They gave me a 4 hour time frame 12-4 and the technician, Jesse, called a little before 12 and said he was on his way. He was at my home about 20 minutes after he called. He took a look at everything and it was my motor that I had heard because it had metal shavings in it and when he told me it was 1997, I knew it had a good run but it was time to replace it. Jesse was great and explained everything he was going to be doing, He had a a new motor in his van so he was in and got everything changed out, realigned and programmed in a couple of hours. Upon arrival my husband, Taylor and I got to talking about our garage door needs. Initially we brought Jolly Goat out for the possibility of maintenance for the current door we have. After assessment we asked for an estimate for repair and new door. After hearing the cost for repair to the current door, it was decided we will be getting a new door instead. I appreciate the time for them making the drive out at our request. At the end of the appointment, Taylor got the final quote and other documentation sent to my email and measurements completed, so they could get the door ordered as soon as possible. At the end, their repairman basically told me our garage door was in bad shape (drums shot, cable ready to snap, etc.) and quoted us $605 if we did it in the next 24-hours. Called Discount Garage Door for a quote to do the job. Chris was sent to my house within two hours and told me that the door rollers should be replaced, but that the garage door lift equipment was perfectly fine. He also asked who did the spring replacement t and told me that they were very undersized for my type of garage door.
