I paid a rush fee, and within three hours of dropping off the jacket to have the work completed, I received a call advising me that the jacket was ready for pickup. I was truly grateful and impressed with the great service. Prices are very reasonable for the great work they provide and are comparable, if not better, to those of other shops. My son is a senior and decided he wanted a letterman's jacket.. we order and because he's a senior his order was super fast in getting it back! Payment was due in full due to being a senior. Unacceptable and disrespectful customer service! Avoid this place. My husband and son visited C&L Varsity Jacket last Saturday to inquire about a custom jacket for our child. We spent about 3 hours discussing options with a staff member named Rachel. When the total came out to a staggering $750 for a child's jacket, my husband understandably hesitated and decided not to purchase it immediately. Rachel then tried to push for a $100 deposit, and when rejected, she dropped it to $50. My husband still declined because we needed time to discuss such a big expense as a family and politely told her we would come back later. As soon as he said that, Rachel's attitude changed instantly. She became extremely hostile and rude. Right in front of my husband and son, she took the printed invoice, aggressively ripped it apart, and threw it straight into the trash. My husband was furious but chose to remain calm to avoid causing a scene in front of our child. This behavior is incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright toxic. My husband's English is not perfect, and we felt a strong sense of discrimination and bias based on language and race. Treating customers with contempt just because they don't make an immediate purchase is disgusting. We will NEVER step foot in this store again. I'm leaving this 1-star review as a warning to others. The management needs to retrain their staff, especially Rachel, on basic human decency and customer service. read more

I came in knowing nothing and coming out with a Varsity Jacket, the Procedure was super easy and quick. The wait wasn't long, the staff were super nice and try their best help. It did take an hour to set everything up but it was worth it. The jacket does live up to it's value, I couldn't complain. There might be restrictions depends on the school you attend to, such as fonts or personal ideas. We've bought 2 Letterman jackets here and are very happy with them. They are made with quality materials and you can tell a lot of thought and care went into them. We brought our jackets in today to add some patches and were told that we possibly might not have enough time to complete both today (which I totally understood because we arrived later than we should have). But then Rachel went into action! She was absolutely AMAZING! She was very nice and was able to get both orders done without making us feel rushed. Honestly, I was a little shocked at the negative reviews when I skimmed the page. This place makes my son's school patches and came recommended by several of the parents who already have jackets from here. So, this is where we came. I made sure to be there right when they opened at 9am. I called the day before to confirm hours and that we didn't need an appointment. We were the first ones there. We were seen almost right away. I'm glad we got there early. After about 30 minutes 4 more people for new jackets showed up. So there was a wait. Rachel was wonderful. Attentive. She explained everything. Recommended the right color patterns, placements, and sizing. She even pulled out a specific patch for us to add a little extra personalization. We loved her. Yes, it is busy. Yes, she was multitasking between other customers, pick ups, phone calls, etc. I had no issues with this. It's a busy place. She still did the job very well. Just come here knowing it's going to take a little while & it's going to be expensive as you make it. Obviously we do not have the jacket but our eta is only 4 weeks. They allowed me to pay half up front and will pay the remainder at pick up which is great. My son is very much looking forward to his jacket. Great place and the staff was helpful. Both my boys got their jackets there. It can take some time so go prepared for 1-2 hours. It does speed up the process knowing what you want by doing some research in advance. The process is kinda old school but the process works. read more

My issue is with Janette. It seems like I am not the only one that has had an issue with her from reading other people's reviews. If you can have someone else help you please try to do that. You would think someone who has been working there for over 20 years and has taken thousands of orders would be more helpful. I was cleaning up my house and decided I wanted to get my high school varsity jacket even though I graduated from high school years ago. I thought I was going to be offered the jacket in different designs and materials but that wasn't the case. At the end where she was totaling everything I asked her if they offered it in a hood style like some of the jackets I saw laying about. On the flyer I got it had 2 styles on it. After changing the price on the order form she had the nerve to tell me "you are not going to wear the jacket." I'm not sure if she got on the wrong side of the bed that morning (this was 30 minutes after they opened) but why would you say that to someone's face that is about to pay a couple hundred dollars on a jacket. Do yourself a favor and keep it to yourself or maybe wait till after I leave to say that comment to yourself. That is horrible customer service and I'm not sure how she hasn't been told that she needs to change her attitude. Ashley was a lot nicer and helpful. read more

In my opinion Zero stars for sure!!!!! Drove over an hour only to be denied at the door during regular Business hours. We even called to confirm their hours. Lady with no customer service at all and not even an apology for denying us because they were too busy. Why even have business hours if they can't serve customers during the time?? They should be by appointment only to respect others and their time. They are definitely not respecting others time continuing to run business like my experience. Run your business by appointment only to respect everyone's time rather than denying them at the door, that may be the better solution for you and potential customers. 5 zeros. She asked me very rudely why I didn't do this in hs and i responded because at the time me and my single mother were poor. Very unprofessional and won't use service again. She said are you sure you want all these patches, because it's expensive. When she told me the total She said are your parents paying? Implying i myself a 23 year old man can't pay for my own stuff. Would put zero stars if I could, terrible customer service. Ordered a jacket over 3 weeks ago and during this time period, I got zero emails, zero text messages, and zero calls regarding the status of this $500+ jacket. I called 3 times and each time got the same response of "we're just adding the last couple of patches it'll be done by the end of the week and when it's done we'll call you". They never called back never sent status updates and just kept extending their timeline. I had a friend order a jacket the same day as I did and he received his product in the time frame they said they would complete it by (5-10 days) which really confused me because we placed an order on the same day for the same product yet I've had zero updates or developments in double the time it took for him to receive a fully completed product. read more

The staff helped me with both my sons Varsity jackets. Here's some tips to help you. I wish I knew these tips before ordering our jackets yet learned thru the process. * * * 1) Ask coach when Varsity letters will be given out if your child may be getting one. Some receive them Sophomore year depending on sport and level of athlete. Schedule appointment BEFORE you receive your Varsity letter. You will then be AHEAD of others scheduling appointments when the letters are given out. Getting your order in earlier. You can always add patches and other items to the basic jacket later as you receive the items. BE PATIENT - jackets take a month minimum to 3 months to be done ( Covid-19 backlogged everything) More like 3 months due to this now. 2) There are MANY options, make a day of it. Take a break, get lunch BEFORE making final decisions on order sign off, or sleep on it and come back to place order. Once order placed that's it ! You will save headache and $$ in trying to change order when already in production. 3) Make sure you can READ CLEARLY the letter font of your last name on back of jacket. Capital Q font for example looks like the # 2. They will work with you to change a letter if needed. 4) If the size jackets they have still seem not to fit in the arms or torso correctly ask for a CUSTOM appointment with their male seamstress. to pay a little extra for a more custom fit. Kids are still growing, what year are they buying the jacket of High School ? You want this to be able to wear for all years in High School for sure. 5) If jacket is too small cannot add material to jacket without looking weird. Will not work. Arms easier to make smaller then torso length due to stretch ribbon around waist of jacket. 6) HAVE FUN ! It's your kids jacket not yours. Make sure THEY like it. My sons wanted different color sleeves. One off-white and the other black. Worth it to see your kid in the jacket, hard work pays off, and they look great ! I am a 6 ft tall 260 lb guy that has always had a problem with finding shirts, jackets etc that will fit me around the shoulders and is long enough at the waist and arms to wrist 's. I found C&L on yelp and called them on a Monday morning and they told me to come right over. When i walked in i was politely greeted and immediately began telling the nice lady at the desk what colors i wanted and sized me quickly.
