All the recent rain and street flooding that had our meter under water for an extended time caused some soil expansion and thus cracked the pvc pipe. My boss recommended Drain King and they came by and got the leak fixed in under two hours...one of the few reasons to thank soggy soil...it's easier to dig. The fellow fixed the pipe with higher quality parts than were in the ground in the first place and made efforts to keep the housing of the meter off the pipes themselves. They told me that they didn't cut me off of the wet stuff, but instead I should call a plumber, there was a leak that led to someone who came and shut the water off. I called Tomsett early in the morning, and explained the problem. They said that they had a job in Aransas Pass, but this didn't sound like a big job, so they could take care of it immediately. Within minutes, they were on the job. They diagnosed the problem, let me know what was happening, what it was going to take to fix it. We discussed the options on how to fix it, and Tomsett made some recommendations.
