I can't entirely fault this shop: Apple very effectively incentivizes using their own products and specifically says on their website that you shouldn't use non-Apple parts. I run a large, very complex digital, pro tools based music studio. We're talking multiple SSDs, HDs, outboard equipment, interfaces, controllers .
