We called AAA bc of truck troubles on the 15 freeway South and they connected us to James from Dearden Motor in Fillmore. We are so grateful for his help in towing our truck and our family with 2 kids. He was more than willing to tow us to our destination in St. George but after we called a few repair shops, most of the places were closed or closing shortly and he called his shop and they had the battery and alternator we needed to continue our trip. All of the people at Dearden Motors were so kind and helped us so much .. we are so grateful for them! We were in an enormous bind with a broken down transmission in the middle of nowhere, two small children, and a car full of stuff. They immediately helped us price out all of the different options (including tows to larger towns nearby). and they had tons of kids toys to keep our girls entertained while we figured it out. Every bigger dealership was an expensive tow and a several week wait. Eventually, they recognized our desperate situation, and they really went out of their way and worked really hard to get a solution at their place. They got the parts there fast and gave us a reasonable price to get the work done there. they fixed us up and we were back on the road in a day and a half! AMAZING. Dearden quickly assisted AAA to get my car to their shop before closing, looked it over and gave me an estimate on repairs. The cost for repairs were too expensive, so they tirelessly searched for used parts for my car which made the repairs affordable. In addition they have an incredible staff that will go the extra mile to help you out when you are stranded in an unfamiliar town. On our way to Salt Lake City we blew a tire on our 5th wheel. We lost a tire, rim and most of the lug nuts were sheared off. Dearden responded to our AAA roadside call. Richard was our driver and came out within the hour with the parts needed to get us back on the road. We broke down in Philmore, Utah late Friday afternoon. Since Dearden Motors was not open on the weekend, we waited until Monday morning for a tow to the garage. Our driver came early Monday morning, towed the car, and had us back on the road in 2 hours. The staff was friendly and the mechanics were competent. In the middle of a road trip, we blew 2 tires on our fifth wheel and needed tires at 0530 in the morning in the middle of nowhere. AAA contacted Dearden Motor and they contacted us right away. We waited over an hour for them to get to us, but again it was 0530. They took great care of us, put new tires on and even found us a new wheel quickly to replace one that had cracked. This review is based only on the diagnosis I was given for my car. Im grateful they let me bring the car in since I was stranded and needed help, but the diagnostic was so incredibly far off, not to mention the person looked at the car for all of 20 minutes and determined my engine was in bad shape and my oil had metal shavings in it. He recommended I tow the car to a dealership. At said dealership they said they didn't see any metal shavings and that the engine didn't need to be replaced it was only one or two small parts that needed replacement. This place was also not the friendliest and I didn't see any Covid-19 regulations in effect. I will say, the tow truck driver who towed us from here to the dealership gets 5 stars He was a taller red headed gentleman and I don't remember his name, but he was so kind and friendly and really made the hour and a half drive so much better. Our truck was stranded on I-70 and James came to pull our truck and breaking our deer guard. We took pictures on this incident but they initially avoided us to have a conversation about it but finally said, we won't do anything fixing it. I was in disbelief that how can someone vandalizes your truck and providing them with proof, yet taking no responsibility for it. read more

I was stranded without water on a bicycle (I was on a cross-country bike-packing tour), trying desperately to flag down passing cars, but nobody would stop to help me, until I had the good fortune that this driver was passing by, and he was the one person who stopped and came to my aid, and although he didn't have water with him, he gave me his phone number and when I called him later that night he brought me water and food where I was camped alongside the highway. Rhonda and Lorraine and Erica Recently, our car needed to have it's driver side wheel bearing changed, we took our car to Deardens, in Fillmore, What we experienced was horrible. First we called since they said our wheel bearing was going out We made arrangements to get it fixed. They said, yeah bring it in and we will get right to it. Unfortunately, no one worked on the car. We needed it for the following Monday due to the fact, we had dental appointments and doctor appointments scheduled for the that day. We had to cancel 5 appointments, since our car was still in the same place we parked it. We called to see when it was going to be done, They said, right away, then they said they ordered the wrong part. We had to buy a new tire from Walmart so they could put it on the wheel which they did, They never put the donut back in the wheel well. We had to re arrange the truck to fit a wheel chair in on top of the donut. Thank you Deardens, now all of the light are on saying we have major issues with the car, which we never did before we took the car into be fixed. All we needed was a wheel bearing. Now we need brakes in the back, a new head light. and other issues. We will not take our car back in to be fixed. When they want to rebuild our car. sad, especially when you have known this family for over 40 years. read more
