It felt much more like an educational experience rather than just a tasting, which made it even more enjoyable. This goat cheese seemed mild and our server recommended a drizzle of balsamic to balance it out. Great suggestion! The icing on top of our visit was our server - whose name unfortunately can't recall. When we asked for recommendations for other local wineries to visit, she offered to make us a list and wrote the down for us. Above and beyond kindness! They were doing a few blind flight tastings that I didn't partake in, but my co-worker and client did. They brought out three wines and you got a little card that would reveal which was which. What a creative idea! All the wines we enjoyed were absolutely delicious! I can be a little particular about what I like, but these were great and absolutely matched my palette. Although we didn't order any, they also had a lot of yummy food options and the baked brie and goat cheese both smelled delicious. Service was so sweet and so attentive. The staff was very friendly! Cooper is a family run winery and is all about the Bordeaux-style reds. Their wines are exclusively made from their estate vineyards. We've also had the chance to attend their annual CoopFest event. This event is a chance for members to get together and enjoy the wines. We had a lot of fun walking through their vineyards and stopping at multiple stations to taste their wines including their Gatekeeper line up. Their Gatekeeper line highlights varietals such as Sangiovese, Syrah, Nebbiolo, and Zinfandel. Their tasting room is in the same building as their barrel room, production area, and fermentation room. There are tables on the ground floor, however the tasting room is located on the mezzanine level. There's a long bar top and multiple tables to accommodate large parties. We've had numerous tastings and always walked away even more in love with their wines. Our favorites are the C4, Merlot, Carménère, Cab Sauvignon, and their Gatekeeper Nebbiolo. Service is fantastic and true to their mantra. You feel like you are part of the CoopClub. We are happy we stumbled upon this winery and excited to taste future releases!

I've completed numerous tastings and attended release parties and dinner at Col Solare. My recent experience was their Harvest Dinner with the wine maker. The 4 course dinner was paired with their exceptional wines. The event was hosted by their wine maker, Stephanie Cohen. My favorites were their Rosé, Tenuta and Cab Franc. Service is also noteworthy. During my last pick up party, a staff member gave me a tour of their barrel room. It's these little touches of customer service that always impresses me. I ended up purchasing a double magnum of their 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. Overall, I highly recommend Col Solare. I just wish they would open a new tasting room in Woodinville.
