They know all the schools as well as the most often ordered bling, patches and fonts for our school. They are very friendly and helpful in choosing the styles that would work best with our school colors (we had lots of questions). We scheduled a Saturday appointment, but arrived early, they took us right away and we were done and out the door in 45 minutes. Very happy with their service. After arriving to discuss all the wrong things on my sons jacket. The staff was rude, I waited for an hour and a half for owner Larry . Staff never called him or tried to help. Half the problem is the unorganized girl you meet to order from. Jacket is $600 and should be done correctly. After all took 4 months! Takes 2 months for patches . My son is a senior. Salesman Brent helped us keep a promise to our son. We promised him if he lettered in a sport, we would get him a letterman jacket. It took four years, but he earned a letterman jacket in tennis. He would not get his letter until May 30th and school ends June 14. Brent understood the importance of our promise to our son. He suggested that we order the jacket early and when our son received his letter, C&L would sew the letter the same day at the shop. Brent was responsive by cell and kept me updated on the progress. When our son received the letter, Brent double checked with the shop and gave them a heads up that we would be coming in the next day to get the letter sown. The letter was sown in 30 minutes! Horrible communication skills. First time down there and didn't know what to expect. I called before we went down there to see how late they were open until. The website showed 5:30 but I wanted to double check. When I called on the phone, Jeanette stated we had to be there before 4:30 to do an order. We showed up at 4:20. When we walked in, no one greeted us and no one said nothing. I finally asked the lady at the front desk that we would like to order a jacket. She told us to fill out a clipboard form. So then we waited another 25 minutes. No one helped us. I finally asked who was the rep for our high school. At that time Jeanette said she would take our order and I didn't want to deal with her because she was completely rude to us in the beginning and I said that we had waited over 25 minutes and then she began to argue with me stating that we didn't wait any 25 minutes. Finally, we got Nancy, our school rep who helped us with everything. I'd recommend making an appointment before going down there. I can't believe we spent $857 on a jacket and received no customer service. But Nancy made it all better thank God. I'm nervous to see how our jacket turns out. Wish us luck. read more

We came here because my son received a flyer from the school as a recommended Varsity Jacket supplier. They make making an appointment very inconvenient. Two weeks later, it was at 9 am this morning. We were attended to right away however, the quality of customer service was far from stellar. We presented the flyer which stated the basic jacket starts at $329 plus a $10 off coupon. Right away the lady says it's $349 now. That's just the beginning of the nickel and diming, literally. Every little thing was an extra charge, including things that should be an option, not an additional charge. On top of that, the lady helping us wasn't convincing me this is where I should spend my hard-earned money. I was asking questions and she seemed annoyed. They lack any type of basic software to show you what your almost $800 at this point was going to look like. I had this feeling to step outside, speak to my son and call a competitor in Whittier. I'm so glad we did. I saved $300 by doing this and was able to not sacrifice quality and get my son the jacket he really wanted. This is not your only option. I regret purchasing our daughter's letterman jacket here. Be prepared to be charged for every stitch (I'm being literal and figurative). The quality of the jackets are not worth the hefty price tag. Customer service was mediocre. One of the reviews here states the character of the owner and it is SPOT ON. I had a conversation over the phone with him. His tone is flat and abrupt. We are the ones who put food on his table. He needs to learn to value his customers and customer service skills. We have found another establishment that offers the same services. My husband went to pick up our sons jacket at noon today and there was no one at the front desk. It sounded like multiple employees were being counseled in a very loud, abrasive manner by the boss/owner which was very unprofessional. The boss was speaking English and was having another employee translate in Spanish his issues with the female Spanish speaking employee. My husband speaks fluent Spanish and what the boss was saying to her was very mean and she was responding that she doesn't like that he always yells at her. Terrible. When I went to C& L I was greeted by Kelli and she was so very helpful, we sat down and went colors of jackets and the type of leather that would be nice for my custom jacket, until we arrived to discussing my Alta mater colors and it turned into a great conversation about them passing by there weeks ago. When we replied "yes," we were told to have a seat. The person who helped us wasn't any better. Started off with an assertive, in your face discussion of jacket sizing. Really?? As we sat at her desk in the back, we had the unfortunate experience of listening to the person in the upstairs office have a yelling tirade on the phone (sounded like a personal phone call). I rarely leave a bad Yelp. I was pretty much raised if you have nothing good to say, then just don't speak. But in this case, I'll make an exception! A few weeks ago i drove 23 miles one way without getting to order a jacket!!! I previously called and asked what I should bring and if an appointment was required. I was advised to bring in all the patches and appointments were not needed. I wanted to surprise my son, but i was advised to bring him along for sizing. The moment I arrived a sales associated did not say hello, she just asked if we were there to place an order. I said yes. She asked if we had an appointment I said no. She then said we needed one. I told her i called. She then rudely said well Saturdays are different and we're all booked up. I was upset, so i left. Without a sweet sixteen gift for my son. Listen, I know the jackets are wonderful, I've heard lots of great things about the jackets. But if i'm going to spend that kind of money on a jacket, your customer service should be better. Called the place and was extremely helpful during my first call with useful information after talking over with my son called back to find out however they neglected to tell me only Saturdays are only for orders not quotes and you can call and make appt in the week of. They close at five during the week when they do quotes . I don't get off till 530 and work about hr away and do not have the luxury of taking time off of my job My suggestion to cater more to your customers is to stay open late one day during the week or have more staff on hand on sat and have a certain number for quotes and another number of clerks for actual orders. NO Response for 3 weeks!!!! This company had in previous years gone out to my sons school to sell their letterman jacket. Recently they had not come out because of low order amounts. As a parent who wanted a jacket for my child I decided to try to find an alternative (less expensive) route so that the more students would be able to get jackets. As a courtesy I was asked to at least contact C and L to ask them out to the school to present their product. I spoke with the office who gave me Pats cell number. I called Pat and we spoke for about 25 minutes. I explained what I was trying to do for the kids, and he was very rude to me. He told me to just go with someone else. I examined that the school had wanted me to contact C and L first to see if they would come to the school. He continued to be rude and said he would contact me the following day after speaking with the owner. I called him the next evening and asked if he was still planning on calling me? He said the owner was supposed to call me. I never received a call. I was told by Pat that the owner would contact me in regard to going out to the school. It has been 3 weeks now and still no response. Very unprofessional. We will just have another company out to the school. read more

I went to La Habra High and used this company in 2007. Great work & exceptional service back then & it still seems to be the case when I went in this week. My younger sister is attending a Warren high school in Downey. Her school did not give any information about C&L and instead another company in downtown whittier. When I went into the shop in whittier crappy service and I was told she could not customize her jacket. I told her lets check out C&L instead because of my great experience over 5 years ago was great. We went down there and explained that her school did not offer any information on C&L and only reason I knew of it was because of my experience. They were surprised. I guess the sales rep in charge of her school has been doing a crappy job. Which is a shame because I know they can get alot more job orders from the Downey area. Oh well, anyways Yoselin helped us out right away. She was so patient and kind. We were extremely indesive with all the options. She stayed with us for over a hour and a half explaining everything and helping us give her professional opinion. I extremely appreciated it! It really helped to see alot of the jackets already done and the selection of samples they had. Because what we thought we wanted in our heads, looked very different in person. They have a great amount of options, especially if patches are not typically made they can make them for you (ex.ASB, AVID etc). My sister is also pretty small and needed a YXL, and she recommended that they make a new smaller patch for the front of the jacket in her school colors because the typical size might be to big on the jacket. I would have never thought of that. So I appreciated that. They even have bedazzlement options. I was jealous they didn't have that back when I was in school. I know they make everything in shop. Any work is usually about 2-3 weeks. The sales rep also explained to me that in the summer they are typically less busy so she mentioned my sister might get her jacket sooner. Yes the jackets are expensive but I for there quality of work, options, time frame, and guarantee that if anything goes wrong with the jacket (minus washing) they will fix for free it was definitely worth the price! Overall great place! Few recommendations-1. Bring all your patches (if you have them) if not in most cases they can make the patches for you but there will be a cost. 2. Bring 50% for the deposit. 3. Save yourself time and waiting and make a appointment. read more

They were able to replace a patch my son had lost and the quality of the jacket was great. Best of all was their turn around time. Beautiful jackets, but good luck getting them in a timely manner. Very little communication, too, and every excuse in the book as to why things aren't ready. I was even told today that they don't have patches in stock because they work with 500 schools (overextended maybe??) and each patch has to be digitized and printed separately. My husband worked in embroidery, and you don't digitize every single patch; you just have to do it once. Just to get some patches put on and some bling fixed (some of which was missing when they initially delivered the jacket), they charged me over $130 AND kept our jacket for over 10 weeks (all summer) until we demanded to get it back unfinished so my daughter could actually wear it for football season (she had already not been able to wear it for the first two games). The estimated time in the computer, which was never told to us, was 13 weeks. 13 weeks to get some patches put on?!!! We are now getting quotes from other vendors for our team's jackets. read more

On both occasions the service that we received was outstanding - they provided us with a timeline that was very reasonable, and managed to deliver ahead of schedule both times.
