Corey did an excellent job of showing us all of the different models and their features so we could make the best decision, and also kept us from making any mistakes when selecting the fireplace. I just had a chase cover and vent cap for the fireplace installed by C Bennett and the work was stellar. The original measurements were taken by Jacob B and Cody L and the fit was perfect. Today, Cody L and Cody M came and did a great job with the install. They made sure that I was happy with the work after completion, and I have to say they both did an excellent job. Just completed the installation of our new gas fireplace insert. It looks beautiful. Thank-you Cory (sales) and Jason (installation). It took about 4 weeks from order to install, so plan ahead. Ours was completed by Christmas. My apologies to Cory for all of my worrying. The installation was flawless. For my own peace of mind, I did choose to have a licensed plumber, at my expense, (Arch plumbing) tap and run the gas line back to the fireplace for Jason to hook-up to. Upon my arrival, Corey and Clayton took me back to the showroom of showers and immediately knew what I needed and started getting all the things prepared for me. Rude. Unhelpful. The type of business that only wants to talk to you while you are purchasing something from them. After that and the deal is done, they don't want to give you the time of day to even answer a quick question. I called and spoke with a woman who answered the phone, and she wouldn't even try to answer my question or connect me with somebody who might just maybe be able to help me. She basically screens the calls and keeps you from talking to someone within the actual store. Once you've purchased from them they wash their hands of you. read more

On March 21st we engaged CBennett Building Supply to install a 90 degree shower enclosure and a large vanity mirror. During the measuring process we were informed it takes 7 - 10 days for the install. During the sales process we were informed multiple times it takes 7 - 10 days for the install and that it was very possible our door would be installed on the earlier date. We have an email from our Sales Rep on 3/21 stating she was ordering the shower doors that day. We have an email confirming 7 - 10 days. Today (4/2) I called to see if our door was in. I was told our door is not expected until April 12 or 13, making an install of April 16 highly likely. We were not informed of the delay or the reason for the delay. Our family is being relocated out of state -- we planned to sign a listing agreement this Friday to put our home on the market. Now we learn we have to wait TWO weeks because this company doesn't have their stuff together. Try calling and getting to a Sales Manager or owner of the company -- Wish we would have read the reviews on google before contacting this company. ************************Update Post Install ********************************* Thanks to Ron the Operations Manager we got our shower and mirror installed on Friday April 6th. The install was in progress when the Appraiser was doing his walk-through. The C Bennett installer was very professional and did a nice job. We have two gas fireplaces. 1 in our family room on the main floor and one in our lower level. The units are two different styles of fireplaces. C. Bennett also installed these two units when we built our home a few years ago. We are very pleased with the appearance and the operation of these two units We had our annual service work done on these two fireplaces on Friday November 12, 2021. Matt from CB was timely, professional and very knowledgeable about our units. He cleaned the units, the glass and checked the operation of each fireplace. Worst customer service ever. Send a repair guy out without his service van so had no parts to fix the problem. Simone was suppose to call over a month ago to reschedule have never heard from anyone. This place is a horrible place to work for, they'll lie, & cheat you with damages products and cause water damage to you're home. They underpaid every employee that was in there- if they can take advantage of them, they will. Other employees found out what I was making- 2$ more than they were and had issues then with the Warehouse manager. After that I was threatened to be fired which is Illegal to do under the The National Labor Relations Act, also known as the "Wagner Act," became law in 1935. It's the basis for employees' rights to talk about wages with their coworkers. read more

Can only speak to their professional safety. One of their vans just carved us up driving east bound on 64/40. It was raining heavily and the driver was on his phone. He slowly pulled into our lane forcing us to almost hit the truck to our right. It was a heavy downpour and the driver was on his phone, completely disregarding the safety of everyone else on the road (including the person he was tailgating). I'd email them to complain but their website contact form doesn't seem to work on iOS. read more

Called C Bennett the middle of November to place a service call. Got a recording stating they are not scheduling service calls until after Thanksgiving. Called the Monday after Thanksgiving and got a recorded message starting they are not scheduling service calls until after the new year. Now I'm left with a fireplace that doesn't work and no one to service it. read more

Had an electric fireplace insert from this company 4 years ago. The power box went out on it and I have called the salesperson who connected me with the customer service department and was never called back. Called a number of times and left messages and no one has returned my call. If you sell a product you should know how to service the product. read more

We built a custom home and finished 5 months ago. We used CBennett for our fireplaces (indoor and out), closets and shower door. Our experience was awful. They were by far the most stressful part of our build. The communication and organization of of the company was awful in our experience. Each time when I was told that they were going to be out to measure or spec something, it never happen when they said it would was going to (one time the excuse was weather related and 3 weeks later it had still not been done). when installing our fireplaces, they forgot a part so the installation was not complete. They never even passed this information along to me. The only reason I knew was because my general contractor just happen to be on site Then I had to follow up constantly to see when the job was going to be completed The billing / invoices were almost always incorrect (I would put half down at time of order and would get an invoice for full amount or the invoice was just inaccurate). Our heavy glass shower door has already lost a piece, and it was just installed in May. I emailed Heather who was our sales person several days ago and have not heard anything back. If you are trying to build a home or do a project, I would stay far away from CBennett. They will add a lot of stress and aggravation. read more

We built a new home in St Peters MO (June 2016) and were referred to C Bennett by our builder for appliances and the fireplace. We went with upgrades for the appliances and am very satisfied with those ......... however, we also upgraded to a gas fireplace with mirrored inserts to give a cool illusion of multiple flames. Unfortunately, we have yet to enjoy it due to what I assume is the igniter failing to function, Excuse after excuse on the part not being available or the wrong part was shipped and us having to call C Bennett to follow-up. The holidays have come and gone - it sure would have been nice to have a working fireplace...... Lousy service is all I can say about our experience with C Bennett.
