We contacted them at 8:00 in the…read moremorning and asked if they gave free estimates, and specified that we did not want any work done till we had a quote and confirmed. They arrived with in 30 minutes of the quoted time. After looking at the situations, we asked for a quote for just tree cutting (cutting the fallen tree to manageable sections) and one quote for complete removal. The complete removal was quoted to be $1400. I said that it sounded great and asked him to please send me a written quote to ensure that the price and work expectations will be the same. He said okay, and asked me to text the email to him. Within roughly less than 3 hours, and 4 exchanges... he finally sent me a written quote of $2100. When inquired if it was an error, he texted back and said "It's not a mistake; sometimes it happens when you look for several quotes and then you make a decision" 10:20 I texted my email to him as requested at the end of meeting 11:50 He texted me and that he sent the quote. He only sent for cut only, not for cut and haul. So I immediately asked for a full clearing quote. 1:09 I get the quote for full clear and asked if it was an error - much more than discussed 1:19 he said "It's not a mistake; sometimes it happens when you look for several quotes and then you make the decisions." A company that literally jacked up your price because you were shopping for a quote - is not trustworthy to perform work without written quote.. Would not recommend work without written quote for buyer protection. We did not have them waiting for an unreasonable amount of time by any stretch of the imagination - most of it was waiting for them to send me written quotes. Pictures just to give you the idea of how interested I was and really wanted a written estimate.

After coming out in person to assess the trees, they provided us with what seemed like a solid, straightforward quote. We scheduled the work based on that agreement -- only for them to come back later demanding a higher price ($400 more) and insisting they also take the cut wood that we very clearly said we wanted to keep. They used to excuse for wanting to take the wood as there reason to not complete the job. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, communication completely fell apart after that. They stopped responding, never followed through on the revised plans, and ultimately wasted our time. We rearranged our schedules for their availability, only to be left hanging with no explanation. Professionalism, reliability, and honest pricing matter -- and unfortunately, this company fell short on all three. I would not recommend them based on our experience.

They also pointed out the same issue in several of our other aspens so we had them cut those down as well. Some of those trees overhung on our neighbors yard and they did a good job cleaning up his yard as well. Cleanup was very good in the yard although the wood could have been piled neater. The crew worked till well after dark and we were a little unhappy about being expected to inspect their work in the dark. Overall very satisfied with the trimming, cutting and cleanup. The young man that did the climbing and cutting was extremely good.

BEWARE OF COLLATERIAL DAMAGE! I met Cory Robinson earlier this month to discuss some tree work…read more We walked out property and quickly came up with a plan. Several days later he arrived with his crew and got busy with the issues we discussed. Our rear yard is not accessible with equipment so it was a hands on project. So far, so good. The problem began when they decided it was necessary to use a truck and rope to help pull a large tree trunk down so it could be sawn into smaller pieces. To be fair, the work we agreed on was completed as expected and done in an afternoon. Here's where I have a problem. When they used the truck to pull on the trunk, they did so from our NEIGHBORS front yard without my knowledge and without permission from anybody. The result was large, deep ruts and obvious tire tracks on the lawn. I pointed out the damage and he promised to repair the damage to its ORIGINAL condition: level surface, seeded and straw. What we got was a few little bags of topsoil which didn't put a dent in the damage. After several texts to him, he kept promising me he would have it completed "the next day " which obviously never came. SO, now I'M stuck with the repair and cost to make the neighbors whole again. (Through no fault of my own) Cory and his crew are nice guys and I might use them again but just beware to check carefully before he leaves. Guess I better get busy.....
