To me that means, no…read morepicture of the reviewer, often just a few (or less) reviews to show for it, sometimes debatable personal experience, and with some sort of revenge (for slights real or imagined) on their minds. For this long-time Yelp Elite, these reviews go to the very bottom of my credibility pile. I'm a loyal customer, even though I live in Nevada and only have Troy cut my hair if I happen to be in town and I need to get my hair back in control. My Dad and my Brother come here too. My last visit was earlier this week was around Troy's opening time (7:30 AM), with no wait, nice conversation, and back out to the care in short order. I enjoy our conversations and catching up on Campus and Community happenings. The Barber Shop itself has comfortable seating, good reading material (if I need to wait), sports on the TV, and just an all-around comfortable vibe. Free parking is available across the street. My last haircut was on the short side, which I like, while Gayle is still considering. But when one is nearly bald up top, shaggy sides and comb overs don't look so good to me these days.

I used Tommy's about 4 months ago and loved my haircut. I went back and was put with a new…read morestylist. I was very specific. The stylist chopped my hair. Its uneven and looks completely awful. I tried calling the owner Michelle on Tuesday, she wasn't in and I left a message. I called again yesterday and told she wasn't in on Wednesday's. I called again twice today before she called me back. She apologized profusely telling me that they didn't try to make my haircut bad. I told her that had nothing to do with it. It's all choppy and completely uneven. She said I could go back in for them to fix it and that I would be with the same person. Absolutely not! She then said I could be put on her "waiting list" that currently is 6 weeks out. I don't think any of that is an option. I think it's horrible that they didn't help me now, not 6 weeks down the road. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

They don't necessarily have seasoned staff for what they charged. That said, I love my hair dresser. She was the best in town but moved 6 months after I started with her. I tried someone else but I didn't like my cut/color so I can't recommend anyone. I got my nails done recently. The service was fine in that they use better methods than a typical nail shop but they aren't as good as those technicians because the aveda staff don't do as many nails as only nail technicians. If you want someone who takes their time, uses good products and can pay double what you would pay in town, then this is the place to go. Staff is friendly. Products are great. Place is clean.

She has also implemented a reward system for customers to earn cash off purchases, making for a repeat customers. The new store location seems to fit the needs of the store very well. The store carries a few lines that I haven't seen elsewhere one of which is "Dragon", a personal favorite. Targeted more towards those with a sweet tooth, the "Dragon" line is a mix of various fruits coupled with creams. CV also carries a few house blends which seems to keep many of the regulars happy. As far as hardware, the store's owner prefers well established mods and atomizers, in an attempt to reduce overhead.
