I would not recommend using this company to anyone. I have been calling, leaving messages, and actually going to the store for the last 2 weeks and cannot get in contact with anyone about my purchase of custom cabinets. The store is closed and empty every time I've gone and it's been before 3pm (they close at 5). Seems like a reoccurring issue as there was a note on the door from another gentleman who was in the exact same situation but had been 4 weeks with no contact. After using one of the "Big Box" stores for countertop installation, resulting in a measured-too-narrow countertop, and broken cabinet doors, I was apprehensive and leery of all companies when I shopped around for a replacement countertop. Affordable was WONDERFUL! The resulting countertop looks great, and everyone involved, from showroom to installation, was professional and friendly. Unlike many of the other companies I visited, Affordable is far from pretentious. At no time did I feel I was being judged or pressured into any material-type or design. The installers arrived on time, answered any questions, and finished earlier than I'd expected. I didn't entirely realize how messed-up the "Big Box" installation was until the Affordable one was installed. I'd almost felt I was being too judgmental until I heard the Affordable guys remarking to each other about the how parts of the prior installation were odd, and to look out for questionable materials and installation techniques. Friends and family have commented on how good the kitchen looks now. Even though their showroom is over 30 miles from my home, it was worth the drive. In fact, since Affordable also does bathrooms, I will most assuredly be contacting them again in a few monthes for that project. After my prevous contractor retired, and then living with the disastrous results left by the Big Box people, it is so, SO very reassuring to know I have found in Affordable a company that I can trust, and will always recommend. read more

This company does wonderful work! Kind, knowledgeable and professional. My brother-in-law had his kitchen remodeled by them and it is beautiful! I can't wait to have them working on my house. They are sadly being targeted by a troll spreading lies. Please do not believe them. This is a company very worthy of your business. And Yelp, seriously? The review from a woman in Montgomery, Texas? Wrong Affordable K&B. Move that review to the business in Montgomery Texas which happens to have the same name but has nothing to do with the one in St. Peters Missouri. Dishonest people who sell boxed junky cabinets. Not even 2 years old seams splitting!

CANNOT stress enough how much we would NOT recommend this company! The worst for communication, job performance & customer service. Britney Callier - son of Dave Callier (business owner) sadly is running things at AKB now so you have no choice but to try and work with him if you do business here. Our whole process started for a new shower and vanity back in March and we're now over 7 months and counting. We were originally told 6 weeks! Gave the down payment on Mar 21 and told 13 weeks. At 9 weeks we hadn't heard anything so we stopped by the store for an update and this finally got them to do the final measurements and was told it would be delayed on account of materials still needing to be ordered even though they cashed our check within 2 days. Red flag -they only take cash or check -now we and others know why. Hadn't heard a word again so July 17 we stopped by the store to be met with more excuses. Asked for the owner to call us. Finally, on Aug. 2nd, 5 months later for the first time EVER we heard from someone. Told us others were waiting longer than us. Not a good sign and not told to us up front. Things looked like they were finally going to be completed the week of Aug. 14 only to be left with a horrible installation, The doors were put on backwards leaving holes in the shower walls, the doors were not aligned, the shower fixture (wrong one) was loose (videoed this) caulking was so bad any amount of water would get behind and ruin the walls. The fan was never connected properly and the vanity we were told was defective so we never saw that. We have not been able to use or even turn the water on. We contacted Brit and John Dolence (owner of Mission Contracting) immediately with email, pictures and a phone call as the guys left saying "enjoy your shower". We were told it would be about 2 weeks and they would replace and send new guys. Again, no communication & numerous unanswered emails so Sept 21 we stopped by the store and videoed the encounter. Rudely, we learned that our replacement materials were in and nobody bothered to call. For Real! Feeling scammed, we've had to contact the BBB, the Attorney General's Office and now a private lawyer. Brit has been rude, patronizing, and condescending during this process. We did a google review and from that, we have now met and come into contact with others in the same situation as us with AKB since Brit has taken over. Brit actually lied and told the Atty. Gen. we have a fully functional shower and he knows we do not! AKB is denying us a refund to hire someone else and John said he has someone in mind to replace the work, but Brit refuses to let him return to honor the original contract. We call this breach of contract. Best advice- wish we had, is DO NOT buy from this dishonest unscrupulous company. They have our money plus some and we do not have a functional shower. Affordable Kitchen and Baths has extremely poor customer service - especially Amy Hotchkiss. We made it through about 50% of our design and order phase and then we did not hear back from Ms. Hopkins even after numerous emails and phone calls over a 4 month period. At first she told us she was busy and was working on our design and cost estimate and then we heard nothing at all. We lost a lot of time with our kitchen remodel. Our budget increased to $40K but she would not return our correspondence so we could let her know. We also had friends who work with her on new countertops and experience the same thing. No decency to even say they didn't want our business. We were extremely patient but finally had to move on. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

We have found Affordable Kitchens and Baths to be both unprofessional and dishonest. We paid them in full for materials and 20% installation in April 2022, for a kitchen remodel that was to begin in July 2022. After three months of calling and being put off, they finally started our remodel on October 17, 2022. The day they began we received a call from Lonnie, VP of operations for a check for an additional 60% of install which he sent someone to pick up. The man that showed up to demo our kitchen and hang new drywall didn't protect our floors and left deep gouges and scratches throughout. On day three he admitted that he wasn't employed by Affordable K & B but was an acquaintance of their subcontractor John and said he probably wouldn't be returning to complete the job because there was a dispute over money. He was going to try to work something out with John when he left. Lonnie Walker contacted me about 15 minutes after he left that day to ask for additional funds to which I declined. The drywall was atrocious. He left 4 inch gaps at the bottom of each wall. He drywalled over electric outlets and exhaust duct for microwave. He did not remove any door casings instead cut and removed drywall close to casings leaving large gaps and gougings in casings. When he began to instal cabinetry the first one out of the box was damaged. The lower cabinets were installed but an additional upper double cabinet was ordered incorrectly and had to be replaced and another piece was damaged. We were told by Lonnie there would be a 7 day rush for replacement cabinetry and were under the impression that in one week they'd be back to complete the kitchen. THEY NEVER CAME BACK! For 6 weeks we called and were told the replacements weren't in. They literally worked 8 days in our home. They stopped taking our calls. We asked a friend who's an attorney to send letters to negotiate at the very least the replacement cabinetry that we'd paid for. They wouldn't give them to us. After being left without a kitchen for 3 months we were tasked with hiring another company to repair mistakes, order replacement cabinetry and complete the remodel. We spent an additional $10,000. Five months to the day after demo began, our kitchen was completed! We contacted the Attorney General, BBB (who agreed that they hadn't tried in good faith to finish our remodel) and we are still tasked with hiring a private lawyer to litigate this matter as Affordable has not responded to them. We did a relatively small remodel in our master bath and the experience with AKB was as good as it gets. Natalie, our designer, led us through the labyrinth of decision making and made the process as easy as it could be. We ordered custom cabinets and they arrived in the timeframe advertised. Kelly did the majority of the installation and he was great. He always arrived when he said he would, completed the job in two half days and did a great job. We couldn't have asked for a better result. And, best of all, my wife is COMPLETELY satisfied. If we were to do any other kitchen or bath remodel, it will be with AKB. read more

We hired Affordable Kitchen and Bath as our cabinet supplier for our new home build. The project scope was extensive with Affordable supporting cabinet design/layouts for all bathrooms, kitchen, a wet bar, a butler's pantry, and custom built-ins. To make things more complex, we were living 300 miles away building the house at a distance, which required extensive communication online or over the phone. What speaks volumes to their service is the fact that we got everything we wanted, below our original budget targets, and we only had to visit on-site once to finalize the layouts, and once more to select colors. Affordable provided us with an array of options for cabinet designs to better understand what was driving price, allowing us to make decisions on where we wanted to spend our dollars. For the custom built-ins, Affordable did all of the design work and helped us figure out what made the most sense to have the carpenters build on-site and what made the most sense to purchase from Affordable. Having the carpenters/painters due all the work would have left us with an expensive and substandard product. Affordable's flexibility in optioning out parts of the built-ins and supplying the designs for others allowed us to construct the custom built-ins exactly how we pictured them (or better!) at the minimum amount of cost. In doing any home remodeling or construction work, communication and trust are critical, and Affordable hits all of those out of the park.
