While the lobby/entry area is free to visit and has mostly snakes in cages, seeing the other animals requires a tour. We paid $11 apiece for a group tour in the off season, without advance reservations. The tour was very informative, and we learned the stories behind each of the captive animals. Those giving the tour were able to answer most of the questions that were asked. The facility is sponsored by a number of local businesses, and animals seemed to be generally well cared for.
