a minute and the second belt blew. I called AAA for a tow. I had my truck and was also towing a 16 foot car hauler with a Polaris RZR on it. While waiting on the tow I called Mikes auto clinic and spoke to a woman who stated AAA had contacted them and the owner Mike was driving the tow truck. He arrived and loaded the truck and trailer. He stated the idler pulley was bad. He called ahead and had the parts delivered. He had us back on the road in less than an hour.. A while ago, I had problems with coolant circulation and under heating in the engine of my car. My temp gauge would also fluctuate as well. I know basic maintenance, but this was something I needed a mechanic to fix. I took it in and they found all the problems with that and found a few more. The cool thing is, every time they found a problem, they gave me a call and told me about it. They won't fix a problem without your knowledge and permission. It's been about two months now and there have been no problems since. These are really good and honest people who are willing to fix the problems you have on your car in an orderly and timely manner. Wow! The staff at this shop are nothing but honest and beyond fair. I showed up because my heat gauge was rising very fast when I would start my car, I thought the thermostat was stuck but then was informed it was probably the heat/cool sensor. They had the part brought over right away and went to work on it for me(I'm currently driving from CA to CO) next thing I know they figured out the gauge itself was broken and nothing else. They also caught wind that I was on a budget and they didn't even charge me. They could've easily taken me for $120 but instead they were honest and incredibly friendly. The folks at Mike's were very patient with me as I tried to figure out what to do. I was moving from LA to Denver, and stayed the night in Richfield, and my check engine light went on. I took my car in first thing in the morning, and they checked the codes for me. It turned out my catalytic converter was not performing as well as it wanted to, but they told me it was no big deal and I could carry on and get it taken care of in Denver. Took my car in to get my AC re-wired and payed around 400 for that and the freon to be filled, the AC worked for about a week then stopped blowing air all together. I took it back and they said that nothing was wrong with it and even though it was under warranty there was nothing they could do. I took it apart myself and found that 1) they didn't wire it correctly 2) they didn't bolt my blower motor back into its spot so it was just hanging there with no connection. read more

While repairing our 2007 Jeep Liberty's rear brakes, installing a new water pump, and replacing a window assembly, we received a call suggesting replacing the fan belt. "Yes!" we replied gratefully: They spotted a repair we had completely forgotten about. The repairs were done well and on-time and UNDER THE ESTIMATED COST--that's a first! I decided to leave my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, believing if anyone could figure out what that awful noise was, MIKE'S AUTO CLINIC could, and I was right! He convinced me the noise was the rear differential; I was positive it was the A/C clutch: Mike responded to my emails and his staff relaid my concerns, but in the end I had to defer to his 30 years of experience and not my "best guess." I can't tell you how satisfied I was driving away from his shop with a quiet truck AND one that performed better than it ever did! I broke down on the highway a while back and chose Mike's to repair my truck. The repair that I was paying for was an EGR delete and, to my dismay, my mechanic recently tells me that it has never been done. I am now having the EGR delete performed. Anyway, since I am not a mechanic and probably also because I was from out of town, I got scammed. They obviously threw a band-aide on it and knew that I would be long gone before I noticed it! They were very nice especially Mary however. Regardless, they deserve zero stars, but one is the minimum. I was charged almost $2000 and stranded for two days due to the wrong part being sent the first day (not sure what part that would have been as it surely wasn't the EGR delete kit)! 2003 PT cruiser was overheating. I changed the thermostat and radiator cap myself. Neither helped the problem. Took the car to Red Hill auto repair and the technician did a vapor test to see if the head gasket was blown and the test was negative. The head gasket was not blown. Redhill did not have an opening for about a week so I took it to Mike's. I asked Mike to flush the radiator and otherwise diagnose the coolant system. He kept the car overnight and his technician drove it until it was hot (overheated), drove it back to the shop and then tested to see if the head gasket was blown and of course it was. He drove the car hot and blew the head gasket himself. Then Mike proceeded to quote me A price of nearly $2200 to fix the car. The average cost of a head gasket repair on a PT cruiser is between 900 and $1200. My wife and I were just passing through town and I think they thought we were an easy mark. Mike also had a bill ready of about $100 for diagnosis and at least he waved the bill. Good thing because they didn't do any diagnosis. They took the car for a ride and blew the head gasket instead.
